An
"icon" is defined as a "visual representation of something else." The
icons which Catholics pray to are representations of idols. Whether icon
or idol, it is idolatry. Catholics pray to "icons" in disobedience to
the Word of God. Sadly, devout Catholics defend their icon worship.

Such nonsense is not taught in the Bible. God NEVER instructed us to pray with icons. God never asked us to pray in front of a statue of Mary. God never asked us to pray with any object. It is wicked for anyone to teach that God permits us to pray with icons or idols. The Bible couldn't be clearer on the matter...
"And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them." -Psalm 106:36
"They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols." -Isaiah 45:16
Ezekiel
14:3 teaches that idolatry is rooted within the heart, "Son of man, these men
have set up their idols in their heart, and put the
stumblingblock of their iniquity before their face: should I be enquired of at
all by them?"
It is utter hypocrisy for Catholics to claim that they don't worship or pray to Mother Mary. Take a look at the photo to the left. If these folks are not worshipping Mary, then what are they doing? There is NOT one verse in the entire Word of God which directs us to pray in the presence of any statue, picture, icon, or object.
The honest truth is that Catholics...whether Roman Catholics, Greek Orthodox Catholics, or Russian Orthodox Catholics...are all IDOLATERS!!! Idolatry is a wicked sin!
Please notice in Ezekiel 30:13 that God condemned the IMAGES of the wicked, "Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also destroy the idols, and I will cause their images to cease out of Noph..." Do you think God feels any different about the icons of Catholicism than He did about the images of Egypt? No! God hates idols, icons, images, and all other forms of idolatry. Hell will be hot for all those who choose to reject Jesus Christ as Saviour in exchange for a false religion of idol and icon worship.
Please read the following Scripture carefully while looking at the above photo again, "What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?" -Habakkuk 2:18. Trusting in idols is a quick road to Hell and damnation. Do not be deceived friend...bowing before a statue is idolatry, no matter how you try to justify it.
Catholicism is a lie of the devil. If I didn't sincerely care about people, then I wouldn't take the time to WARN you. The Catholic religion is all a bunch of Satanic lies based upon traditions and ridiculous manipulations of the Word of God. I plead with you as a friend, obey the Bible by turning to the Lord Jesus Christ in faith and forsaking the Mother of Harlots. The Great Whore of the Catholic Church will take you to hell with them if you're foolish enough to follow them. Don't do it. Salvation is NOT found in a religion, but in a Person--the Lord Jesus Christ! You need Christianity friend, NOT churchianity.
