We, the undersigned, wish to make the following statement based on the fluid, unfolding events in Ottawa in relation to the Freedom Convoy.
The Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees every Canadian’s right to peacefully assemble and the right to protest.
For nearly two weeks, Canadians with their families and children from all over the country from different ages, races, ethnicities, religions and beliefs have gathered in our Nation’s capital to exercise this right in unity, peace and love.
Many of the undersigned have attended and are still present in Ottawa. We have witnessed peaceful demonstration and have observed multiple acts of humanity which define what it means to be Canadian. These acts include providing meals to the homeless population, tidying the streets of trash and snow, keeping watch of the tomb of the unknown soldier and other monuments and assisting business owners with tidiness while providing patronage to their establishment. There is overwhelming evidence to substantiate what we have witnessed first-hand.
The corporate media’s coverage of these events does not accurately depict what is transpiring.
The government’s decision to block refueling of the trucks puts fellow Canadians and their families including their young children in danger due to the extreme cold temperatures currently occurring in Ottawa. Regardless where one stands on this topic, these actions are inhumane and do not align with Canadian principles.
The spirit of the protest in Ottawa is that of peace and coming together as a nation. We will continue encouraging the non-violent nature of the protest and non-interference with emergency vehicles and businesses established in the area.
If Canada truly is a democratic nation, then we call on our duly elected members of government to engage in meaningful dialogue consistent with the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Unjustly labelling those protesting the unconstitutional public health orders as terrorists, racists and misogynists is unacceptable and creates further divide.

I'm sorry, but this has to be said! I've been hearing convoy members saying, "we don't blame them, they're just following orders" when referring to the Ottawa police services...that's a cop out (no pun intended)

I spent 21 years of regular force service to this country, and those police have the exact same code of ethics that our military has...the obligation to refuse an unlawful order from a commanding officer or government official, without fear of prosecution.

Every one of those officers had the obligation to refuse the order they were given, to confiscate fuel that was being properly and legally stored...stop excusing their actions as "they're just following orders"... Hitler's troops used that same excuse!

We hope people understand from the video from Canada above, what is at stake and why truckers contine to peacefully protest.

That the police can take fuel on the basis a "crime" has been committed is beyond us. It's difficult to see how those police can square what they are doing verses the rights of people under the Canadian Constitution.

We all need to understand what the doctors in the press conference are saying. Hundreds of thousands of people have died needlessly as they could have had safe early treatments. Not only that but people have now had an experimental jab, that is both unnecessary and dangerous and thousands upon thousands have died from it.

These are the most heinous crimes committed by those that have been entrusted with the governance of countries. It's hard, we know, for some people to get their head around, but it has happened and is still happening. The sooner we all realise that and take a peaceful stand against it, like the Canadian truckers, the better.

That there are still people that do not see, will not see, or cannot see, what is going on, is beyond us.

It simply cannot be argued that these "leaders" do not know the harms from all their measures, including the jabs. The science is clear and there for all to see who choose to look at it.

I appreciated receiving your thoughts and comments regarding the various measures put in place to address the COVID-19 pandemic. We can certainly start on a point of agreement: we have had it with the disruption and distress that the pandemic has caused.

We can also take as a hopeful sign that the medical experts the government has relied on for the last two years is suggesting it is time to review those measures to see if they are getting the results we need. Rest assured that as we have all along, we will take that advice and will take another look at the mandates and restrictions that have been put in place across Canada.

While our federal government will certainly take this step, it is important to note that the vast majority of the health-related restrictions in place right now have been responses from individual provinces, exercising their constitutional authority over health care. As such, calls for another look at restrictions, mandates, etc. should be made to provincial and territorial governments.

Or to the United States. The truckers’ objection to a vaccine mandate makes no sense – the US requires everyone, including truckers, to be fully vaccinated in order to cross the border. Canadian governments could rise up as one to end vaccine mandates, but any long-haul trucker wanting to pick up or deliver loads in the States would still be out of work.

From the thousands of emails our office has received, it is clear that there are two main arguments being made. Those opposed to measures by governments to manage the spread of COVID-19, particularly by mandating vaccinations, mask-wearing, limits on the number of people allowed into certain venues argue their right to ‘personal sovereignty’. Others, the vast majority of Canadians, believe that the measures intended to protect people from being infected are there for ‘the common good’, and have been willing to get vaccinated, wear the masks and keep clear of higher-risk situations.

Personally, I believe both perspectives need to be respected. Those who object to and reject vaccines should not be challenged to justify their decision. Doing this simply feeds the demand for rationale from dubious sources that only serves to misinform and stoke fear and resentment on all sides. Based on my own experience in the insurance sector, where the risk of an injury increases with exposure to a perilous situation, it’s simply a matter of keeping unvaccinated people away from those perils and away from harm.

After COVID-19 vaccines began rolling out this time last year, it soon became evident that the unvaccinated were at a higher risk for serious illnesses and death than the vaccinated. Now, a year later, those partially or fully vaccinated represent about 90 per cent of Canadians. The 10 per cent who remain unvaccinated account for 90 per cent of those in our hospitals’ intensive care units, and 99 per cent of COVID fatalities. So, as long as the virus remains at that level of threat to our most vulnerable people, governments at all levels have a duty to protect them.

This protection goes beyond saving their lives or sparing them from serious illness. An unvaccinated person might not show any symptoms if infected, but will shed a much higher volume of the virus, endangering those around them. While the vaccinated might still get sick if infected, they are far less likely to end up needing care in a hospital. However, we could see up to a third of our workforce reporting in sick, and that includes emergency services personnel as well as teachers or nurses and doctors -- not just the cashiers, office workers or restaurant servers. As such, keeping the unvaccinated safe is necessary to protect Canada’s economy from further harm as a result of COVID’s impact on our productivity.

With respect to the current protests, notably the one in Ottawa, we should recognize that whatever we were told, there is ample evidence that they really haven’t been about COVID mandates. The organizers have been ‘outed’ – they are as they’ve been described. If there were people with genuine opposition to the pandemic restrictions, they should have realized that their issues were quickly co-opted by people who take pleasure in their racism, anti-social behaviour and their willingness to impose far more severe restrictions on people than any government has done so far.

If some protesters had a genuine concern about mandates, they should have gone home when those among them were dancing on the grave of the Unknown Soldier, intimidating residents and workers in downtown Ottawa and blasting truck horns all night. As for those who hung in with the protest and the politicians who mingled with them...who tried to have us believe that, ‘oh, there are some good people in the protest, a Twitter post last week said it all: ‘if you have one guy waving a Swastika and 100 others walking with him, you have 101 Nazis’.

One last thing to note: we had an election last September. As the Prime Minister mentioned during a late evening emergency debate on the Ottawa incidents, our party ran on a plan to apply vaccine mandates and Canadians elected us to act on our platform. There’s a very clear majority in the House of Commons of progressive parties and MP’s who believe vaccines and vaccine mandates are necessary.

The Prime Minister and senior Cabinet Ministers are working with Ottawa and the Province of Ontario on a combined response. We will make sure Ottawa has the resources it needs to end the occupation.

Has this been divisive? Perhaps to a minority of Canadians who put the most importance on their personal rights, but contrary to what you see from the protests, most Canadians object not only to their position but also to the way they’ve conducted themselves. Canada’s democracy has continued to respond to the interests of all Canadians, whether they want to realize it or not.

These Canadian police officers are committing War Crimes in violation of GENEVA CONVENTION RELATIVE TO THE PROTECTION OF CIVILIAN PERSONS IN TIME OF WAR OF AUGUST 12, 1949, ARTICLE 30 -- APPLICATION TO PROTECTING POWERS AND RELIEF ORGANIZATIONS, PARAGRAPH 1. -- RIGHT OF COMMUNICATION, 1. PRINCIPLE, p. 174. See also THE GENEVA CONVENTIONS OF 12 AUGUST 1949 COMMENTARY, Jean S. PICTET, pp. 213-215.

The Truckers and other members of the public are "Protected Persons" under Article 30, and have the "absolute right" to "protest" inter alia and receive "material relief" from "any organization that might assist them." Moreover, the Canadian police force has an affirmative duty such that the "Detaining or Occupying Powers [the Canadian police force] shall facilitate as much as possible visits to protected persons by the representatives of other organizations whose object is to give spiritual aid or material relief to such persons" inter alia. Therefore, the Canadian police officers are committing War Crimes against Protected Persons under the Geneva Convention 4, Article 30, Paragraph 1, 1. Principle by seizing fuel from Protected Persons. The Canadian police are advised to immediately Cease and Desist such War Crimes. The Protected Persons are advised to remain peaceful; record the names and images of anyone potentially committing War Crimes; and, request assistance from "Protecting Powers," namely, the Global Military Alliance. There are some nurses and doctors in the USA coming forth to tell everyone that the risks of the vaccine are far higher than the risks of covid. Children never should have been part of this vaccine, it takes many years to know the full side effects from the vaccine yet after just a few months of trail they released this thing and we are only now seeing the awful side effects of it, 10 year Olds don't have heart attacks. When anyone has a vaccine injury from this vaccine they have been marking it as anxiety. It's wrong!!!
