My child cries when I say the mask must stay on in some situations, so I can take care of some necessities. How do you think it feels to tell your kids the dreams they have for their future, and have worked so hard for, have been canceled along with their sports prakctice, dance class, heck even regular school. Thousands of people are physically shaking at night, not because they feel they can't go grab a coffee but because they don't know if they'll be able to pay the gas bill at the end of the month. They were forced to make a choice they couldn't choose not to make. I'm sincerely sorry that the convoy makes you cry. Nobody wants that and nobody takes any pleasure in seeing you shake. However, please, consider the honking the joint cry of the people of this country who don't share your privilege. We are shaking too. Our children are crying. Our grandparents are crying. Tragically, too many of us, including children, have opted to never cry again and left because they couldn't take the pressure of the restrictions. Too many of us left completely alone, in isolation, with nobody there to console them during the scariest anticipation we will all face one day. This needs to stop. It must stop.
Unlike you, when we address the people that make us shake and cry, we get slapped with more mandates and restrictions. You have the choice to stop living in fear, step out, speak with a neighbor, there are plenty who understand the crisis and welcome the convoy. Then, maybe, step it up and try speaking with one of the drivers. You will find they are kind, friendly, well meaning people. As a matter of fact, they are the kind of people that will share their coffee with you, give you the winter coat of their back, and even drive across the country to protect your rights when someone stomps on them, regardless of whether you realize it or not. ❤🤗
