Actors always say that filming love scenes is unavoidably awkward. Just imagine trying to replicate intimacy with a virtual stranger while cameras roll, lights shine down and the director shouts out instructions. Now imagine the same situation, except it's not a stranger but your best friend, and your own spouse is directing you both.
That's the situation Kate Winslet found herself in while shooting her upcoming film Revolutionary Road. It's the first time she has worked with Leonardo DiCaprio since Titanic became the highest-grossing film of all time a decade ago. While the two have remained close in the intervening years, it took this drama about a failing marriage in 1960s suburbia to get them on the screen as a couple again.
"We knew that if we were going to do something again, it had to be something big and emotional," Winslet told Entertainment Weekly. She had read the acclaimed novel by Richard Yates years ago and pushed the film version into existence herself. Winslet felt that not only was it the right movie to reunite with DiCaprio, but also the chance to work for the first time with her husband, Academy Award-winning director Sam Mendes.
Of course, making a film with your long-time friend and your husband of five years can create awkward moments, as Winslet discovered when it was time to shoot an explicit love scene.
It is sinful for any man and woman who are not married to virtually "make love." No wonder the divorce rate is so high in Hollywood (and across America because of the evil influence of such movies). It is wickedness! I once heard an old black preacher make a good statement... "Adulterous people watch adulterous movies made by adulterous producers and actors which inspired them to commit adultery." That is so true.
To no surprise, Kate Winslet divorced her first husband, assistant film director Jim Threapleton, after just 3-years of marriage. Now she's married to another film director, Sam Mendes. God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Jeremiah 3:20 warns...
"Surely as a wife treacherously departeth from her husband, so have ye dealt treacherously with me, O house of Israel, saith the LORD." —Jeremiah 3:20
Do NOT foolishly think that God takes divorce lightly. It is a woeful sin. It is not surprising to me that Kate Winslet has no qualms about jumping naked into a bed with another man, on camera in front of her new husband, to virtually "make love"? This is the perverted way of Hollywood, Broadway, Las Vegas and a nation that has turned it's back against God. The mighty Bible-scholar, J. Vernon McGee, correctly termed the Hollywood lifestyle as "Progressive Adultery."

A serious look at the role of celebrity marriage (divorce) in our culture

Diamonds are forever - celebrity marriages are not. Often times when celebrities tie the knot, that sparkling rock on the ring finger is nothing more than a fleeting symbol of a doomed union under the scrutiny of paparazzi and adoring fans. The divorce rate in the United States has reached 50 percent, and while an exact statistic is not available, the divorce rate in Hollywood is certainly higher. When celebrities marry, the question is always "How long is it really going to last?"
The recent weeks and months have brought a slew of high-profile celebrity divorces, the most recent being that of Britney Spears and the newly christened "FedEx." The message that these celebrity divorces is sending is that marriage is temporary, happiness can be found with someone else and moments of hardship can be evaded instead of confronted.
This message is most evident among those celebrities with short or multiple marriages. Spears' short-lived first marriage to the non-"Seinfeld" Jason Alexander lasted a mere 55 hours. The childhood friends wed in Las Vegas as a joke only to get it annulled shortly thereafter. The pop princess, a role model to thousands of young girls, showed a blatant disrespect to the institution of marriage and displayed little regret for her actions.
In a slightly longer marriage, Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney married after a four-month courtship, but Zellweger annulled the marriage 128 days later, citing "fraud" on Chesney's part. The marriage between the Oscar winner and the country superstar is an example of celebrities marrying too quickly, only to go for the easy fix when they realize they do not know each other as well as they thought they did. This irresponsibility in choosing a spouse often leads to multiple marriages. Think Jennifer Lopez (three marriages), Nicolas Cage (three marriages), Billy Bob Thornton (five marriages) and most infamously, Elizabeth Taylor (eight marriages).
Of course, the death knell of many Hollywood marriages is a cheating spouse. Infidelity is sad, tragic and unacceptable. However, celebrity couples rarely stay together when one is caught cheating. Nick Lachey, Ali Landry, Denise Richards and Jennifer Aniston all left their respective spouses after reported infidelity. Most recently and shockingly, Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe announced their separation after reports surfaced that Phillippe carried on an affair with Australian actress Abbie Cornish on the set of their upcoming movie "Stop-Loss."
Britney Spears is a disgrace to
humanity. She was married for a mere 55-hours before calling it quits. This
is America today, and it wreaks with immoral rot! Hollywood is a cesspool of
iniquity.
The Sanctity of Marriage
When actors hop into bed to "make love" on camera for the world to lust upon—they cheapen, desecrate and diminish the sanctity of marriage. Marriage is holy. No man should kiss, caress, hold and touch any woman other than his own wife. No woman should kiss, caress, hold and touch any man other than her own husband. These actors strip naked, passionately rub their bodies together, indulge in a kissing frenzy, grab each other in private places and then have the audacity to claim it is "just acting." No Sir, it is utter wickedness and God absolutely HATES it!!!
Married couples ought to keep themselves only for their spouse, and not pretend to fornicate or commit adultery with strangers just to make filthy lucre. Can you imagine... people pretending to commit adultery for money? Obviously there is NO respect in Hollywood for God, nor for the Bible, nor for the sacredness of marriage, nor for the wholesomeness of the family, nor for decency, nor for honoring one's marriage vows, nor for doing the right thing. Hollywood is saturated with a bunch of spoiled, immoral, selfish, self-centered, self-righteous, rich brats who are living a big lie, all bound for destruction on the Highway to Hell. No thanks, you can have Hollywood, just give me Jesus!!!

Adultery is Adultery is Adultery!
God is a jealous God and would never tolerate anyone virtually worshipping another god. Hollywood actors are like Catholics who bow, adore, praise, and idolize Mary; but then claim they do not worship her. Right! Every Rosary contains 53 "Hail Marys," without any recognition of the Lord Jesus Christ (Who shed His precious blood to pay for our sins). Catholics do worship Mary, teaching that she was born without a sin-nature, lived a sinless life, remained a perpetual virgin, and then was bodily assumed into Heaven. Yet, the Bible (even the Catholic Douay Bible) doesn't teach any of that nonsense. Catholics are in denial of their wickedness, as are Hollywood actors who strip naked, jump into bed to film sex scenes, and then say... "What have I done?" Proverb 30:20 states...
"Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness."
Whether it be actual adultery, virtual
adultery, or adultery of the mind—It is all the same in God's eyes... "But
I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath
committed adultery with her already in his heart" (Matthew 5:28).
Kate Winslet and
Leonardo DiCaprio are adulterers in God's eyes. They
are not married and ought not act like they are by "making love"
(lust) in a Hollywood studio for the world to gaze upon.
I am not being judgmental; I am
simply taking a Christian stand against the filthy immoral rot that oozes
out of Hollywood like sewage from a septic pipe (Ephesians 5:11).

just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Hollywood's affair with the
Devil.
America's Moral Anesthesia
The Apostle Paul said that the Word of God, i.e., the Law of God, made his sins become exceedingly sinful... "that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful" (Romans 7:13). The hellivision (television) does the exact opposite—it DESENSITIZES people to the awfulness of sin! We have become insensitive as a nation—calloused concerning the evils of abortion, the perversion of homosexuality, the smut of pornography, the deadliness of booze, the disease of fornication, the woes of gambling, the treason of our leaders in Washington, the shamefulness of immodestly clothed women, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera.
Consequently, American society has become extremely tolerant of sin, which is why the evils of abortion are never mentioned on TV. We see Sarah McLaughlin begging for money on TV (to the tune of "In The Arms Of The Angel") for needy cats and dogs; while 5,000 human babies are needlessly and brutally murdered every single day in the United States without notice. It is evil. Save the whales; murder the children! Woe unto America!
What is wrong with the American people? If most of the American people ever had a second thought, they'd be geniuses. I mean, consider Florida's crazy laws, where horses have more rights than humans. In a nation that boasts of it's nuclear weaponry, space program and advanced medical technology; we can't even keep illegal drugs, booze and cigarettes out of the hands of our youth, nor can we educate them. We can land a robot on Marrs; but we can't provide healthcare to our elderly. Think about that. Something is seriously wrong with the United States (or should I say, Divided States?).
Our criminal leaders in
Washington have already spent over $1,000,000,000,000 to invade Iraq (to
steal their
oil); yet over one million U.S. citizens lost their homes last year. Do
the math... one trillion dollars divided by one million people equals one
million dollars PER home-owner who lost their homes. That trillion dollars
could have saved 4,000,000 American homes valued at $250,000 each from
foreclosure!!! While our nation's borders remain wide open; U.S. citizens
are being harassed,
breast groped and treated like garbage at airports all across America.
Who's kidding who? The America people are dooming their children and
grandchildren into slavery at the mercy of a forming
Godless
Global Communist Totalitarian Police State. Meanwhile, the average
America is more concerned about the latest Hollywood bed-scene, or the
latest video-game system, or the latest electronic MP3 gadget, or the
hottest new album. So sad.
Conclusion
We've lost our backbone (moral character) as a nation. Our day of reckoning is fast approaching in America. God will not be mocked. Sin City Las Vegas is nothing short of shaking our fists at God and challenging Him. America is by large a selfish, rotten, sin-loving, party-crazed nation of fools. Prepare for the worst.
