as a follow on entry on the helicopter industry front. I was reading one of the magazines I picked up at the 05 HAI EXPO, a mainstream Rotorcraft publication "VERTICAL" Feb-March 05, on page 24 is this article about the Glendale, CA PD ordering this STC (Supplemental Type Certificate, approved and certified add-on) Helicopter External Seating/Cargo Platform, as pictured for "black storm-trooper like" police to have a 'firing position.' There is NO OTHER REASON to seat personnel exterior to a police helicopter, than as the as photo illustrated in the article. I have added the magazine cover to the image, and an insert of a photo I took at the HAI EXPO 05, of a very similar 'army armed recon helicopter' that also looks very 'police/swat' in nature, when compared to the MD520 the Huntington Beach Police had at the same show.
