Mothers Need to Fight Against Booze!
By David J. Stewart
Mothers Against Drunk Drivers [MADD] mean well, but they are kidding themselves by only addressing the issue of drunk DRIVERS. Stop living in denial about booze!
I'm so sick and tired of hearing people say not to drink and drive. That's retarded! The answer is don't drink booze at all! Why play Russian Roulette?
It is a deception to think that only addressing drunk driving is going to stop the killing. Despite all of the hype and warnings about “drinking responsibly” from the booze industry, alcohol related traffic deaths only dropped by a whopping 3 percent from 1997 to 2007.
There's absolutely no reason for anyone to drink booze in America. None! Americans have proven themselves to be an irresponsible group of pleasure seekers, arrogant idiots and blame-shifters. The killing continues! Which of your loved ones will be next?
The tragic truth is that booze consumption is an inherent part of American culture, a social activity done for recreation, which has cost millions of American lives since prohibition ended in the 1930's.
It is not enough for parents to address drunk drivers. As my pastor use to wisely say, “You can't take two drinks if you don't take the first.” Amen! The best way to prevent drunk driving is not to start drinking alcohol at all.
The best approach is abstinence. MADD sends the wrong message when they encourage young people to curb their drinking. The very nature of alcohol consumption is to “party.” It doesn't help when you have heathen singers like Toby Keith, who shamelessly sing songs like GET DRUNK AND BE SOMEBODY!
Sadly, teens are getting drunk and dying!
MADD? How about GADD... God Against Drunk Drivers! Or how about FADD... Fathers Against Drunk Drivers? How about MAB... Mothers Against Booze! Or perhaps MOB... Mother's Opposing Booze! Where are the fathers, churches and pastors? Sadly, many of the fathers are the drunks. The message being sent to teenagers today is idiotic, i.e., it's ok to consume alcohol but don't get drunk. It just doesn't work that way folks!
People who socially drink do so to have a good time, and a good time they will have. The message to teenagers ought to be abstinence. Beer is liquid Devil. Alcohol is a dangerous drug like crack cocaine. In fact, alcohol is far more dangerous because society doesn't recognize it as an evil, nor the ease by which a person can become dangerously intoxicated. By very definition, alcohol is a narcotic, which makes it alarmingly dangerous. Yet, youth go out and party, party, party. We hear in the news every day about the consequences of this woeful evil in American society.
American society idolizes living in sin—gambling, boozing, nudity, cursing, dirty dancing, fornicating, and so forth. America's kids are just following in their parent's footsteps. Society's answer is abortion clinics in every public school, putting lithium in the drinking water to prevent suicide and silencing the Christians.
The number one drug problem in our nation is alcohol. According to a report by the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, there is compelling evidence “that alcohol must finally become a primary target in America’s so-called ‘war on drugs.’” Nearly half of all traffic deaths are alcohol-related. Drunk drivers are eight times more likely than sober drivers to have a fatal crash. Over 10 million adults show symptoms of alcoholism and 7.2 million more are alcohol abusers. See Alcohol Statistics.
The above picture speaks 1,000 words. The beer industry hypocritically tells teens not to drink alcohol until they are 21, while those same companies saturate American culture with booze, booze, booze! Consequently, underaged drinking is an epidemic problem in America!
