National Summit on Justice Reinvestment and Public Safety
The Justice Center, sponsored by the Council of State Governments, recently held its annual conference which focused on the issue of justice reinvestment and public safety. The proceedings of this conference are provided, in video format, for your review. Much of what was discussed can be applied to all jurisdictions and many of the speakers provided insightful commentary and analysis regarding the issues of recidivism, spending, and the justice systems need to focus on prevention. The Justice Academy greatly appreciates the work of the Council of State Governments to provide for the exchange of ideas and viewpoints on these contemporary issues and for making these conference proceedings available to the national audience of law and justice professionals.
