It could have been fixed. I was an admin for Maine. I offered to help in other states. The problem is they had a bunch of admin that didn't know what they where doing and mighty mouse panicked and deleted them. A lot of states that where deleted had no issues. This was an issue with bad management.

See this is why truckers need CB radios again. My brother is a long-haul trucker and he says no one even uses them anymore and no one really has them. That would have been perfect because they can talk amongst themselves and then when they get local they can talk with someone on the ground with a walkie-talkie who is nearby. I support whatever location the truckers feel is the best choice but my two cents is that we have a better chance at enacting change through our state capitals. The Supreme Court has made it very clear recently that State's Rights supercedes Federal. So I think the key is to draw attention to states such as California and New York that are pushing the mandates. People from states that lifted their Emergency Powers and Mandates can join in to aid those in states that are being unreasonable.

Dear Senators,

As you are aware, our Prime Minister has proposed the Emergencies Act which must first be passed in Parliament and then through the Senate.

As a Canadian citizen, I implore you NOT to pass this Act. Why?

1) Section 2 (c) of the Charter of Rights and Freedoms guarantees the freedom of “peaceful assembly.” [1] It is one of the fundamental freedoms protected in the Charter.

2) The Emergency Act is meant to

protect the “safety and security of the individual, the protection of the values of the body politic and the preservation of the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of the state are fundamental obligations of government; AND WHEREAS the fulfilment of those obligations in Canada may be seriously threatened by a national emergency.”

The truckers are not preventing the government from getting on with the business of governing. No Ottawa citizen or member of Parliament are being “seriously threatened.” The truckers are protecting the values and freedoms of Canadian citizens that are slowly being eroded, and preserving their rights of bodily autonomy and medical sovereignty. The truckers’ peaceful protest does not meet the threshold for a “national emergency” as defined in the Act.

3) These hard-working Freedom Convoy Truckers—the ones who deliver our food and other goods day in and day out-- have been peaceful, respectful and law-abiding. They are not violent nor have they destroyed property. On the contrary, they have cleared the streets of snow and garbage, and crime in the City of Ottawa has plummeted since their arrival.

4) As per the request of the Ottawa police, the Convoy has left a lane open for emergency vehicles. They have stopped the honking of horns.

5) Theirs is a simple, common sense request at the 2-year mark of this “pandemic”—stop all COVID restrictions which have negatively impacted our children, our economy, our health and our society; restrictions which have been shown to have little, if any, impact on “flattening the curve”.

6) The pandemic is over. Omicron creates mild symptoms. It’s time to resume normal life once again without fear.

7) Our hospitals are not overwhelmed. Period.

8) These patriotic men and women have left their homes and family for a cause that is held dearly by ALL Canadians. They have inspired a nationwide and international movement in the drive for freedom. All national and global attention sits squarely on Canada at this historical moment in time. Where will each of you take your seat in history.

Below, please find the list of countries, states and jurisdictions which have lifted all COVID restrictions.

Senators, there is no need to escalate what is currently a civil, peaceful, legal protest (albeit with vehicles illegally parked and ticketed). There is a practical political solution. It just needs adequate time and patience to unfold. Please allow it to come to its logical conclusion rather than creating yet another stain on our Canadian history by passing the Emergencies Act. Do not pass the Emergencies Act.

Four Premeirs from Canada disagree with what Trudeau is trying to do. The Premiers of Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Quebec stated that they don’t support the prime minister’s use of the act.

Yeah...my intuition tells me their are trafficking tunnels under those buildings in Ottawa. The areas around parliament..look flat..except for the water locks...where everyone skates. Whenever we get to the Great Depression, somebody asks about bank runs.  What is a “run on the bank?”  Why would people suddenly rush to get their cash out of the bank?  And why can’t the bank just pay it out?
Frank Capra showed and explained it best, probably, in his 1946 film, “It’s a Wonderful Life.”  But first, my weak attempt:
Banks don’t keep all the money deposited there in the vault.  Banks make money by loaning out to others the money put on deposit.  The people who get the loans must pay interest on the loan, and that allows the bank to pay interest on the deposits people put there (precious little today — my first account paid 5.25% on my first $5.00 deposit; today you’re lucky to get 1%, and you have to have sizable minimum, generally.  But I digress . . .).
So, if you and a hundred other people each deposit $100 in the bank, the bank turns around and loans out as much as they can.  Of the $10,000 deposited, say, they loan out $9,000 to the guy who lives next door to you, so he can put an addition on his house.  He’ll pay it back, with interest.
But, that loan means that there is only $1,000 left in the vault.  Generally a 10% “reserve” will cover all the cash transactions a bank makes in a day.  That is, if they have 10% of their total assets sitting in the vault, making no new money for them, it is highly unlikely that in a normal day there will be a demand for more than about $1,000 of that $10,000 on deposit.  (The actual reserve amounts vary; last time I looked, several months ago, the Federal Reserve Board required member banks to hold about 7% of their total assets in cash on hand.)
You can begin to see why a bank run is a problem.  If, in one day, every depositor showed up and demanded their deposit, the bank couldn’t pay them all.  This is a death sentence in the banking world, for a bank to be unable to meet obligations, and generally that would mean that the bank would be out of business.  But of course, that’s rather unfair to the bank — they  have their money (your money, really) loaned out to dozens of other people.  When those loans come in, the bank will have the cash to pay.
A run on the bank puts a kink in those careful, conservative calculations of how much cash a bank needs to have on hand to cover all the transactions of a day.
Banks fear a run.  That’s what killed banks in 1932 and 1933, in the last year of the Hoover administration.  Even a good bank could be doomed by an unjustified run — no bank could repay all of its depositors, in cash, on any one day.

This scared me when I saw it. I went and checked my prepping supply and found we'd depleted some items! (too harsh for farms or gardens where we live) so replenishing canned veggies, along with some OTC medicine like cough syrup, cough drops, ibuprofen and pain relieving neosporin.
