There
is NO greater spiritual curse in the world today than television.
Television has deteriorated into "hellivision," because of the cesspool of
filth and vomit which it produces. The picture to the rights speaks
volumes. With all the sex, violence, and crimes being glorified on TV,
no wonder America is going to Hell. The TV DESENSITIZES people to the
sinfulness of sin. In sharp contrast, the Apostle Paul said concerning
the Word of God in Romans 7:13...
"...But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful."
The Word of God makes our sins
EXCEEDINGLY sinful, and SENSITIZES us to our sins. Television itself
is not of the Devil; but 90% of what we see on TV today is godless
filth, secular philosophies, and blasphemy against God.
Moral Corruption Through Movies and TV
In the classic book, PAWNS IN THE GAME, William Guy Car states on page 127...
Few people realize the important part modern movies play in subverting youth away from their homes, their country, and their religion. Many movies show an hour of film in which the criminals and bad men and women do everything that is forbidden by our laws and moral code and devote one minute during which the law catches up with them, or they die because of their sins. Films taken of actual fighting durian the Mexican revolution in 1913 were shown in Galveston, Texas. The sight of seeing men killed in battle, or being dragged from their homes and slaughtered by revolutionaries caused women to scream and faint, and men to vomit. Public opinion caused the showings to be prohibited. To-day these scenes are shown on films advertised as "Children's Special" for Saturday afternoon performances. That is just one illustration of how the general public, and particularly the children, have been systematically hardened to accept the sight of violence and bloody death as normal. What a contrast from kids today, who see people die almost daily on television. Society is being conditioned for what's ahead--totalitarianism. It's no coincidence that we're seeing SWAT teams featured on TV, in major cities all across America, destroying people's homes, entering and hauling American citizens away like Nazi-fascist thugs. The public is being saturated with this type of activity, so it won't be so shocking when Christians and patriots are soon hauled away as terrorists, just as in the days of the Roman Empire. Saul in the Bible hauled Christians from their homes and killed them!!! These acts of darkness will soon come to America (John 16:2).
With the underlying Communist foundation in place, and the moral breakdown of the united States, it's just a short amount of time until we see the gates closing in around us, and the spikes coming out of the walls. Americans have been baited into a trap, by their own complacency and willing ignorance of the truth. At present, the federal debt is over $9,000,000,000,000!!! We are headed for imminent national bankruptcy, and U.N. domination! National ID cards will be mandatory next year, because you won't be able to do business or travel without one. How near the mark of the beast must be!
The greatest corrupter of America's youth is TV! Cartoons are one of the most deceitful tools used by Satan today. Cartoons have traditionally been considered appropriate for children; thus, many parents today don't see the harm in certain cartoons. There is much suggestiveness, sexuality, rock-n-roll music, and subversive messages in today's cartoons. Parents would be wise to find other activities for their family. It's no coincidence that mothers are being forced into the workplace, while their kids are being brainwashed by hellivision.

Television Verses Holy Living
1st peter 1:16 states, "Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy." Do we live "holy" today, i.e., morally right? What do professed Christians think about in the darkness of their imaginations? What do they watch on the hellivision and unholywood (or Hollyweird)? What do they listen to when no one is around? Could their love for the world affect their ability to overcome sin? Yes! Could it hinder their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? Yes! James 4:4 says, Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God." Are you a friend of the world or of God?
Ezekiel 8:8-10,12 state...
"Then said he unto me, Son of man, dig now in the wall: and when I had digged in the wall, behold a door. And he said unto me, Go in, and behold the wicked abominations that they do here. So I went in and saw; and behold every form of creeping things, and abominable beasts, and all the idols of the house of Israel, pourtrayed [or displayed?] upon the wall [or tv?] round about. Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what THE ANCIENTS [supposed spiritual leaders] of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, the LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth."
The following Scriptures describe hellivision and unholywood very accurately...
Romans 1:28-32 state...
"And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful."
Verse 32 is the clincher for the professed Christian that enjoys watching such things--
Who KNOWING the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, BUT HAVE PLEASURE IN THEM THAT DO THEM.
People love to watch other people commit sin, and have pleasure "in them that do them." This is evidence of the utter rot and wickedness rooted in man's corrupt nature. We are all woeful sinners (Romans 3:10,19-23). The bottom line is that when we participate as willing observers, we are having pleasure in sinners who are sinning. This is an abomination to the Lord Jesus Christ! Galatians 5:19-21 testifies AGAINST the evil works that people ENJOY on the hellivision...
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall NOT inherit the kingdom of God."
Listen to the solemn words of the Apostle Paul in 1st Corinthians 6:9-11...
"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such WERE some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God."
When you enjoy these things, you are walking in the flesh. When you get mad at those who tell you the truth, it shows you are walking in the flesh. And, "if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live" (Romans 8:13). More and more people today (adults and children) are being influenced by demons, and most don't even realize it. Demons are spirits. TV is a spiritual medium through which the devil can inspire people to commit sin. I once heard an old black preacher say...
"Movies don't make people commit adultery. Adulterous people make adulterous movies that inspire adulterous people to commit adultery."
Now, that's deeply profound, and yet simple. Movies don't make people commit murder. Murderous people make murderous movies to inspire murderous people to commit murder. Satan loves the TV, because it is his primary weapon against Christianity. Hellivision, worldly education, and other forms of media, are all channels through which Satan influences people for evil (2nd Corinthians 4:4).
Either the BIBLE will keep us from sin; or else
SIN will keep us from the Bible. Holy living is not just for
preachers and fulltime Christian workers, it's for every believer who names
the precious name of Jesus. Although no one can live perfect in this
sinful flesh that continually wars against the Spirit of God, we can yield
ourselves to God's Spirit, through prayer and searching the Scriptures, to
strengthen us to live for the Lord. No believer can live the Christian
life in his or her own strength. God doesn't want to "help us"
live the Christian life; but rather, God wants to live the Christian life
THROUGH us, if we will obediently yield ourselves to the leading of the Holy
Spirit. This is what the Bible means when it commands us to... "Walk
in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh"
(Galatians 5:16). Carefully notice that we are to walk in God's Spirit
(capital "S"), and not our own spirit. New Agers talk a lot about the
"spirit," but they are NEVER speaking of the Holy Spirit of God. New
Age is of the Devil, and focuses on self-spiritual awareness; rather than
upon the Holy Spirit of God.
Conclusion
Satan is a master deceiver (2nd Corinthians 11:13-14), and he knows better than any human being how to do magic, perform illusions, and deceive people. Things are often not as they appear to be. Satan is using the TV today to brainwash the masses, to distort the truth with deliberate lies, misinformation, and lying propaganda.
Galatians 5:17-21 states...
"For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall NOT inherit the kingdom of God."
The TV glorifies ALL of these sins. These are all horrible sins, that keep people out of Heaven, as does ALL sin; BUT, thank God for the literal precious blood of Jesus Christ that washes our sins away forever (1st Peter 1:18,19). James 2:10 states that even ONE SIN is enough to keep a person from entering into Heaven; thus, you and I need a Savior. When we believe on Jesus Christ for salvation, all of our sins are forgiven, and we are made clean through the blood of Christ (2nd Corinthians 5:21). Romans 4:5 wonderfully states... "But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." The only sin which can keep you out of Heaven is unbelief. If you realize that you are a GUILTY sinner (Romans 3:19), under the condemnation of God's holy Law (Romans 6:23), justly deserving of Hellfire (2nd Thessalonians 1:8,9; Revelation 20:11-15), and you'll simply believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior (Acts 16:31), to forgive those sins by His shed blood (1st John 1:7), then you will be saved (Romans 10:13).
