About Drinking Beer

It doesn't take much
Actually, a driver can be impaired with a
U.S. blood-alcohol level as low as .03.
When you drink alcohol, it goes straight from the stomach to the
bloodstream. Alcohol can be detected in the blood as fast as five
minutes after drinking, and its effects -- most obvious in the central
nervous system -- peak in about 30 to 45 minutes.
Alcohol depresses the central nervous system which, in turn, impairs
motor function, motor performance, speech and eye movements. These
skills are not only slowed down, they are performed more inaccurately.
Alcohol also affects the ability to think and reason clearly. -SOURCE
Do you see the great DECEPTION of the .08
BAC legal limit? At just .05 BAC, the human body is already
experiencing impairment of coordination. This is serious folks!
What is wrong with our legislatures? Are they brain dead?
Get this ... our very SAME government which sets the BAC legal limit at
.08, also states the following...
"The National
Highway Traffic Safety Administration's (NHTSA) position on the relationship
between blood alcohol concentration and driving is that driving performance
degrades after just one drink."

Am I missing something here? If the NHTSA (our
government) admits that even ONE ALCOHOLIC DRINK degrades a person's driving
performance, then why in the name of common sense doesn't our government's
lawmakers lower the BAC to equate to ONE DRINK? Tragically, our
government leaders are playing games with people's lives, and people ARE
DYING!

BAC of 0.02% at many U.S. companies will require that an
employee be relieved of duty for 24 hours and at 0.04 they
will be fired. In
an organization with a "zero-tolerance" policy as regards
alcohol use, you will be fired if you test at 0.001% (which is
less than 0.010%) |

Functioning

Walking, speech, and hand movements clumsy. Blurred,

operating ability impaired. Chance of accident is greatly
increased by up to 300% or more.

Functioning and
judgment very seriously affected. Responses greatly
slowed. Behavior greatly affected. Very high risk of accident.
In most U.S. States, with a BAC of .08% or higher, you will be
arrested if driving a car.

As anyone can clearly see from the chart above,
having even ONE 12oz. DRINK of beer can cause a person weighing over 200 LBS.
to have a BAC of up to .05!!! What strikes me as strange, and a definite
double-standard, is that many companies will fire an employee who comes to
work with a BAC of .04% or more; but the legal system won't do anything to
punish that person for driving under the influence until their BAC hits .08.
Why the double-standard? Why are private companies more concerned about
their employees than our government's lawmakers are about it's own people who
entrusted them to power? Something smells rotten in Washington!

Drunk Driving is
No Accident!

Every year millions of innocent people are murdered by drunk drivers around
the world. Such alcohol related fatalities are often referred to as
“accidents.”
May I say, drunk-driving
is no accident. People CHOOSE to drink alcohol. By choosing to consume the
drug alcohol, they are wilfully risking the chances of getting buzzed,
toasted, drunk... whatever you want to call it.
If you wilfully choose to
consume alcohol, then you are willfully engaging in a game of Russian
Roulette. Proverb 20:1 and 17, “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging:
and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise. ... Bread of deceit is sweet
to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.” The
Bible warns about the deceptive nature of booze, i.e., STRONG DRINK.
By Biblical standards, beer is considered strong drink, because it
intoxicates the drinker after just a few drinks.
Alcohol is something
better left alone. With all the refreshments available, there is no need to
drink beer. People make all sorts of lame excuses to drink beer... calling
it medicine, nutrition, a relaxant; but beer is dangerous to consume!
