Letter from another Trucker:
I'm sure y'all have heard just about enough from me today - HOWEVER, we all need to see the TRUTH!
Today has been something along the lines of a dream... A day of the almighty FREEDOM that we, as a Nation are fighting for!
When we arrived at the Flying J in Wyoming, Ontario at 8am, we were met by an unbelievable sight of semis, cars, pickups, service trucks, more Canadian Flags than one could count. As we are in the lineup, a rig that was parked all night wouldn't start, his batteries were too low. I offered the driver help and get him going within minutes.... He offered to "pay me".. I asked him to pay-it-forward! The road was lined with supporters as the Convoy headed out to Highway 402. As we approached the first overpass, it was FULL of happiness, love and support!!!
Highway 402 made its way to Highway 401, then Highbury Rd to the Flying J. This was absolutely UNBELIEVABLE - people, vehicles, flags of all shapes and sizes, handmade signs and more. The level of love and support for the Freedom Convoy is beyond measurable. As we rolled in, volunteers were handing us bags of food, snacks and drinks.
We made new friends along the way with every mile behind us. People passing us would offer a wave, thumbs up, a honk or a little bit of "all of the above". We only seen 1 4-wheeler give a thumbs down.
Once we made it to Drumbo (our next stop), the Convoy was SO BIG, we couldn't even stop, there was simply not enough room.
We made a special "off route" stop just East of Woodstock to visit Grandma Kathy.
We make it to Guelph and pull off for a quick stretch and find our longtime friend, Captain Nick Oberemok. We were back on the road to find that the Convoy hadn't fully past us yet.
The 401 through the GTA (Toronto) had EVERY SINGLE LED sign reading " Truck CONVOY in progress".... SO much nicer to see than the previous messages.
We push on through the GTA and into Port Hope where the weather decided to turn and become a Winter Wonderland... Port Hope was the next scheduled stop. We pulled into a welcoming that had us all in awe... The only thing I can relate this feeling to was back in high school during a Friday night football game....
We were greeted by dozens of volunteers that check in on us, making sure we were good, needed ANYTHING or were hungry... As we proceeded down the "welcome line", we are handed bags of food (sandwiches, snacks, fruit, drinks, etc).... I couldn't believe it.. THIS IS OUR CANADA 🇨🇦!!
We are asked to pull ahead again and are handed another bag of toiletries... Including, socks, hats, gloves, lotion, advil, wipes - AND every bag had a hand written note with it.. 😢 My goodness... I'm no softy but this got me!!
An amazing friend that has been running with us didn't plan on going past London but being a Canadian Vet and couldn't believe the support, he went a little further and further and is headed to OTTAWA! The trouble is, he didn't pack for the trip nor have cold weather clothes with him - not an issue at all, the volunteers in Port Hope had supplied him with EVERYTHING he needed!
THIS IS OUR CANADA 🇨🇦!!
Why are we doing this?
We are fighting for FREEDOM!
Freedom from MANDATES, Government overthrow of power, etc.!
Today we were just doing "our thing" and my phone was going CRAZY with love and support from countless friends from around the world!
"THANK YOU" simply doesn't cut it for the support behind us, let alone this FREEDOM CONVOY!!
Thank You to everyone that has supported us on this journey with supplies, coffee, lunch and monetary donations!!! Each and every one means the world to us!!
"This here's the Duck.......looks like we've got ourselves a CONVOY, C'mon!"
We wrapped up the snowbound night in the hotel with a sip of Canadian
#FreedomSauce ........!!!!!!
🇨🇦 THIS IS OUR CANADA 🇨🇦
