Dunno if there's a more scientific explanations to it, but as far as I know deja vu is explained as either knowing people well enough to know what they're going to say or seeing something that you subconsciously notice/figure out and know what's going to happen before becoming truly aware of it. Holy fuck guys. I just remembered something from when I was a little kid.
This took place frequently between Kindergarten and 2nd Grade..in third grade we moved to a different state and I don't ever remember it happening after that. I guess it could've happened before Kindergarten too. I don't know.

I would be riding in the car, in the passenger seat, and I'd be talking with my mom, and she wouldn't answer, so I'd look over and she wasn't there. The car was still moving and we were still travelling safely, but there was nobody there.

I just called her and asked her about it and she said she remembered me talking about it and it happened every few car trips. We talked about it and after we got off the phone I thought about it and had a flashback: We were pulling into a parking lot across from the toy store near my house where I was gonna go buy some Pokemon cards. We pulled into the parking space, and I looked over and she wasn't there. I then looked out onto the main road, which we were facing in our parking spot. The cars going by had no people in them.

Just...what the fuck. I totally forgot this and it's all rushing back and it's kind of overwhelming. Please, someone tell me they've had shit like this happen to them.

I just remembered another thing: everything got really silent when it happened. When we would be talking, I'd be waiting for her response and look over and there'd be nothing. Kinda like right when she was supposed to answer the world just disappeared. I remember I couldn't hear the car engine or the tires on the road. I never recall it happening when we had music playing.

there were mushrooms that grew all over the playground field that were extremely dangerous. if you threw them at the brick wall of the school a few days or a week later it would be pitted there. of course we weren't allowed near them.

i was part of our 'touchstones' project (google it) all throughout elementary school, which for the longest time i thought was some kind of false memory i had created. the reason being that OUR touchstones was the college-level version (in a k-5 elementary school), they pulled out 10-15 of the supposedly 'gifted and talented' students for a period every few days, from across all grade levels, and had us study and discuss college-level ethics and philosophy. the only reason i stopped thinking it a delusion was because i found a copy of the booklets we used at goodwill. i now genuinely, earnestly believe this was part of some kind of manchurian-candidate type system that i either narrowly avoided or have been slowly slipping out of.
