Drivers if you plan to head in to DC here is something you need to be aware of you are going to get corralled at DC Stadium and charged up to $100.00 for parking once you are in the stadium lot your not going to get out. Till you pay. This is what happened last time. I’m a DC Native and a Trucker. We need to band together and plan entrance routes that don’t have truck restrictions. Also much of the DC Area around the monuments is federal property enforced by the National Park Service, Secret Service, The Capitol Police & FPS Federal Protective Service. This means no guns drugs or weed. If you get arrested it’s Federal you will be made an example. Central Cell Block is not pretty or fun. Rock Creek Parkway is a maze of low underpasses with truck restrictions. The area around the Whitehouse and the Capital are off limits to trucks that don’t have deliveries in those areas. Their are many routes in to the city that don’t have truck restrictions. We need to have a plan in place where groups divide and come in from all directions.
We need to assign group leaders meet up strategize pass out maps and plan our entrances. PM me I’ll be glad to help coordinate. Let’s not turn this in to a shit show. Our success rides on this along with how we are perceived by the public and media. Don’t get in town and embarrass yourself or the industry.

Canada is doomed. Parliament was set to vote on emergency powers (war measures) act tonight. Trudeau knew he didn’t have the votes, with NDP and even some liberals voting against it. So he switched it to a no-confidence vote, which basically would force him to resign and puts that party’s seats up for election. Since they didn’t want an election and would likely be expelled from the party, the ‘no’ votes on the emergency measures switched to ‘yes’ because the two were tied together. The act remains in place. They will now crush all opposition by freezing and seizing assets with zero oversight. And America sleeps.

Yes. It is panic garbage. It is standard operating procedure to open and close lanes to direct traffic on the bay bridge for maintenance and traffic control. Especially in the summer months when the two spans are utilized to push beach traffic coming and going from the eastern shore.

I think they would be better off striking, or doing a lot of smaller localized protests that everyone can support. Like....we have truckers who live around here. A LOT of them. They could do smaller, disruptive convoys locally, where they already have their support networks.

I felt surprised as well, but talking to people who are in DC now working you almost can’t get in to DC proper now. They never took down fences they put up after Jan 6 & most government offices have no one working in them it’s almost like a ghost town & even with that they keep blocking off road ways around the capital, White House etc. So hearing that thinking it may not be of any use to try & make DC look like Ottawa it may be a waste of time & resources. I’m not an organizer or know their reasoning for sure but just offering what my co-workers who are physically in DC have been telling me. Some days if they decide to go to the office to work & not work remotely they may have to park blocks away from their own building & they sometimes won’t let the office supply delivery folks pull in.

I'd have to agree. I'm in northern NY and live off grid, homeschool, 75 self sufficient and we still feel the effects here...but the vast majority of those who do, it's painful to listen to their stories. VA just made masking kids illegal! I think focusing on the harder states makes total sense.

I said the same thing from the very beginning, but was told they are going to every state out of "solidarity". Doesn't make sense to waste time and resources on states like Florida. I agree. Boycott all the big box China stores like Walmart, target etc. Take vacation days from work. Just remember, the local mom & pop stores need your patronage to stay afloat. If not allowed please take down,no disrespect taken....my view. Those that are able are going to make the run and those along the way will be joining up. If you can't it's understandable and respected..if you're scared, it's understood..I haven't seen anyone ask for those who need to work to stop..hell they need those at the stops,so you are helping..those that are seen on the routes and showing support are helping. Your prayers for them help..those that just want to park for whatever time you can helps.all are watching what is going on in other countries and taking notes,but need to focus on the states and what they are going into.. weather,the financial,loved ones.etc.. if you want to help, check the pinned posts at the top and find your area,talk to folks there or message those areas..talk to local truckers that you know..go to a fuel stop and pay for gas food or bring stuff they might need...think if you were going camping for awhile and what you might need...this is to be peaceful and respectful to all. Be safe, meet new friends and enjoy the trip. Expect delays and problems but believe in what this country stands for and what we want to leave for our kids and family to come
