Self-made Religious Prophet Harold Camping
...WRONG AGAIN!

By David J. Stewart

“When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” —Deuteronomy 18:22

Harold Camping is WRONG AGAIN! Jesus didn't return on May 21, 2011 as Harold Camping prophesied for so long. But what did happen is that Harold Camping made a lot of money off his religious escapades...

How Harold Camping marketed the Rapture
Self-made prophet with $117 million radio network spreads worldwide message that the Apocalypse will begin at 6 p.m. ET Saturday

(CBS News) LOS ANGELES - Some Americans have extreme plans this weekend. A religious leader named Harold Camping has convinced them the end of the world starts at 6 p.m. ET Saturday.

Most of the world's faithful do not believe the date is Judgment Day. But as CBS News correspondent Bill Whitaker reports, it seems just about everyone's seen the signs about the end of the world.

"May 21st, 2011 is the day of judgment," a Family Radio ad says. It's a prophecy aggressively peddled by 89-year-old Harold Camping, a civil engineer and self-taught Biblical sage.

"You and I are living at the time of the end of the world," Camping says.

End of World prediction disputed

He claims to have discerned the date from numerological calculations revealed by his reading of the Bible. He spread his prophecy around the world through broadcasts on his Family Radio network in 84 languages, on RV caravans and on 1,200 billboards around the country.

So how much would Doomsday cost?

According to Camping, starting Saturday, "There's going to be a huge earthquake that's going to make the big earthquake in Japan seem like a Sunday school picnic."

"We want people to know that there are a few hours left to cry out to him for mercy," says Ken Ronning.

Trumpeting the apocalypse doesn't come cheap. Family Radio spent as much as $1 million on the billboard campaign. It can afford to. Camping's radio network was worth about $22 million in 2002 -- by 2008 it was valued at more than $117 million.

"It's a combination of a very new and rather peculiar way of reading the Bible coupled with brilliant 20th century American marketing," says Rev. Michael Seiler of St. Matthew's Episcopal Chruch.

It's become a cultural touchstone for late night comics. David Letterman recently joked, "The No. 1 way to make the apocalypse for fun? More fun? What's more fun than the apocalypse for God's sake?"

The end of the world has been predicted more than 100 times in the last 100 years. In fact, Harold Camping predicted the end once before - in 1994. This time he says he's certain.

The Family Radio demonic cult has raked in untold tens-of-millions of dollars by falsely predicating the end of the world. Oh, I assure you that the world as we know it will eventually end, but not at the whim of some wayward televangelist or self-made prophet. Harold Camping falsely predicted Christ's return in 1994 too...

Harold Camping Doomsday Prediction record: 0-2

Most people are naive and gullible because they don't know God, because they don't search the Scriptures as Jesus taught in John 5:39. Except a man be born-again Jesus said he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (John 3:5). Most of the people in society today are as cattle headed for the slaughter house, woefully ignorant concerning the truth about nearly everything. The lying newsmedia and television networks go to great lengths, spending massive amounts of money, and hiring the best sell-outs money can buy to deceive the public, to keep them wandering in darkness, and blinding them from the truth about everything, especially Biblical Christianity.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” —Matthew 7:15

We are living in a world of liars. People will say or do almost anything to benefit themselves, make more money, receive a promotion, secure popularity, and do what's best for them. It is wickedness and totally contrary to the way God wants believers to live (Philippians 2:4-5,21).

Over the past 50-years Camping has gathered a worldwide following of deceived souls. The cult has become very popular through the Family Radio (officially Family Stations, Inc.) broadcast over the years since 1958. Harold Camping predicted the end of the world back in 1994. Obviously he was wrong.

Camping has once again made a complete fool of himself and his followers, who predicted doomsday on May 21, 2011...

Harold Camping followers plan more billboards warning of May 21, 2011 Judgment Day

The first guess by 89-year-old Harold Camping, who initially predicted the world would end in 1994, was incorrect. Let’s hope his prognostications are not improving.

More billboards are on the way however, warning New Jersey’s drivers that Judgment Day is fast approaching on May 21, 2011.

According to NJ.com, many believers in the 21st date say the Bible contains unquestionable clues. God tells Noah the world will end in seven days; the Bible also equates a day to 1,000 years. The date of the flood has been set at 4990 B.C., so adding 7,000 years plus one for the missing year "0" produces the year 2011. Translating a Biblical reference to a month and date, from the Hebrew calendar to the Gregorian, results in May 21.

"It’s no other date. It’s only that date," says Michael Garcia, special projects coordinator at Camping’s Family Radio enterprise.

NJ. com reports that Vineland resident Edwin Ramos has wrapped his RV in shrink wrap that predicts the world will end May 21, 2011, and has been driving his RV up and down the East Coast in an effort to spread the message.

He has also placed his message on six billboards around Cumberland County.

Ramos said an organization called We Can Know has put up more than 1,000 billboards across the country proclaiming the same message. He is on an email list at ebiblefellowship.com comprising 900 other members who plan for their meetings through the forum.

More billboards will be funded by about 30 New Jersey believers who want to save their neighbors, says Bob James, a Morristown electrical engineer who organized the effort. The three dozen billboards currently visible in New Jersey are courtesy of Family Radio, a Christian broadcasting network led by Camping operating out of Oakland.

According to the LA Daily News, Camping's followers say that day - a Saturday - will bring a universal earthquake and the start of the Rapture, when Jesus returns to Earth and about 200 million "saved" Christians rise to heaven.

And Oct. 21 will mark the final, fiery destruction of the planet and the universe.

But norwichbulletin.com points out that in I Corinthians 15:52, the Apostle Paul states that Judgment Day will come, “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet.” Layman’s translation: It’s going to come quickly, not after five months notice from billboards in New Jersey.

Camping's demonic cult have been putting up advertisements on billboards and public benches everywhere, claiming the return of Christ and Judgment Day is coming on May 21, 2011...

We are living in the Last Days when the Bible foretold that false prophets would abound.

The end times cult is propagating their lies at WeCanKnow.com. This “We Can Know” group, don't KNOW!!! I'm sure they're making a lot of money, filthy lucre, off this scheme. “Filthy lucre” is money ill-gotten. This is certainly ill-gotten money made off religious garbage and Satanic lies. Harold Camping has published a wacko book titled, THE DOOMSDAY CODE. Here's what Amazon.com has to say about Camping's book...

Product Description

...In The Doomsday Code, you will learn: • Why and when the earth was created. • What happens to a person who dies. • What the Bible reveals about conditions in today's local congregations of Christian churches, and what terrible thing happened there in recent history. • How we can know that Judgment Day begins on May 21, 2011 with a great earthquake, and that the last day of the earth's existence will be October 21, 2011. • What will happen to you if God has not saved you by May 21, 2011. • Which groups of people God will punish more severely during the five months of Judgment Day. • Whose countdown for the nation of Israel began on May 14, 1948. • How we can turn back our calendar to determine the date of the Crucifixion. The author is retired and lives in New York City.

WOOOO, I'm scared. Just kidding! Biblically, there is no significance to ANY DATES. Jesus plainly taught that NO MAN knoweth the DAY nor the HOUR when the Son of Man will return...

Matthew 24:44, “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

Matthew 25:13, “Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.”

Luke 12:40, “Be ye therefore ready also: for the Son of man cometh at an hour when ye think not.”

Matthew 25:13 plainly teaches that NO MAN knows the day when Jesus Christ will return... NO MAN. Let's see what happens on May 21, 2011. Let's see if Harold Camping is correct, that is, if the world comes to a fiery destructive end by October 21, 2011 beginning with a massive earthquake and Rapture on May 21, 2011.

The Bible warned us about these false prophets of doom who would attempt to lead us astray from THE TRUTH of God's Word. It doesn't surprised me that Harold Camping's ministry is based out of California. There are more false cults, weirdoes, nutcases, con artists, homosexuals, and fruitcakes in California than any other place in America. California is known as the “granola state,” that is, the land of fruits and nuts. The area is known for HollyWEIRD, San FranSICKO, and CaliFORNICATION. Add to that the unbiblical teachings of John MacArthur, Ray Comfort, and Harold Camping. Maybe it's something in the air in California.

Deuteronomy 18:22, “When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” In other words, don't place any weight upon what he has to say anymore. If a prophet says something is of God, and it doesn't come to pass, then you know that he is not of God. Camping predicted that the world would end in 1994 and no doubt made a lot of money from saying that. A lot of people are naive, gullible, and ignorant, buying into such lies and end time doomsday scenarios. Such speculative claims not based upon the Bible sell lots of books.

Hebrews 1:2 teaches that God speaks to us in these Last Days through His Son, i.e., through the Word of God. God doesn't speak to ANYONE today through dreams, visions, nor personal interpretation. In John 5:39 Jesus told us to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES.

Like the Jehovah's Witness and Seventh Day Adventist demonic cults, Camping and his followers crunch a bunch of numbers to mean something that God did not say.

We all have the SAME Bible, as given by inspiration to the prophets and Apostles. The Bible was completed in A.D. 96. The Word of God is our Final Authority, a Lamp unto our feet (Psalm 119:105). God doesn't speak through religious nuts like Bill Wiese, nor Pat Robertson, nor Harold Camping.

BEWARE of Harold Camping, who is a demonic false prophet!!!

Don't you believe it!!! The Bible does NOT teach this! The Lord will return at a time when men know not.

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction."
