Homeopathy verses Holistic Health
"Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain..." —Jeremiah 10:2,3
What is "holistic Health?" — Holistic health sees the body as an inter-related organism. Its goal is to treat the whole person (body, mind, and spirit) as opposed to merely treating a particular sickness. There terms we will use include:
Homeopathy: A method of treating disease with small amounts of remedies that, in large amounts in healthy people, produce symptoms similar to those being treated (a very effective form of natural medicine).
Allopathy: The usual method of treating disease with remedies that produce effects differing from those produced by the disease itself (i.e.., drug, cut, or burn the patient).
Basically, "holistic health" refers to an "approach" to healing a person; whereas "homeopathic" refers to a "method" of "treatment." Thus, the homeopathic treatment is based upon the holistic approach of healing the sick.
Allopathic Treatment is Frightening
Biblically, there is nothing wrong with treating the whole person. In fact, it is the proper way to treat an illness. So often medical doctors are nothing less than legalized drug-dealers, prescribing drugs and more drugs (many of which are dangerous). There have been umpteen news articles and books published revealing the dangers of modern prescription drugs.
Then there's the medical doctors themselves. Shockingly, doctors were responsible for 250,000 deaths in 2000. This is allopathic medicine, it treats your symptoms and NOT the underlying causes of your disease or ailment. Please don't misunderstand me... I thank God for doctors, but the pharmaceutical industry (controlled by the Rockefellers, et cetera) is out of control. If you want to survive as a medical doctor in today's world, then you have to play the game... DRUGS, DRUGS, DRUGS!!!
It's an injustice that so many people are being denied treatments to these diseases (like cancer) because of the greed of the medical and pharmaceutical industry. Read the frightening TRUTH. Natural remedies are perfectly Scriptural and a gift from God. Shockingly, the American public has had all sort of natural remedies deliberately hidden from then for decades. Read about how the FDA deliberately suppresses books on natural healing. Read FDA Accused of Suppressing Drug Safety Information. More evidence.
Homeopathic Treatment is Legitimate Medicine
Many Christians are confused concerning homeopathic medicine. Homeopathy is totally different from holistic philosophies. Homeopathic medicine simply deals with natural remedies. Homeopathy works! Our daughter was experiencing "petite mal seizures." The allopathic doctor (regular medical doctor) told her she'd never drive a car and would likely have seizures for the rest of her life. We were told to take our daughter to a neurologist who prescribed her the drug, Depakote. Her hair started falling out, she couldn't sleep anymore, and she had horrible stomach aches because of the Depakote drug. In desperation, we took our daughter to a licensed homeopathic doctor.
Our daughter was given a mineral therapy treatment. Within 6 weeks, her seizures went away permanently. I'm not saying that all homeopathic medicine works, or that all homeopathic doctors are good. I'm just saying that it worked for our daughter. I've heard many positive things from people who have gone to homeopathic doctors. My wife experienced tingling and numbness in her hands for years. The homeopathic doctor informed my wife that the aerosol perfumes she had been using all her life were likely the problem, and she recommended oil fragrances from the health store. Problem solved!
Though some homeopathic doctors definitely employ the occult philosophies of Yin-Yang, many do not. Homeopathy is method of treating disease with small amounts of remedies that, in large amounts in healthy people, produce symptoms similar to those being treated (a very effective form of natural medicine). For example: What do people do when they have the flu? They have teary eyes, sinus congestion, etc. A homeopathic solution would be to eat some hot peppers or onions. No kidding! When I get a cold, I eat Mexican food and hot-sauce. It works for me.
Of course, a homeopathic doctor isn't going to prescribe you to go to a Mexican restaurant, they're going to prescribe you with a natural medication. Again, I am not endorsing all homeopathic doctors. I am saying that some Christians have been misled as to what homeopathic medicine is all about. It is a legitimate form of natural healing. No regular drug-dealing doctor would have prescribed mineral therapy for our daughter...but it worked!
Is it Wrong for Christians to go to Homeopathic Doctors?
Not at all. Homeopathic treatment is different from holistic philosophies. Please read, A Christian's Guide to Homeopathy. The homeopathic TREATMENT of patients is not wrong in any way, just so long as false religion is not brought into the picture. The truth is that everywhere you go nowadays, you have to be alert for false doctrines and influences. You'd be totally shocked if you knew just how much heresy is being taught to Sunday school children all across America, week after week, by people who know literally nothing about the TRUTH of God's word (and those parents think their kids are in safe hands).
Many Sunday school teachers just ramble on with religious phraseologies, but have little understanding of the TRUTH. You need to be on guard. It's not the holistic doctor that scares me as much as some Christian's beliefs. The reason is because we tend to let our guard down when someone claims to be a "Christian." I actually heard a professed "Christian" woman tell a group of children that their birthday determines their gifts in life. Folks, that's satanic astrology!
Written by a committed Christian and homoeopath of many years experience this is a clear and well researched book that explains why Christians need have no fear of homoeopathy. It is also an excellent introduction to the scientific principles underlying homoeopathy. A book to be read by all Christians who have concerns about homoeopathy as a safe and appropriate treatment for themselves and their family. It is also invaluable for practitioners who may need to explain their therapy to Christian patients or groups.
When our daughter received homeopathic treatment, it was strictly of a medical nature. Now if you go to the same doctor with a stress disorder or hot-temper asking for help, you might be presented with occult doctrines (which could just as easily be said of ANY doctor). If you go to any "normal" doctor with an emotional problem, you're just going to be sent to a Godless psychiatrist, who will send you to a neurologist, who will just put you on drugs.
Many believers have been brainwashed into believing that all forms of natural healing are wrong. Folks, natural healing is the best way to go! The truth is that there are MANY natural cures which have been deliberately hidden from the public. If you want to know the truth, read G. Edward Griffin's startling documentary, World Without Cancer.
What is wrong is the massive unnecessary drugging and vaccinating of an entire nation with risky and unsafe drugs (and poisons like mercury). The truth is that people never ask what religion their doctor is when they're sick and need help. But you add the words "Natural healing" and people go bananas. Do you actually feel safer with the average drug-dealing doctor? I'd much rather take my chances with a homeopathic doctor. You need to get rid of the idea that all homeopathic doctors are occult witch doctors, they're not. There are unsaved doctors in every field of medicine.
The bottom line is that you need to assess your medical condition (or that of a loved one) and decide where they would receive the best treatment... at the cut, burn, and poison clinic?... or with a natural doctor who wants to find a permanent solution? Unfortunately, most insurance companies won't pay for you to visit a homeopathic doctor. Why? Because the mainstream medical industry is a conspiracy to cut, burn, and poison you (which rakes in hundreds-of-billions of dollars in profits every year).
The average Christian fails to realize that most of the hospitals in America are owned and operated by false religions... St. Elizabeth's... St. Joseph's... St. Mary... St. Jude... et cetera. Eighty-percent of all hospitals in America are Roman Catholic. Please don't misunderstand me, I am NOT condoning false religion. I am just saying that there are few options available when you need a doctor. If I had the choice, I would NEVER step foot into a Catholic hospital. But what do you do when you need immediate medical care, drive 10 extra miles to a Christian hospital? If you admit yourself into a Catholic hospital, then are you sponsoring a false religion? We must use common sense. There is a fine line between faith and foolishness. I surely am not advising you to listen to any New Age or Yin Yang garbage if you go to a homeopathic doctor. I am simply saying that there are some very capable doctors within the homeopathic field. I thank God for the doctor who helped our child. It was mineral therapy that healed our daughter. Our daughter was simply suffering from a mineral imbalance.
People are really something... the things they should believe on the internet they don't (like our government orchestrating 911); the things that people shouldn't believe, they do (like the myth that homeopathic medicine is quackery). I have found several "Christian" articles online criticizing homeopathy. I know first hand that homeopathy works and we were never presented with any occult philosophies. The same Christians who would criticize others for going to a homeopathic doctor should consider their hypocrisy every time they buy anything from store that sells: Hollywood videos, cigarettes, alcohol, devilish music, or birth control.
I've even found online articles written by professed "Christians" condemning chiropractors. Though chiropractors may not be able to help in some medical situations, they are very effective in others. Chiropractic is a legitimate form of healing, but it is only effective in appropriate situations. The exact same holds true for homeopathy. I have been to several chiropractors in my life and not once was I ever presented with occult material.
There are thousands of natural remedies that have absolutely nothing to do with occult practices. It is foolish for Christians to continue suffering or place themselves at the mercy of drug-dealing doctors, when there are natural cures available which do NOT require any participation in occultism.
Holistic Health and the Occult
Natural healing is acceptable using homeopathy, but holistic counseling or therapies (such as meditation) that involves the occult are certainly dangerous. Clearly, holistic principles that would lead a person into occult doctrines is wicked.
Holistic medicine operates on the theory that all reality is organically one. Everything in the universe is viewed as interrelated and interdependent. It is the basis of Hinduism and Buddhism, now taught in all colleges and universities in America that followed Einstein's "theory of relativity." It is called "Yin and Yang" in Chinese and will be found on the national flag of South Korea, as a symbol. Of course, these philosophies are of the devil and are NOT found in the Word of God. No Christian should ever seek the help of a doctor who is going to utilize such practices. All reality is NOT organically one.
Christians must NOT walk in the counsel of the ungodly (Psalm 1:1). I don't care if you go to an allopathic doctor, holistic doctor, or whatever doctor... you're going to be walking in the counsel of the ungodly if they're not born again Christians and they counsel you. The simple truth is that we shouldn't be counseling with ANYONE who is ungodly. God gave us men and women of God for a reason. Unfortunately, pastors aren't experts on healing the body. Medicine is a gift from God! When we need medical attention, we must wisely and prayerfully consider our options.
Holistic healing that employs occult doctrines is of the devil. No Christian should ever participate in such tampering of the soul. Just as Saul was foolish for consulting the witch of Endor, so are believers who dabble with occult practices such as astrology and Yoga. Speaking of Yoga. I realize that many people who go to Yoga classes don't do much more than merely exercise. And this is the big problem, people don't see the dark side of Yoga. There are even professed Christian who endorse Yoga because they think it's merely a form of exercise. For those who don't fully understand what Yoga is about, please read my book review on Kundalini Yoga. Yoga is just another lure into the occult New Age religion. By the way, Yoga is witchcraft!
The Dangers of Ungodly Advice
As an example: a woman considering a divorce went to a professional counselor for advice. The counselor told the woman that God made the marriage for people, and not people for the marriage. So the ungodly woman sinfully concluded that it was ok to divorce if the marriage wasn't working out. Sadly, that woman divorced her husband. That woman's name is Amy Grant...
Grant says in CCM that a counselor told her, "[God] didn't create this institution [of marriage] so He could just plug people into it. He provided this so that people could enjoy each other to the fullest." Grant herself adds: "[I]f you have two people that are not thriving healthily in a situation, I say remove the marriage. Let them heal."
Now Amy Grant didn't counsel with a holistic doctor, but the point I'm trying to make is clear... bad advice can come from many sources. Miss Grant foolishly listened to the advice of a marriage-wrecker! Amy Grant violated Psalm 1:1 by walking in the counsel of the ungodly. So use your head when you go to ANYONE for counseling.
By the way, some pastors may even give you ungodly advice. I wouldn't trust the advice of a lesbian pastor. Many pastors and their wives are sinfully encouraging divorce nowadays. The only true and reliable source of good counsel is the WORD OF GOD. Until you become familiar with the basic principles of God's Word, you will be blown about by every wind of doctrine (Ephesians 4:14). Be careful who you seek counsel from. Ultimately, you've got no one to blame for your own actions except yourself.
Demonic Influences
I received an e-mail from a teenager who wanted my opinion about a class he was considering taking in high school. The course was a psychology class. His mother really wanted him to take the class. He said he thought the class might be interesting, but wasn't sure of it was ok Biblically to participate in the class. I e-mailed him back and advised him NOT to take the class unless the Bible was going to be the source textbook. I explained to him that the class would be based upon humanism and worldly philosophies, NOT upon the Word of God. It's never ok to allow our young people to be brainwashed by the devil.
It's ok for a young man to go to trade school to learn a skill, but going to a heathen university is wrong because his mind WILL be influenced by worldly philosophies. Likewise, holistic health is based upon occult principles, homeopathic medicine certainly is NOT. A clear distinction needs to be made between the two. Going to a homeopathic doctor for a natural remedy is not only acceptable, but preferable.
