Pat Robertson's CBN Promotes New Age Psychologists!
By David J. Stewart
Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) promotes and recommends ailing Christian leaders to Dr. William Gaultiere (http://www.soulshepherding.org), a psychologist, who suggests $130 counseling fee to help pastors, pastors’ wives, missionaries, leaders, and care-givers who have addictions, marriage problems, depression, anxiety, et cetera.
I looked over Gaultiere's website, which offers a ton of lame so-called spiritual guidance and teachings, but the words “sin” and “sinner” aren't found. If THE TRUTH about humanity's sin-nature is ignored, then you know something is wrong with a person's teachings. On their website they advertise:
“In groups, seminars, and retreats we teach them how to connect deeply with Christ and one another through Scripture meditation, reflective prayer, soul talk, and other spiritual practices.”
SOURCE: http://www.soulshepherding.org/
Mr. Gaultiere is teaching New Age heresy, which also ignores the reality of sin. For anyone to teach “spirituality” without mentioning the fact and remedy for sin (that remedy being the precious blood of Jesus, 1st Peter 1:18-19) is teaching New Age heresy. Modern heathen psychology is rooted in New Age philosophies. I wouldn't give you a dime for modern psychology. Every psychologist is trained in atheistic, humanistic, and evolutionistic universities.
I also noticed that the Gospel is NOT shared anywhere on their website.
In this apostate and faithless generation, it it not surprising that Christians are flocking to psychologists trained in heathenistic, evolutionistic, humanistic, and atheistic universities for spiritual counseling. Psalm 1:1,“Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.”
New Age Meditation, Healing, and Chanted Prayers
The SoulShepherding.org website looks subtly New Age to me. That is my humble opinion. There is no invitation to receive Christ as one's personal Savior, no teaching of the Doctrine of Christ, no call to repentance, et cetera. Anyone who claims to be helping people in the spiritual realm is treading on holy ground. We need to expose imposters!
The talk of “spiritual practices” is a dangerous term. The Bible does not mention “soul talk,” “reflective prayer,” nor “spiritual practices.”
On their website, Bill Gaultiere and his wife Kristi claim to help people...
“connect deeply with Christ in ways that facilitate soul transformation.”
SOURCE: Bible Study and Theology Index: CBN.com Spiritual Life
“In ways that facilitate soul transformation”? Huh? How many different ways are there to “connect” to Christ? These people scare me. The notion of “connecting” to Christ is unbiblical. You either have the Spirit of Christ as a true Christian believer, or you don't (Romans 8:9). The terms that Bill and Krista use are cause for concern, as they sound like the New Age instead of Biblical Christianity.
Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Many of the writings on their website are written in 3rd person, as dead chants commonly recited in the Catholic Church. This is NOT Biblical Christianity. The Bible does not teach recited prayers, to be repeated over and over in one's mind.
Mentoring People for the Devil
On the front of their website they state:
A Ministry of Soul Care And Spiritual Mentoring;
SOURCE: http://www.soulshepherding.org/about/foundational-values/
Since they claim to be mentoring people spiritually, caring for the souls of others; and they are receiving hundreds of web visitors per day; we must try the spirits to see if they are of God as 1st John 4:1 commands.
On their website, Bill and Kristi Gaultiere speak of meditation, healing, transformation, which are popular New Age concepts. Dr. Kristi Gaultiere says:
“...we invite pastors, ministry leaders, and all spiritual seekers to participate with us in ways of contemplative prayer and Scripture meditation. We do this in seminars, retreats, spiritual mentoring, and psychotherapy.”
SOURCE: http://www.soulshepherding.org/articles/spiritual-disciplines/
“Scripture mediation” sounds good; but as you will see in a bit, they mean something different than what they say.
It is so clear to me that these two are New Agers. Kristi speaks of “spiritual seekers.” Huh? In sharp contrast, Acts 17:26-27 states, “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; THAT THEY SHOULD SEEK THE LORD.” Krista Gaultiere talks about seeking something spiritual; whereas the Word of God tells men to SEEK THE LORD JESUS CHRIST! The terminology that Bill and Kristi Gaultiere use is consistent with heathen psychology, which is rooted in New Age doctrines. Men ought to seek the Lord; not spirituality. New Agers are spiritual seekers.
Do you see how slick the Devil is? In these Last Days, Satan has raised up false prophets, imposters, fakes and deceivers, just as the Bible said he would...
1st Timothy 4:1-2, “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.”
The father of modern psychology, Sigmund Freud, was an unsaved heretic who established his works with evolutionistic and atheistic beliefs. He committed suicide. I simply don't trust anyone's teachings who were indoctrinated in a heathen State university. I am not condemning the Gaultiere's; rather, I am contending for the Christian faith, warning people from a Biblical perspective that these two are not what they appear to be. They speak of spirituality; but the Gospel is not preached.
The Gaultiere's Teach Vain Repetitions as Do Unsaved Catholics!
Even in Biblical times, there were many mumbo-jumbo talkers and deceivers...
Titus 1:10, “For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers...”
In the following article on their website, titled, “God's Word to Me,” they teach people to do a breathing exercise while chanting this prayer...
Let me prayer poem based on Psalm 19 help you to breathe in and out the name that is above all names…
God’s Word to Me
Jesus… You are God’s Son shining in the heavens
Jesus… I smile in your light
~
Jesus… You are my Bridegroom coming for me
Jesus… I hold you in my heart
~
Jesus… You are my Champion rejoicing to run your course
Jesus… I follow you
~
Jesus… You are God’s Law restoring souls
Jesus… I study and obey you
~
Jesus… You are more precious than gold
Jesus… I give up all for you
~
Jesus… You are sweeter than honey
Jesus… I delight in you
~
Jesus… You are God’s Word to me
Jesus… I love to speak your name

Ladies and gentleman, that is 100% pure demonic CATHOLICISM!!! When someone repeatedly mentions your name in conversation, they are disrespecting you. It appears that these people are mocking the Lord. If you approach the God of the universe with those words, which are nothing but empty mumbo-jumbo, you don't know the God of the Bible. You need to get saved. God is a personal God, with Whom we can talk as with a real person. Would you talk to ANYONE in such a manner as the preceding so-called prayer? No way! As born-again Christians, we ought to communicate with God in normal, everyday speech; because God is an individual Being with Whom we can warmly fellowship.
It is so clear that these people are NOT Biblical Christians. At best they are wayward Catholics. I've been in Baptist churches my whole life and I've NEVER prayed like that, nor heard anyone else pray like that! It is disrespectful to the Lord Jesus Christ!!!
Instead of teaching people to spend time alone with God and pray from the heart, they provide recited prayers as the Catholics do, chanting dead repetitious words that Jesus condemned in Matthew 6:7, “But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.”
On their website, the Gaultiere's teach something that I definitely would consider in the New Age department called, “Abiding Prayers”...
“ 'Abiding Prayers' are simple, and yet profound, Bible-based prayers that help us to trust and follow Christ as his disciples. ... Abiding Prayer is a way to pray Scripture deeply by focusing on the words in quiet prayer, slowly repeating them to yourself over and over. As you turn God’s Word over in your mind you 'Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly' ” (Colossians 3:16). [emphasis added]

Is that what it means to “Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly” ... chanting the same words over and over? Carefully notice that the Gaultiere's DIDN'T say reciting the Scriptures over and over; but rather, the PRAYERS which they formed from the Scriptures. Again, this is pure demonic CATHOLICISM!
This is what I referred to earlier when I said they don't mean what they say, when they talk about Scripture meditation. They use the Bible like Catholics do, only to chant meaningless mumbo-jumbo as a form of bogus worship. There's no Doctrine of Christ, only dead devotion to a false god. All the pictures on their website look Catholic! The term “born again” is not found. These people are deceivers!!! And don't miss the donate button all over the place. I've never made one penny from my online ministry, and never will; the truth should be preached freely. This is a labor of love from my heart. My reward is in Heaven! I am serving the precious Lord Jesus Christ. Amen and amen!
Also, notice that they left off the words “in all wisdom” from Colossians 3:16. We're commanded to “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom.” This Scriptures speaks of THE TRUTH, i.e., the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible speaks of Psalms, hymns and spiritual songs in Colossians 3:16; but it doesn't speak of repetitious prayers. The Gaultiere's have turned Christianity into a prayer chanting form of religion. If you've ever been to a Catholic Church, then you know when it comes time to pray, everyone has already memorized the so-called “prayers,” and they all repeat the same prayers over and over and over from week-to-week. Catholics are taught to use prayer books, to recite memorized prayers over and over. Nothing is fresh from the heart.
These are the psychotherapists that Pat Robertson's Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) are referring troubled ministers and Christian leaders to for spiritually help and guidance!!! The truth is that Christian leaders who are weak enough to fall for this are being mentored into the Catholic Church, New Age philosophies; and are being inoculated from THE TRUTH of God's Word. Our beloved Savior told us in John 5:39 to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!
Just like Contemporary Music music (CCM) singers and groups, these imposters don't tell anyone how to be saved! The Gospel should be in plain view for everyone to see; but it's not. Hell is a real place, with real fire, where real people die a second death and are tormented in real pain for all eternity. Why prey tell me don't all these professed CCM singers, ecumenical ministers, so-called Christian psychologists, and all the rest of them, PREACH THE GOSPEL? The Gospel is so simple; but the Devil has gone to extreme lengths to BLIND THE MINDS OF THEM WHICH BELIEVE NOT (2nd Corinthians 4:4), to hinder them from finding THE TRUTH of the Gospel and being saved.
Psychotherapy is Not God's Answer to Sin
The Bible gives us an example in the life of King David in the Old Testament. David stole a man's wife and then murdered her husband in a conspiracy to cover-up his sins. David later repented at the preaching of God's man, Nathan. In Psalm 51:1-10 we have God's remedy for sin...
King David acknowledged his transgressions as sins, and sought forgiveness from God, asking God to cleanse him from all sin...
Psalm 51:1-4, “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. ”
David desired to be clean within, to be righteous in the eye's of God...
Psalm 51:7-10, “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
King David memorized Scriptures to help him live right..
Psalm 119:11, “Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”
Even the best Christians, as the Apostle Paul (Romans 7:15-25) still struggle with sin. But David listened to God's man, Nathan. David immediately repented (2nd Samuel 12:13). Psychotherapy is NOT the answer; people must REPENT! The Scriptures will either keep men from sin (Psalm 119:11); or else sin will keep men from the Scriptures (John 3:20).
God is against modern psychology, because it is an agendacized religion intended to lead people into New Age philosophies; totally ignoring the reality of sin, placing no emphasis upon being born-again by a miracle of God, nor of the critically important Doctrine of Christ which is the foundation of Biblical Christianity (1st Corinthians 3:11; 2nd John 1:9).
The biggest problem with modern psychology is that it totally ignores the reality of sin and the evil nature of mankind. God hates when people combine secular demonic psychology with the Bible, which amounts to Psychoheresy!
William Gaultiere, Ph.D. is a Psychologist specializing in “Christian Soul Care” since 1986. Bill and his wife Kristi (a Marriage and Family Therapist) have a donor-supported ministry to pastors and leaders called Soul Shepherding. In counseling, spiritual mentoring, seminars, and retreats Bill and Kristi help people to connect deeply with Christ in ways that facilitate soul transformation. At Bill and Kristi’s webstie, SoulShepherding.org, you will find articles, prayers, and pictures to nourish your soul in God.

The hope of the world is Hell, fire and damnation preaching; not spiritual seminars! Jesus commanded us to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES in John 5:39. None of these apostates teaches soul-winning (Proverb 11:30).
What this Faithless Generation Needs is Biblical Preaching!
Titus 1:3 teaches that God “hath in due times manifested his Word THROUGH PREACHING, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour.” God deliver us from psychologists! I am not criticizing nor condemning Mr. Gaultiere, I am simply saying that people's problems are because of sin. You give God your heart, and He'll comb the kinks out of your head.
The Bible warned us that false teachers would creep into our churches UNAWARES (Jude 1:4). Satan is doing this by convincing churches that they need Christian leaders who have degrees in secular psychology. No you don't! All across America, churches are calling pastors to their pulpits who have degrees in modern heathen psychology. This is evil. No wonder today's churches are in such a mess. Modern psychology is of the Devil, ignoring the reality of sin (a term they don't even recognize).
Pat Robertson is a false prophet, a clairvoyant. The Christian Broadcasting Network [CBN] is just another vehicle of ecumenicalism, by which Satan is gradually bringing Catholics and Protestants back together; uniting the world's religions into a one-world Luciferian religion that is based upon experiences, meditation, feelings; and not the absolute TRUTH of Jesus Christ (John 14:6) and God's holy Word (John 17:17).
Max Lucado, Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Ray Comfort, John MacArthur, The 700 Club, Trinity Broadcasting Network [TBN], World Vision, The Salvation Army, Nelson Publishers, Zondervan, and many others, are all a part of the growing New World Order. 85 apostate Christian leaders recently signed onto the Global Warming bandwagon, a confirmed bogus scam to deceive the masses. They all have occult symbols displayed on their books, websites and elsewhere, identifying who they really serve, Satan.
The answer is not reformation, rehabilitation, education, nor legislation; but regeneration. Ye must be born-again (John 3:7)!
“Old-fashioned, Spirit-filled, Christ-honoring, sin-hating, soul-winning, Bible preaching! It is the hope of the church! It is the hope of the nation! It is the hope of the world!” —Pastor Jack Hyles (1926-2001)
