The Truth About Hell
By David J. Stewart
In FLAMING FIRE taking VENGEANCE on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord..." —2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9
There
are numerous Seventh-Day Adventist [SDA] websites, which appear in
the top of the search engines, all denying a literal place called
Hell.
Regardless of what men may say or think, the Word of God is abundantly clear in 2nd Thessalonians 1:8-9 and Revelation 20:11-15 that God will punish all Christ-rejecters in flames of fire forever. Do you know, those folks on the sinking Titanic in 1912 felt a sudden urgency for God. No doubt, many of them cried out in utter desperation to God; yet died in their sins without Christ and went to Hell. Many people come running to God the Father when disaster strikes; but the Word of God plainly warns us that there is ONLY one way to God the Father, and that is through God the Son, Jesus Christ. John 14:6... "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
If the righteous and the wicked go to the same place, then Psalm 9:17 would make no sense at all. Clearly, the righteous and the wicked DON'T go to the same place. In Matthew 25:46 we read concerning everlasting punishment . . .
The truth about Hell is that it does exist, and those who die in their sins without Jesus Christ will suffer the eternal vengeance of God there. If you don't believe this, then you don't believe the Bible. Matthew 23:14 speaks of the “greater damnation” . . .
If the wicked are merely annihilated, then how can there be greater damnation?
