First, we see that living godly in Christ Jesus will bring afflictions and persecution. It's unavoidable...
2nd Timothy 3:11-13, “Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”
Living godly means living like God (and Jesus Christ is almighty God in the flesh). Philippians 2:5, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” Jesus in His earthly life gave us an example to follow. We ought to exemplify Jesus in our daily walk, living godly in Christ Jesus.
God is against sin, and He hates it, and he commands those who love Him to hate it too (Psalms 97:10). Any man who says he loves God, but doesn't hate sin is a liar. Same-sex marriage is a horrible sin. All sin is horrible and God hates it all. We are living in an evil generation that is daring enough to actually claim that God approves of sin. They say that God created Adam and Eve naked, so pornography is acceptable with God. They don't tell you that Adam and Eve were the only two people on the planet!They say that homosexuality is a form of love, and since God is love, then it must be acceptable with God. After all, didn't God call His creation “very good?” (Genesis 1:31). But they are twisting the Scriptures. They don't tell you that it was OUR sins which necessitated the sacrificial death of the Lamb of God upon the cross. “Jesus shed His blood for our redemption. But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.”

Second, the Bible foretold that evil men and seducers would become worse and worse over time...
2nd Timothy 3:13, “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
For those of you familiar with Computer Science at all, the Greek language compared to the English, would be like Binary programming language compared to C++ or Visual Basic. Binary is all 1's and 0's and is the most elementary and powerful of all the software programming languages. C++ is powerful, but is still a mid-level programming language, not capable of the things you could achieve with Binary (which only a total computer geek would know). It's incredible when you realize that everything happening on your computer is caused by billions of 1's and 01's, being used as logic gates to make things happen. God is truly amazing!!!
I said that to show you how awesome the Greek language truly is. Although the English language only has one word for “hell,” there are three different Greek words in the Bible for Hell (Hades, Tartarus and Gehenna). Anyway, the Greek word for was in 2nd Timothy 3:13 is very important. God always chooses particular words for a particular reasons. Nothing is ever by coincidence with God. Everything happens for a divine reason. The Greek word for “wax” is “uprokoptto” and means “to drive forward (as if by beating), that is, (figuratively and intransitively) to advance (in amount, to grow; in time, to be well along).” The word refers to the organization of evil in the world.
Literally, we could apply this to the New World Order, which is evil to the core, and from generation to generation has been driving forward, becoming more fierce, taking more control of the world's nations by stealth and by force. The Bible foretold that the wickedness of the world would become more established as each generation passed, and so it is today. There are many evil agendas plaguing our nation in America; namely, feminism, same-sex marriage, abortion, and others. Men are becoming more deceptive in every area of life: religion, newsmedia, business, government, et cetera. And the Bible says that these deceptive people are likewise being deceived themselves, by Satan and by the same system by which they deceive the masses.

Third, Timothy was taught the Bible from a very early age, which made him wise unto salvation by faith in Christ Jesus, that is, he learned about THE GOSPEL from reading the Word of God...
2nd Timothy 3:14-17, “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.”
Many Bible scholars today think the 53 (47 men did the actual work of translating) translators of the King James Bible could have done better. I disagree, but what do I know? What does anybody know? I trust the judgment of 53 scholars more than myself or one man today (over 400 years later. The King James Bible was completed in 1611 after 7-years of intense labor.
Every child ought to be taught the inspired Words of God. The removal of the Bible from America's classrooms in 1963 by a Godless U.S. Supreme Court was the death knell of our nation.
I-CHABOD
Our nation ought to be renamed to “I-Chabod.” That's an interesting name. I'd often heard the term but never really knew what it meant.
So recently I studied the what I-Chabod means and here's what I learned. Israel had done evil in the sight of the Lord.
The book of Judges covers a time period of about 300 years from 1,370 BC to 1, 075 BC). The book of 1st Samuel (1110 BC to 1,025 BC) begins during the last 35 years of the book of Judges.
There was no king in the land, so God raised up men and women of God to judge (lead) the people; hence the name Judges...
Judges 2:12, “And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.”
I'll get back to the time of the Judges in a moment, but first what does I-Chabod mean? Because of Israel's wickedness, God gave them into the hands of their enemies, the Philistines. The Jews were arrogant (like sinful Americans today), rejoicing in the streets when the Ark of God was paraded down the street. They thought they were invincible because they possessed the Ark of the God (just like Americans think they're invincible to destruction), but then the Philistines conquered Israel and stole the Ark of the Covenant. The prophet Eli's two sons were slain in the battle. 30,000 Jewish soldiers (footmen) died in the battle. When Eli heard that the Ark of Go was gone, he fell back and broke his neck (he was obese).
Eli's daughter-in-law had just given birth to a son, and the other women tried to encouraged her in the death of her husband and father-in-law (Eli). Hey, you have a new son! She mourned because the Ark of God was gone and named her child, I-Chabod, meaning, THE GLORY OF THE LORD HAS DEPARTED!!!
1st Samuel 4:20-21, “And about the time of her death the women that stood by her said unto her, Fear not; for thou hast born a son. But she answered not, neither did she regard it. And she named the child I-chabod, saying, The glory is departed from Israel: because the ark of God was taken, and because of her father in law and her husband.”
God dwelt amongst the people in the Old Testament in the Ark of the Covenant (or the Ark of God as it was called), and later God dwelt in Solomon's temple when it was finished. Today, God dwells in the body of each and every Christian believer (1st Corinthians 3:16-17). That's why every believer ought to glorify God, and be very careful, about how we display and take care of our body. To abuse one's body is to abuse God's temple!!! Oh, how privileged we truly are to have God's presence within our soul as His children. Amen!!!
I-chabod is written over the door's of America's churches, who have forsaken the Lord for false religion. We have swapped out our inspired King James Bible for the deception of the perverted New International Version (and all modern corrupted Bible versions). I-chabod is written on all modern Bibles!!! I-chabod is written on all apostate churches, who these days teach psychology instead of the Doctrine of Christ. I-chabod is written across today's apostate Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) that glorifies religion and relationships instead of the precious Lord Jesus Christ and Biblical truth!!! I-chabod is written across our nation, for we have forsaken the God of the Bible. Listen to how the book of Judges parallels America's wickedness today in 2012...
Judges 2:16-17, “Nevertheless the LORD raised up judges, which delivered them out of the hand of those that spoiled them. And yet they would not hearken unto their judges, but they went a whoring after other gods, and bowed themselves unto them: they turned quickly out of the way which their fathers walked in, obeying the commandments of the LORD; but they did not so.”
Judges 2:19-20,“ And it came to pass, when the judge was dead, that they returned, and corrupted themselves more than their fathers, in following other gods to serve them, and to bow down unto them; they ceased not from their own doings, nor from their stubborn way. And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my covenant which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice.”
I love the Bible, for it is a Lamp unto my feet as Psalms 119:105 teaches. Amen! Every Christian should live (abide) in the Scriptures (John 15:1-7). In John 5:39 Jesus commanded for every believer to SEARCH THE SCRIPTURES!!! We are on the winning side in Jesus Christ!!! Heaven is our eternal home!!! Let's not live where the dark world lives. Christians are not to fellowship with darkness or those who live in darkness (2nd Corinthians 6:14-17). God is always correct!!!
People come and go, but God is always the same! I'm going to side with the Bible on every issue. I only use the beloved King James Bible, because all other modern versions have been corrupted. Thank you Lord for your precious Words!
