IRAQ: THE JEW'S WAR

    The religious war in Iraq continues.  It is a fundamentalist's religious war in every sense of the word.  A fundamentalist and neo-con Judaeo-Christian Crusade for oil and Israel.  A religious war of our government’s choosing, launched by religious forces within our government.  This war was launched by a born-again president put into power by the Christian Zionists of the religious right with the main beneficiary of this long, bloody conflict being the theocracy of Israel who has ignored every UN Resolution, refused to admit to their weapons of mass destruction and will not sign the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty and who routinely violates Palestinian human rights in the name of their God.  War for the Holy liquid Oil and the Holy State of Israel.  This war did not come upon us suddenly by surprise attack.  That is a different war--The War on Terror.  This war in Iraq was not forced upon us.  It was a war of Washington’s choosing.  They chose the time, the place, the reasons.  The reasons were false.  They manufactured the case for war. The primary cause for the invasion, WMD, links to Al Quaida, were later found to be artifice. (government statements) But they got their war in the Middle Eastern Oil fields to protect the Jews.  As in Vietnam and the Gulf of Tonkin Resolution (later repealed), The Spanish-American War and the Mexican-American War the pretext for war was manufactured by misrepresentation, playing upon basic fears and whipping up public fury.  Easy to do in the fear and anger filled time following 9-11. 

    Now it is once again time for the youth of America to bleed and die in a faraway land for the imperial Mid-East ambitions of Washington DC and Jerusalem. As of today 1,825 American soldiers have died in the war.  According to  (Aug 05)  http://www.jewishsoldier.org/9401.htm  only 4 were Jewish.  (With about 2.5% of the population you would have expected around 40-45 Jewish deaths.)  And before the final chapter is written there will be thousands if not tens of thousands more returning home in body bags and tens of thousands if not over a hundred thousand returning physically and/or psychologically scarred, some by Depleted Uranium.  A Flood of Troubled Soldiers  Wounded in Action  The war in Iraq is just beginning.  The average insurgency last 9 years.  Comparisons are being made to Vietnam.  Echo's of Vietnam   Already it is a trillion dollar war when you factor in all costs.  Over 5,500 soldiers have deserted, some have fled to Canada.  And there is no end in sight.  But its all good for Jerusalem. 

       Now we fight three wars with volunteer forces (though that may change (The Return of the Draft.)  The War in Iraq, the War in Afghanistan and the worldwide War on Terror.  And they will be long wars with separate endings over the next 30 years.  In Iraq a Christian army from the Christian nation that has given the Jews anything and everything they wanted, kept Israel afloat financially, protected the Jews as they persecuted the Palestinians and stole their land, the Christian nation that has allowed Israel to become a Nuclear superpower with  200-400 Weapons of Mass Destruction now attempts democracy in a Muslim nation at the point of a gun in a flanking move for the Jewish theocratic and racist state and a grab for oil.  Afghanistan had to be done.  Iraq did not.  Afghanistan was a training ground for Al Quaida who attacked us on 9/11.  Iraq had not militarily recuperated from Gulf War 1 when we decimated their armed forces.  We had bombed them off and on for ten years.  Over a million Iraqis died from the US backed sanctions.  We quite possibly could have bombed them into regime change without invasion and occupation.  Yet we attacked and occupied a nation that had not and did not threaten us, did not at the time of the attack have WMD or even a program to develop them and did not pose an imminent threat to the United States of America..

    What is happening is a quagmire.  We are constructing 14 "enduring military bases" in Iraq at this writing.  Perhaps they will need more if the insurgency worsens and indications are that it will.  They will certainly need more "enduring" bases if they decide to take on Iran and Syria.  Washington has walled off a heavily fortified area in the center of Baghdad containing the Republican Palace, the center of government in Iraq, the symbol of Iraq sovereignty.  The Green Zone covers several miles.  It is a fortified city within a city in which few Iraqi's are allowed. We are building the largest US Embassy in the world there that will employ over 1,500 people and cost between 600 million and 1 billion dollars.  The mission in Moscow employs approximately 350 people, in Tokyo, 250 people.         

    Donald Rumsfeld said there was no intelligence to indicate the degree of resistance that US forces are facing.  No intelligence to indicate that a Christian Army from a Christian nation sent by a born-again Christian president and Christian (and very heavily Jewish influenced) Congress, (where the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee is rated the second most powerful lobby in the country, just behind AARP), no intelligence that they might run into resistance invading and occupying a Muslim country in the Middle East?  No evidence that the one nation who has provided unwavering, unthinking and unending support of the Jews and the racist expansionism of Zionism might not be welcomed as an occupying power in the heart of Islam?  There is no evidence Rumsfeld and company have studied history or humanity.   

    And the War in Iraq is a Christmas present to Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda and the recruiters of the various radical Muslim groups in Kashmir, Chechnya, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Eritrea, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Egypt, Bosnia, western China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Macedonia, Kosovo, and the Philippines.     

    We are not winning the war in Iraq and it may not be winnable. The government admits the war for the hearts and minds in Iraq is probably lost. A series of new U.S. intelligence assessments on Iraq paints a grim picture of the road ahead.   In April of 2004 police in Fallujah abandoned their posts and turned over the city to the insurgents and as many as 10% assisted the insurgents and some even fought with them against US troops.  The insurgents held the town until November when a U.S. military assault retook the city.  In August of 2004, police abandoned their posts in Baghdad's Sadr City and Najaf radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr began an uprising.  In November 04, over 3,000 police in Mosul deserted when rebel attacked.  This was repeated in surrounding towns.  An Iraqi army battalion dissolved rather than fight.   On the morning of the inauguration Dick Cheney told Don Imus that "we can bring out boys home" and "our mission is completed" "when the Iraqis can defend themselves."  It's going to be a long war.  Condelezza Rice told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee there were 120,000 fully trained Iraqi troops, This later turned out to be not quite true.  We've danced this dance before.   In August of 05 the insurgents are the government in Haditha. 

    In January of 2005 General George Casey, the top US commander, said US forces had killed or captured about 15,000 Iraqi insurgents in 2004.  Previous US estimates had said there were 6,000 to 9,000 insurgents. General Casey declined to provide new estimates.  Iraqi intelligence service director General Mohamed Abdullah Shahwani just before the Iraqi January 2005 elections said he believed we are facing more insurgents than there are US troops in Iraq.  The Iraqi General's estimate was 40,000 full time fighters and 200,000 part time fighters.  The old rule of counter-insurgency war is that you need a minimum of 10 to 1 to defeat and insurgency and sometimes 15 to 1.  Good troops.  Not those heavily infiltrated with enemy spies as many Iraqi units are thought to be.  In the destruction of the city of Fallujah  (Fallujah 2), a city of 300,000 known to the Muslims as the City of Mosques we probably created more insurgents than we killed.  It is Vietnam all over again.  And it has thickened around us quickly.  We are only three years into the war at this writing.  Will this war last as long as Vietnam did?  That is very, very possible.     

    The total border area of Iraq is 3,650 km, over 2,000 miles: Border with Iran 1,458 km, with Syria 605 km, Saudi Arabia 814 km, Jordan 181 km, Kuwait 240 km, Turkey 352 km.  That is like wrapping the entire Ho Chi Minh Trail from the Vietnam War around the country and trying to interdict people and supplies coming in.  Robert Hutchings, director of the Central Intelligence Agency's National Intelligence Council, the research arm of the US intelligence community, said Iraq has already become "a magnet for international terrorist activity" as well as a recruiting and training ground.  And they sometimes come from unlikely backgrounds far away.  French Teens  Iraq has now become what the United States Government said they would prevent: A training ground for terrorists.  And it will get worse.

    Washington says the War in Iraq is for freedom and democracy.  Yet the Jew's killing machine Mossad has reportedly assassinated over 300 Iraqi scientists who might be a threat to Israel.  Jews Assassinate Iraqi Scientists  Abdel Raoof al-Raidi, an ambassador and assistant foreign minister told a conference in Cairo “There is a joint American and Israeli plan to kill as many Iraqi scientists as possible.  The US Administration has imprisoned many Iraqi scientists in isolated areas." The Al-Ahram Studies Centre in Cairo estimated that nearly 17,000 Iraqi scientists have fled the country since the invasion.  What has freedom and democracy done for these scientists, their spouses, their children?  

      Freedom and Democracy.  Let us look at some of the orders put into effect by Paul Bremer before he left his position.  Order # 39 allows: (1) privatization of Iraq's 200 state-owned enterprises; (2) 100 percent foreign ownership of Iraqi businesses; (3) "national treatment" of American and foreign firms; (4) unrestricted, tax-free remittance of all profits and other funds; and (5) 40-year ownership licenses. It allows the U.S. corporations involved in reconstruction in Iraq to own every business, do all of the work, and send all of their money home. They do not have to reinvest locally to service the Iraqi economy, they do not have to hire Iraqi's, no public services need be guaranteed, and workers' rights can easily be ignored. Corporations can take out their investments at any time.  Order # 17 grants foreign contractors, including private security firms, (there are an estimated 20,000  mercenaries in Iraq) full immunity from Iraq 's laws. Even if they do injure a third party by killing or maiming someone or causing environmental damage such as toxic chemical dumping or polluting drinking water, the injured third party can not turn to the Iraqi legal system, rather, the charges must be brought in U.S. courts under U.S. laws which many Americans can't afford.  

    At least Dick Cheny's old company, Haliburton, is making money.  Sometimes at taxpayer expense.  About $48.7 billion in contracts has been awarded at this writing.  Much of it no bid.  Of course there may be some resentment from Iraqi's that so many foreigners are making money while so many of them are unemployed.  And of course some of the money just disappears.  9 Billion missing  U.S. contractors say that up to one out of every three reconstruction dollars earmarked for rebuilding is now going toward security costs due to the insurgency.

    These wars will be fought will all the weapons at our disposal including disinformation to our own people and our own terror units. In 2001 a Pentagon war planner, who spoke anonymously, told a reporter from the Washington Post, ``This is the most information-intensive war you can imagine. We're going to lie about things.''  The government opened an office who's mission included planting false news stories in the international media. Public scrutiny led to the closing of the office in 2002.  In September 04 the government combined information operations, psychological operations and public affairs operations in Iraq into a single strategic communications office run by an Air Force brigadier general who reports directly to Gen. George Casey, the American commander.  There is disinformation aplenty.  The Enemy is Us.  Then there are out own terrorist units.  Gladio-our own terrorist units 

       The true cost of Iraq cannot even be estimated at present.  Certainly 500 Billion at least.  And what will become of those of our soldiers who have been exposed to Depleted Uranium?  Will it be the same as it was with Gulf War Syndrome in the first Gulf War, Agent Orange in Vietnam and the testing of nuclear weapons on US troops during the cold war?  Will the government tell them it's all in their head?  Or that they don't really know what is causing their medical problems.  Long after the War in Iraq is over Depleted Uranium will still be inflicting its death and crippling birth defects; soaking into the drinking water, taken up by plants and animals to enter the food chain, absorbed into the bodies of Iraqi's and their children and brought home in the bones of our soldiers.  From time to time each of us may see the results of this war in the supermarket.  Children without arms.  Children with disfigured heads.  Children who will never see their senior prom.  Will we have to someday pay restitution for the effects of this radioactive weapon, this Weapon of Mass Destruction on human beings?  At least as far as our own soldiers and their children are concerned?  Some of our soldiers are already paying.  With their lives.  And the children of Depleted Uranium will pay too, for the rest of their lives.   

    Some have called the war in Iraq an imperial misadventure.  What it is, is a crime.
