2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9, “In flaming fire taking VENGEANCE on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction...”
There is hardly any preaching these days in apostate churches about the Lake of Fire, eternal punishment, God's vengeance, flames of fire, nor the awfulness of Hell. Only a complete fool would dare say that it is wrong to scare people into getting saved. My friend, you should be horribly trembling in fear if you are not a born-again child of God. If you die in your sins, 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9 warns that you will be punished in flames forever.
The Greek word for “vengeance” in 2nd Thessalonians 1:8 is “ekdikaysis” and means “retribution,” i.e., “The act of taking revenge (harming someone in retaliation for something harmful that they have done) especially in the next life.” The Bible teaches that God will punish the unsaved with flaming fire in Hell for every sin committed in this earthly life.
Revelation 20:12 teaches that the books will be opened and the dead (i.e., the unsaved) will be judged according to their works. People won't just die and go to Hell; God will take out His anger upon the wicked, tormenting them for their wickedness with unquenchable fire and brimstone (lava).
Isaiah 66:24, “And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, NEITHER SHALL THEIR FIRE BE QUENCHED; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.”
Revelation 21:8, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with FIRE AND BRIMSTONE: which is the SECOND DEATH.”
John 3:36, “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the WRATH OF GOD abideth on him.”
Psalm 7:11, “God judgeth the righteous, and GOD IS ANGRY WITH THE WICKED EVERY DAY.”
Romans 5:9, “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be SAVED FROM WRATH through him.”
Matthew 25:41 and 46, “Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels: ... And these shall go away into EVERLASTING PUNISHMENT: but the righteous into life eternal.”
Proverb 2:22, “But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.”
These
are but a few of hundreds of Scriptures that warn of the wrath of God and the
horrid judgment to come against the wicked. God is not playing games. It is no

surely will. It will be more frightening than anything anyone could ever
imagine.
The most fearful movie you've ever seen, or the worst nightmare you've ever had, or the most horrifying thing you can imagine in your mind—could never be a horrific as what eternal damnation in the Lake of Fire will be like!!!
God will take out His angry vengeance upon all Christ-rejecters the moment they die in their sins, just as the rich man in Luke 16:19-31 who died in his sleep and immediately found himself engulfed in flames of torment, suffering in unquenchable thirst, and not even one drop of water. Those who go to Hell will suffer eternal loneliness, unfathomable pain, and eternal damnation.
The rich man begged Abraham to send Lazarus from the dead to warn his 5 brothers, so they wouldn't suffer the same horrible eternal fate; but Abraham said...
Luke 16:30-31, “And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”
Moses and the prophets preached the Gospel of the coming Messiah. The Bible tells us...
Acts 10:43, “To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.”
Amen! Salvation is found ONLY in the precious name of Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God!!! Abraham told the rich man that if his 5 brothers would not listen to the Word of God and the preaching of God's Word, then nothing else would persuade them to get saved.
Are you saved? If so, then you are eternally secure and nothing can ever cause you to lose your salvation. Eternal Security is a PROMISE from God to every Christian. If saved, always saved!
