You Fool, Tonight Thy Soul Shall Be Required!

Luke 12:20, “But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”
There are no material possessions that you can bring with you beyond the grave. All your properties, clothing, investments, money and possessions will belong to someone else when you die! Yet, so many people are consumed with worldly possessions; investing, borrowing, scheming and planning for the years ahead. One day God will say, “You fool, tonight I am taking your soul, and you will have NOTHING in eternity.”

God knows how many untold billions of people have died unexpectedly, such as
the wealthy man in Luke 12:20, and were not ready to meet God. Most people
today are living selfishly for themselves, always thinking in terms of
dollars-and-cents.
Life is so short, it will be over before you know what happened. What treasures have you laid up in Heaven as a Christian? When's the last time you witnessed to somebody with the gospel of Jesus Christ? When's the last time you helped a poor person, and shared Jesus with them, or gave them a Gospel of John?
If you're not a Christian, the Bible says you can know, beyond any shadow-of-a-doubt where you will spend eternity (1st John 5:13). You can “know” you're saved because salvation rests solely in the redemptive work of Jesus Christ; and not in ourselves (Ephesians 2:8-9). Praise God for the saving power of the blood of Jesus!
There are so many fools in the world today who are living as if life will never end. They boast of their own goodness, instead of boasting about the goodness of God. They stuff their face with all types of delicacies, without ever thanking God for even one morsel of the food they eat. Out of the 86,400 seconds in a day, they don't stop to say “I love you God” even once. Yet, God gave His only begotten Son to pay for our sins. Jesus paid a debt that He did not owe, because we owed a big debt we couldn't pay. Jesus paid everything that we owed, so that we could have life eternal.
Ecclesiastes 12:1, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them.” Most young people are selfish, self-righteous and self-centered, which is what Walt Disney, MTV, and Hollywood teach them to be by example. They've abandoned God. I've never seen such a generation of spoiled, arrogant, rebellious brats! The Bible commands young people to remember God while they're young, because the day is coming when your heath will fail, something will go wrong, your life will crumble into pieces, and then all you'll have to look back on is a wasted life of selfish living.
Death can come quickly for anyone. This 18-year old girl absolutely had no idea that this would be the last day of her life, nor that she would burned alive in a fiery inferno. Like most teens her age, she probably had all kinds of plans for college, good times, and lots of parties with her friends. It didn't happen. Your time may soon be coming too!
We are living in a world of fools, who live in wickedness, ignoring the God of the Bible, doing their own thing. The most dangerous attitude you can have is that sincerity is all that matters. God says you're a fool if you think that! Proverb 16:25, “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Most paths seem right, but they are paths to destruction and misery without God. Ye must be born-again!
I meet so many fools who think that St. Judas Catholic church will save them; but they cannot. You can't talk any sense to them, because they are hard-headed against God's Word (Mark 7:6-13). You've been betrayed by Catholicism friend! Just as Judas betrayed the Lord, so do Catholics betray Christ by rejecting the “Commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.” (Mark 7:9). Most people couldn't care less, because God is not as real to them as they would like to think.
But God is real to me, and I must have His Word to live by. God's Word says what it says. Why are so many religious people blind to this truth? Thy soul will be required, and it may be much sooner than you think.
