Amy Grant
By David J. Stewart
Ephesians 4:19, “Who
being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to
work all uncleanness with greediness.”
I don't condemn anyone, for the Bible condemns all of us as guilty, dirty,
rotten, hell-deserving sinners. My salvation solely rests in Christ's
righteousness, because of the precious blood that He gave for our sins. My
intention is not to be unkind; but rather, to expose the demonic nature of
so-called "Christian rock," and also to expose Amy Grant as a bad influence
for Christian teenagers to follow.
Don't take my word for it, listen to Amy's apostate statements from herself. Amy states . . .
“CHRISTIANS CAN BE SEXY. What I’m doing is a good thing” (Amy Grant, interview, People,
July 15, 1991).
CHECK THIS OUT!!! This
goes contrary to 1st Timothy 2:9 which instructs Christian ladies to dress
in "modest apparel." The
issue is not about the performers personally; but rather, about the worldly
music they claim to sing in Jesus' name and the kind of role models they are
for teens.
Of
course Christians get upset when Amy openly admits dressing sexy to sell an
album...
“I’M TRYING TO LOOK SEXY to
sell a record...” (Rolling Stone, June 6,
1985, p. 10).
What do you expect? This is NOT condemning Amy, but simply discerning
whether or not she's the type of role model America's youth should have. The
following information is about Amy's music and public image. Amy is pulling
on the same rope that the Devil is pulling on.
“St. John's University gave its highest award to
rock star Amy Grant [in 1994] ... She is the third woman to receive the Pax
Christi award, often called a a jewel in the crown of the Roman Catholic
Church. Pax Christi is the radical International Catholic Peace Movement.
Grant, a charismatic [yes, she has received her 'prayer language' and speaks
in tongues], was called 'a
contemporary Christian role model for today's generation' and praised for
the 'Christian values' in her life and music career.

19, No. 11, Pg. 82)
I hate exposing people. God knows my heart. I don't think it's fun; but
someone needs to stand up for God and say, "Wait a minute! This is not
Christian! This is not ok because the Bible says so. Although some people
criticize Amt Grant for personal mistakes I DON'T. I only focus on her music
and apostate influence on tens-of-millions of fans, leading them into the
ecumenical movement. Grant's music is excellent from a secular point of
view. Albeit, she is without question a part of Satan's New World Order... a
team player, going along to get along with the sinful world.
Amy Lee Grant
(born November 25, 1960) is an American singer-songwriter, musician,
author, media personality and actress, best known for her Christian
music. She has been referred to as "The Queen of Christian Pop". As of
2009, Grant remains the best-selling contemporary Christian music singer
ever, having sold over 30 million units worldwide.
Grant made her debut as a teenager, and gained fame in Christian music
during the 1980s with such hits as "Father's Eyes," "El Shaddai", and
"Angels". In 1986, she scored her first number one charting Billboard
Hot 100 hit song in a duet with Peter Cetera The Next Time I Fall.
During the 1980s and 1990s, she became one of the first gospel artists
to cross over into mainstream pop on the heels of her successful albums
Unguarded and Heart in Motion, the latter of which included the
number-one single "Baby Baby."
Grant has won six Grammy Awards, 25 Gospel Music Association Dove
Awards, and had the first Christian album ever to go Platinum.[1] Heart
in Motion is her highest selling album, with over five million copies
sold in the United States alone. She was honored with a star on
Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005 for her contributions to the
entertainment industry.

Amy Grant is not just someone who made some
dumb mistakes and choices in her life; but rather, she represents an entire
wicked industry that exploits music and the name of Jesus to make filthy
lucre. Moreover, they are leading young people away from Biblical truth and
into apostasy. The industry is owned and controlled by the occult, clearly
evidenced by all the occult symbolism on CCM album covers. Contemporary
Christian Music (CCM) bridges a gap between God and the world. James 4:4
warns that any friendship with the world is enmity with God. CCM is so vague
that it is readily accepted by the secular world without hesitation. Amy
Grant sold her soul to the Devil decades ago in exchange for the good life.
You cannot serve God and mammon (wealth).
Matthew 6:24, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the
one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the
other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Hollywood didn't give Amy Grant
a Walk Of Fame Star for serving God. Satan owns and controls Hollywood. If
you are friends with the world, then you are God's enemy. The Bible calls
money “filthy” for a reason. It changes people. There's just something about
money that one you have it, it has you.
Amy Grant Promotes Billy Graham
(Billy Balaam)
The music industry itself is corrupt, owned and controlled by occultists.
This is blatantly obvious by the preponderance of occult images and
symbolism on CCM album artwork. I'd expect New World Order (NWO)
imagery on a Pink Floyd album,
but it also saturates Contemporary Christian
Music (CCM) as well. Some people call CCM, Christ Centered Music,
but they're just piggy-backing on the popular term. CCM is a corrupted
industry controlled by the god of this world. You don't get to be world
famous like Amy Grant unless you please the god of this world, who is Satan
according to 2nd Corinthians 4:4. Amy is older now and more conservative,
but all her works of darkness are still being sold.
It's just like Dave Mustang of
MEGADETH, who claims that he became a born-again Christian in 2001.
He says he won't sing certain demon-invoking songs anymore, but his albums
are still top sellers worldwide and Mustang doesn't seem to have a problem
with that. Truly the love of money is the root of all evil (1st Timothy
6:10). 2nd Timothy 3:12 says that Christians who live godly in Christ Jesus
shall suffer persecution. Jesus said in John 15:19 that the world would hate
us, as it does Him. Amy is loved worldwide by hundreds-of-millions of
people. She had her name engraved on a star in Hollywood's Walk of Fame.
Amy, Amy, Amy... the heathen world loves Amy. She has a public image of a
pot-smoking, beer-drinking, sensual little brat who's now older and wiser
and leading her fans into Billy Graham's (Balaam's) ecumenical movement
(World Religion).
CCM is of the Devil. Amy Grant has
led hundreds-of-millions of people into apostasy, away from God and into the
world...
“I’M TRYING TO LOOK SEXY to sell a record...” (Rolling Stone, June 6,
1985, p. 10).[1]
Grant said in 1985 that she was dressing sexy to
sell a record, and she certainly has sold many records. Amy has sold out for
Satan. Grant appeared on the
apostate Billy Graham TV
show and said she gave her life to Jesus; but if there was any truth to
her claim, then she would care about lost souls. What a phony! Amy is
honored by evil Hollywood, receiving her star on the infamous Hollywood Walk of Fame
in 2005, and has appeared on the worldly Jay Leno Show that mocks God and
glorifies sin and sinners. Amy is the best of both world's it seems; but who
is she really serving? The Bible says you cannot serve God and mammon
(wealth). Amy has chosen wealth and that's why she brags about drinking
beer, smoking pot, dressing sexy, and not giving a hoot if anybody gets
saved at her thousands of concerts.
Like
so many other, Amy is like a chameleon that changes its color to adapt to
the environment. At Billy Graham events, Amy talks about Jesus; but in
concert she flashes the
El
Diablo, “I love Satan” sign (pictured to right), while receiving the
worship of tens-of-thousands of screaming fans... AMY, AMY, AMY!!!
Ronnie James Dio
(1942-2010) made the exact same hand-sign in all his Satan-worshipping
concerts.
Amy may fool the unsaved masses who are blinded by the god of this
sinful world, Satan (2nd Corinthians 4:4); but she's not fooling born-again,
Bible-believing, God-fearing Christians!!! Modesty doesn't matter to Amy.
Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ doesn't matter to Amy. It's all about the
money.
As of 2009, Grant
remains the best-selling Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) singer ever,
having sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Yet, Bible-believing,
born-again, fundamentalist Christians are eerily silent concerning this
religious whore in the limelight, whose corrupting the world's churches,
leading her fans to follow
Billy Graham (Billy Balaam). Amy's on top of the world. She
was honored with a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005 for her
contributions to the entertainment industry. Yet she doesn't share the
gospel of Jesus Christ with all her fans, letting them go to Hell for all
eternity without Christ. Why, oh why?
Tragically, Amy Grant's music is so vague,
wishy-washy, and doctrinally deficient that Roman Catholics support her.
ROMAN CATHOLICS SUPPORT HER!!! That speaks volumes about how ecumenical
and apostate Amy really is!!! Amy
Grant was interviewed[2]
by Catholic.org (the world's largest Catholic network) on July 22, 2010 by
Billy Atwell. The
Catholic religion is straight out of the pits of Hell beneath. Amy has a
habit of denouncing her responsibilities as a professed Christian
believer...
“I'm a singer, not a preacher,
I'm not looking to convert anybody” says Christian rock diva Amy Grant.
(Los Angeles Times, 5/4/84, pg. 2-c) Grant goes on to demonstrate her
spirituality by saying, “I'm not going to say too often
that I like a cold beer while watching a football game. That might
bother some of my fans.” (Greensville News, 5/4/94) [emphasis added]
Amy says, “I'm not looking to convert anybody.” As
Christians, we should all be trying to get souls saved. Proverb 11:30,
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is
wise.” Certainly, God does the saving and not us (1st Corinthians
3:6-8); but we are supposed to be labourers together with the Lord, trying
to bring souls to Jesus Christ to be saved. 1st Corinthians 3:9, “For we
are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's
building.”
Amy Grant has made
hundreds-of-millions of dollars throughout her musical career,
professing to be a Christian, singing worldly music in the name of Jesus; but she has not
glorified God when she neglects to use her massive public influence to share
the gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost. Daniel 5:23, “...the God in
whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not
glorified.”
Amy Grant professes to be a Christian, and I am not one to
judge whether she is or not; but when any so-called Christian celebrity is
honored by Hollywood and is praised by unsaved Catholics and is popular with
the sinful world, something is very wrong. 2nd Timothy 3:12 says that
believers who live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. When you
stand up for Jesus and carry a Bible, the world will forsake you
immediately (John 15:19). Amy Grant is so worldly, immodest, sensual, and
carnally-minded that the heathen world loves her. That is NOT Biblical
Christianity! Luke 8:15 teaches that every believer ought to try to win souls to
Christ. 2nd Timothy 3:1-5 warned us about religious fakes who would have “a
form of godliness, but denying the power thereof” of the gospel of Jesus
Christ (Romans 1:16). Amy's life and music is devoid of genuine Biblical
Christianity. I say this, not to be unkind, but to take a stand for God.
CCM is dangerous because the singers are all affiliated with apostate
ecumenical ministers. CCM music is not sinful because they use electric
instruments, not at all; it is because they're all leading their fans into
the apostate Ecumenical
Movement.
Amy Grant's Twisted and Perverted View On the
Scriptures
Amy Grant would falsely lead everyone to believe that it is unbiblical to
say anything about her worldliness. While Amy's boasting that she drinks
beer, smokes pot, doesn't care if she gets anyone saved, and says she
dresses sensual (sexual) to sell a record, her critics are supposed to just
turn a blind eye and ignore her influence over tens-of-millions of fans
worldwide. Amy Grant has massive influence over countless tens if not
hundreds-of-millions of people worldwide...
After more than 20 years in the
music business, singer/songwriter Amy Grant is
recognized as one of the most successful
performers in Christian music, and for that, her
stature has risen to mythic proportions—the
heroine of the genre. The Good Lord willing, if
anything favorable came from Christian music,
Amy Grant probably had something to do with it.
And if something favorable needed to happen,
attach Amy Grant’s name to it and watch the
magic transpire.
She
is Christian music’s own Wizard of Oz.

Amy Grant... “if anything favorable came from Christian music, Amy Grant
probably had something to do with it?” Maybe the author of this
bogus article (Gregory Rumburg) is smoking weed too? What could be more
favorable from so-called Christian music than leading sinners to Jesus
Christ to be saved? Yet, Grant openly admits that she's never tried to
convert anyone, because she's a singer and not a preacher...
“I'm a singer, not a preacher,
I'm not looking to convert anybody” says Christian rock diva
Amy Grant. (Los Angeles Times, 5/4/84, pg. 2-c)
Not one Verse in the entire Bible teaches that only preachers or
full-time Christian workers are supposed to share the gospel message. Every
believer has been given the responsibility to share the gospel with the
lost.
Romans 10:13-15, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the
Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have
not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not
heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they
preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the
feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of
good things!”
How shall they believe if they don't hear? How shall they hear without a
preacher (a witness)? The preceding Scripture passage in Romans 10:13-15
mandates that every born-again believer become a preacher of the gospel.
This has nothing to do with a position of authority as pastor of a church.
We're not talking about that here. We're talking about a literal Hell that
burns with fire and brimstone where every unbeliever who dies in their sins
will be tormented for all eternity. We're talking about caring about the
souls of others. Moreover, we're talking about obeying the Word of God. God
commands believers to go soul-winning.
Proverbs 11:30 says he that winneth souls is wise. The
opposite of being wise is foolish. Amy Grant is a fool. She stands before
hundreds-of-millions of people; yet never speaks a word about the coming
judgment upon sinners, a real Hell that burns with fire, nor does she
present the gospel of peace. The gospel brings peace between God and men,
through the blood of Jesus Christ. The gospel is the death, burial and
resurrection of Jesus Christ (1st Corinthians 15:1-4).
As with all other apostate Contemporary Christian Music (CCM)
artists, Amy Grant fails to make good use of
her website to warn her fans of the judgment to come in hellfire.
Where's the gospel??? It's no where to be found in Amy's worldly career. I
don't know of any CCM artist that presents the gospel (and if they did it
would be to a Lordship Salvation minister that teaches damnable heresy and a
false gospel like Ray Comfort). All I see at Amygrant.com is Amy, Amy,
Amy!!! It's all about Amy's worldly image. Hollywood loves Amy. The world
loves Amy. Worldly fans love Amy. It's only God-fearing Christians who have
a problem with Amy's hypocrisy. Grant's personal life is not the primary
issue; but rather, her worldly associations and influence upon
tens-of-millions of fans, leading them into the
ecumenical movement. The
CCM industry as a whole embraces the
demonic cult of Roman Catholicism!!!
Or perhaps Amy Grant doesn't believe in a literal Hell.
The following quote is from Amy Grant, which confuses many of her fans
who consequently fail to see the difference between condemning someone
verses taking a stand for God...“ ”
"I guess I would say, judgment is
usually exercised from a distance, but in more than one instance the
thing that has brought about change [in people] is compassion. Jesus led
by compassion. No one is ever changed because of judgment. No one’s ever
healed through judgment." ...
Grant continues, "It
doesn’t make one person more holy to point out the sin of another
person. I just think there are so many stigmas in our society that we as
believers feel become some dividing line: divorce, homosexuality, you
know, just any kind of thing that [I believe] the Bible is so clear on
the fact that God hates these things. We say, ‘Well, hey, I’m gonna side
with God and be mad at all these people.’ But rather than stand back and
judge, God made the ultimate sacrifice by saying, ‘In spite of the
sinfulness of the world, I’m gonna send my Son down there to rescue
everybody in the midst of their sin.’ How that differs from judgment is
that God removed the distance. God closed the gap."

Grant has a perverted view of the Bible. Clearly Amy Grant is confused
theologically. Grant admits that God hates the sins of divorce and
homosexuality. She is also aware of God's redeeming love that sent Jesus
Christ to Calvary to pay for our sins. Grant theorizes that instead of
siding with God's wrath against sin, Christians today should focus on the
cross, expressing only love for those who openly defy God's Law and
shamelessly indulge in worldliness. THE TRUTH is that Christians should
express BOTH. We should stand firm against evil in all its forms, and yet do
so in a loving manner, eager to forgive and share the gospel with everyone.
For hardcore sinners who refuse to repent, such as the homosexual
community with their same-sex marriages, and the abortion industry, there is
no tolerance. As Christians, we are supposed to love all people, but not
closely associate with them who are given to evil, nor marry them, nor yoke
together with unbelievers of any sort (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17). God hates
evil and commands us to hate evil too (Psalm 97:10). You cannot hate evil
and remain silent in the presence of evil. Ephesians 5:11 commands us to
refute (expose) all works of darkness, not fellowship with it. Amy Grant
fellowships with the sinful world. She looks, sings and behaves like the
sinful world. Songs like Baby, Baby are worldly and shameful.
Amy Grant is a spoiled brat, who attempts to straddle-the-fence between
God and the world. James 4:4 calls Grant the enemy of God. She cannot see
the forest for the trees, so engrossed in her worldly lifestyle that she
views Christianity from an apostate point of view. From a truly Biblical
perspective, Amy Grant needs to repent and find God. Grant rationalizes that
there's good in the worst of us, and bad in the best of us. That is correct,
but there's a world of difference between taking a Biblical stand against
worldliness, verses condemning someone just because you hate them. I hate no
one. God knows my heart. I only hate what God hates, sin and evil.
Wicked people allege that it is always hatred to take a stand against
anybody who is wicked. They don't mind if you attack the righteous who have
sinned. Then it's ok with them. The world still hasn't stopped talking about
Jim Bakker and Jimmy Swaggart; but never a word is spoken about Gene
Simmons' 5,000 fornications (which the founder of the band KISS,
openly and arrogantly professes). The wicked receive their own as Jesus said
(John 15:19). The sinful world receives Amy Grant, because she is worldly
and hides her light for Jesus (if she even has a light).
Although Amy is correct that no one should point out other people's sins
on a personal level, she is totally wrong that sin should never be pointed
out when taking a stand for God. Amy admits that God absolutely hates sin
and tells us in the Bible that he hates it. But according to Grant, since
Jesus paid the price for our sins, we should all be silent about the
activities of the wicked in our community. If they want to sin, let them and
love them while they are doing it...
We say, ‘Well, hey, I’m
gonna side with God and be mad at all these people.’ But rather than
stand back and judge, God made the ultimate sacrifice by saying, ‘In
spite of the sinfulness of the world, I’m gonna send my Son down there
to rescue everybody in the midst of their sin.’ How that differs from
judgment is that God removed the distance. God closed the gap."

My question to Amy Grant is... when is a Christian supposed to take a
stand for God? Never? Should we just allow homosexuals at GLSEN to
teach our children gay fist-sex in
class? Should we remain silent while abortionists are
incrementally moving the
murder point closer and closer to birth, partial-birth abortions, and
even infanticide after the child is born? Grant boasts of dressing sexy to
sell an album, totally disregarding God's commandment in 1st Timothy 2:9 for
women to dress in modest apparel.
In Romans 10:15 God calls the “feet” of soul-winners beautiful. Do you
know why God called the “feet” beautiful instead of the lips, tongue or
mouth? It's because Amy Grant's beautiful voice is worthless since it
doesn't share the gospel with any of her fans. Let them all go to Hell,
you've got rich off their money, who cares! Boy, Amy really loves her fans
doesn't she... letting them all go to Hell in unbelief. Do you think God
will one day say to Amy Grant, “Well done thou good and faithful servant on
judgment day.” Do you think God will say, “Just like Hollywood, I'm proud of
you Amy!” I think not. I think Amy will face the terror of the Lord
(2nd Corinthians 5:9-11).
I don't care who you are... every life tells a story. Is yours worth
reading in Heaven? Sesame Street used to have a little episode
called, "This Was Your Life." That's exactly what we're all going to
face in Heaven on judgment day before God. All of the good will come out.
All of the bad will come out. What did we do for God? What did we do to get
people saved? What did we do in Jesus' name to help others? Charity is
splendid, but what does it profit a man if you feed and cloth him back to
health and then allow that soul to perish into Hell for all eternity??? No
meal should ever be served without a gospel presentation. No charity should
ever be given to any organization that does not focus primarily on preaching
the gospel. To Hell with Feed The
Children and other scam charities.
Amy Grant is wrong. Just because Jesus closed the gap between sinners and
God through the cross, does NOT mean that we should remain silent concerning
the evils afflicting our children and society today. Religious Rock music
industry is of the Devil, leading our churches into apostasy and
destruction. The average church today has deteriorated into an entertainment
center of sycophantic
worshippers and apostasy.
Is Amy Being Unjustly Criticized?
I like some of the lyrics from one of Amy's recent albums, “SOMEWHERE
DOWN THE ROAD.” The song is titled, “FIND WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR”
...
FIND WHAT
YOU'RE LOOKING FOR
Cuz there's so much
good in the worst of us, so much bad in the best of us
Never makes sense for any of us, to
criticize the rest of us
We'll just find what we're looking for
Find what we're looking for
Haven't we all learned the best life lesson,
I've fallen, fallen down hard
If we're looking for somebody's failures,
won't have to put back a fight
It is certainly true that there's good even in the worst of sinners, and
so much bad even in the best of Christians. However, it's easy to get
confused when Amy says it doesn't make sense to criticize the rest of us.
There's a difference between condemning someone for personal sins verses
exposing them as a bad influence on society. Amy's personal life is no one's
business. She admits she's made some mistakes throughout her life, as we all
have if we're honest with ourselves and God. Romans 3:23 says, "For
all have sinned..." I am the biggest sinner I know (and so are you
if you're right with God). James 2:10 teaches that one sin makes us guilty
of all in God's eyes. In other words, everyone is a sinner and needs to get
saved or they'll go to burn in Hell forever (Revelation 20:15). Thankfully,
Jesus paid our sin debt (John 3:16).
Evidently Amy Grant's philosophy is not to criticize anyone. That's what
she's singing. I don't expose Amy for her personal life. My concern is that
she has an influence over hundreds-of-millions of people and she's leading
them into the ecumenical movement (World Religion). Contemporary
Christian Music (CCM) is part of the occult music
INDUSTRY. As you will learn in the biographical information below, Amy's
music crosses over into the secular world as much as the apostate Christian
world. She's being criticized for a good reason, that is, she's of the
world. Jesus said the world will love their own (John 15:19).
I hate the sinful world (but I love people). The Bible tells us in 1st
John 2:15-17 not to love the things that are in the world (the lusts and
pride of life), because it's all going to pass away soon. The glory and
wealth of this life stops at the grave. Our bodies are made of the dust of
the earth, and will return to the ground beneath our feet. Ecclesiastes 12:7
says that our spirit will return to God. Hebrews 10:31 says it's a fearful
thing to fall into the hands of the living God. I'm so glad that I've been
born-again by faith in Christ Jesus Who died, was buried and rose again for
my sins.
Amy Grant sings some awesome music, there's no debating that. As a
musician myself, I like all kinds of music; but I choose not to listen to
all of it because God doesn't want me to. I play pedal steel guitar, so I'm
a big John Hughey (1933-2007) fan. John Hughey played pedal steel guitar on
Vince Gill's recordings. I was in St. Louis in 1996 when John was inducted
into the Steel Guitar Hall Of Fame. I was 25-feet away from Vince
Gill, who sang "LOOK AT US" while John played steel guitar. It was really
nice. This was before Vince was married to Amy Grant. I recently played
steel guitar back-up along with a Marshall Family song on YouTube titled,
THEN CAME JESUS
(download
MP3).
I hate exposing
Ray Comfort as a false prophet, but he is. I hate exposing
President
Barack Obama as a traitor and anti-American globalist, but he is. I just
exposed Dave Mustaine of MEGADETH.
He claims he was born-again in 2001, yet he's still promoting his demonic
heavy-metal music to hundreds-of-millions of youth worldwide. Mustaine's
latest album is titled "Th1rt3en" (an occult number). Whether Dave Mustaine
is truly saved or not I can't determine (but I seriously doubt it, as I
explain why in the article). Albeit, he needs to be exposed as being of the
Devil for singing and promoting satanic Rock music. God is not into
screeching guitars, head banging (Mustaine needed neck surgery because of
it) and
Satanic hand-signs. A MEGADETH concert looks like a
Ronnie James Dio concert.
They're all of the Devil.
Although Amy Grant isn't a head-banging Rocker, she's a part of the same
occult controlled music INDUSTRY. The New
World Order (NWO) is here, and it's symbols are everywhere, including on
CCM albums.
Amy Grant Back in 1985. Amy sold
her soul for fame and fortune. That's
a
Satanic hand sign.
I know it's an old picture, but that one photo speaks 1,000 words. It
truly does! To understand the significance of that single photo of Amy,
please watch this 12-minute YouTube video titled,
SIGNS OF SATAN which I
made.
Amy's career has lived up to that "I love Satan" sign she flashed back in
1985 in concert. Grant's lyrics are wishy-washy when it comes to any real
gospel message to her tens-of-millions of fans. Roman Catholics feel right
at home with Amy Grant's music. I can't help but wonder if she even believes
that a literal Hell exists where lost sinners will spend eternity. There is
plenty of reasons to justly criticize Amy's Gospeless career. She's famous
for singing worldly songs like BABY! BABY! What about the things of
Jesus Christ? Like most CCM artists, Amy hides her gospel from the lost.
2nd Crinthians 4:3, “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are
lost.” What will Amy tell God on judgment day when He asks her how many
people she tried to reach with her fame and fortune? If she's saved at all,
it will be saved yet so as by fire (1st
Corinthians 3:15).
Amy Grant is a bad influence on youth, then and now today. She is leading
people into a mumbo-jumbo, feel sorry for yourself music, deadbeat life
without conviction or zeal for the things of God. God calls the feet of the
soul-winner “beautiful” in Romans 10:15. Do you know why God said feet
instead of lips, tongue or mouth? It's because the most wonderful voice in
the world is totally useless if it has lazy feet. Eloquent speech is no good
if it has no feet to carry the gospel to the lost. Amy Grant has a gift from
God to sing, but she has spiritual gout in her feet. What good is her 51
albums if she has never won a single soul to Jesus Christ, saved from the
fires of damnation in the Lake of Fire?
No wonder Jesus said that every man must choose between mammon (wealth)
and serving God. Amy has chosen wealth. I have chosen to serve the Lord
(Joshua 25:15).
There is no doubt that we are living in the Last Days and approaching the
End Times. The world cannot continue this way. We are quickly going into a
Godless Global Totalitarian Communist Police State. China's oppressive
government is already being implemented here in America. TSA is molesting
passengers at the airport. The Bill of Rights is violated thousands of times
every day all across America.
Hollywood honored her with a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame. Something
is very wrong with a professed Christian who gets honored by Hollywood.

SENSUAL MUSIC AND LIFESTYLE
Amy Grant’s life and music have been marked by
sensuality and pop psychology rather than true holiness and biblical truth.
Her 1997 album, Behind the Eyes, made no mention of God or Jesus Christ
and had no explicitly Christian lyrics. She told secular entertainment
distributor IMusic that the song "Like I Love You" is actually about loving
oneself!
Articles about Amy Grant in the secular
media invariably reveal that she is loved not for her Christian message but
for her sensuality. People magazine noticed Amy’s lack of holiness in
the performance of the video for the song "Baby, Baby." "There’s saintly Amy
cuddling some hunky guy, crooning ‘Baby, Baby’ into his ear and looking pretty
SLEEK AND SINFUL…" (People, July 15, 1991 p. 71). Amy Grant admits that
"I’M TRYING TO LOOK SEXY to sell a record..." (Rolling Stone, June 6,
1985, p. 10). When asked about the controversy surrounding this video, Amy
replied: "The whole thing just seemed very boring to me. Besides, shooting the
video was a blast. IT'S FUN TO FLIRT if you’re a happily-married woman"
(Woman's Day, Dec. 22, 1992, p. 35).
The Bible says that sexual flirting,
immodest attire, and such things are basically the same as adultery. When Amy
Grant dresses sensually and dances sensually in her performances, she is
committing adultery with her audience. Such action does not contribute to a
healthy marriage. Further, it is obvious now that Amy was NOT necessarily a
happily-married woman when she spoke to Woman's Day magazine in 1992.
UNSCRIPTURAL PHILOSOPHY
Amy Grant’s unscriptural philosophy is
evident in the following statements she and her associates have made to the
press:
"It seems to me that
PEOPLE WHO ARE MOST ADAMANTLY AGAINST PREMARITAL SEX HAVE EXPERIENCED SOME
KIND OF PAIN IN THEIR OWN LIVES. Like the people who say absolutely NO to rock
& roll. Chances are it has something to do with a past sadness…" (Amy Grant,
interview, Ladies Home Journal, December 1985, p. 210).
"I’m a singer, not a
preacher. I’M NOT LOOKING TO CONVERT ANYBODY. I feel people come to hear my
music, not to hear me talk" (Amy Grant, St. Petersburg Times, Florida,
April 7, 1984, p. 4).
"I don’t feel like it’s
my mission in life to preach to people. I feel like it’s just my gift to
communicate life as I see it" (Amy Grant, Family Weekly, August 11,
1985).
"I’ve become
disillusioned, and that’s why my lyrics are less idealistic. I’m realizing
that the world isn’t a perfect place, and GOD CAN’T SOLVE EVERYONE’S PROBLEMS"
(Amy Grant, interview, Family Circle, September 9, 1986, p. 24).
"If an audience feels
I’ve walked away from God because I no longer talk about Him onstage, then
that’s their loss" (Amy Grant, Ibid.).
"I get tired of
Christians trying to tell me what being a Christian is. I get tired of that
kind of Christianity. … People asking, ‘Have you had your quiet time today?’
We have such a regimented idea of what Christianity is" (Amy Grant, 1980,
cited by Bob Millard, Amy Grant, p. 107).
"That’s one reason I
started writing songs, because I DIDN’T WANT TO IMPOSE MY RELIGION ON ANYONE.
This way the audience can sit back and draw its own conclusions. … My art and
the feeling I am trying to communicate through the songs, it would be silly
for me to say, this is who God is; I DON’T HAVE ANY ANSWERS" (Amy Grant,
interview, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Oct. 21, 1984).
"CHRISTIANS CAN BE
SEXY. What I’m doing is a good thing" (Amy Grant, interview, People,
July 15, 1991).
[The following is Amy’s
own description of her actions before a crowd of 30,000 young people in
Kissimmee, Florida, in 1978.] "We’re sitting there, I do my sound check. All
these girls are in halter tops, great figures, everybody's wearing nothing,
we’re in Floriday [her way of pronouncing Florida]. I’m eighteen, and I know
what they’re thinking. I said, ‘I really want to know Jesus and I really want
to love him except … my hormones are on ten, and I see you all … sitting out
there getting chummy and praying together -- and WE’RE HORNY. MY FEELING IS,
WHY FAKE IT? I’m not trying to be gross, I’m saying let’s be honest about
what’s coming down’" (Bob Millard, Amy Grant, 1986, p. 103).

A Word About People and The Truth
By David J. Stewart
People are going to say whatever they've
going to say. They'll find excuses to justify their friends, or reasons to
condemn their enemies. Right and wrong rarely have anything to do with the
choices people make. People tend to rationalize whatever their decision is at
the moment, whether it be good or bad, and nothing anyone says will likely
change their decision. Thus, anything can be justified. Once a person sets their
mind to do something, they begin to seek support for that decision from any
place they can find it. This is true of abortion, divorce, homosexuality,
stealing and other horrible sins.
This also includes religious Rock music.
Some of my biggest enameled are supporters of religious Rock music. I hesitate
to call it “Christian Rock,” because there's nothin Christian about it. The
safest path to take is obedience to the Word of God. Amy Grant openly admits
