Well Ghostfags, we're been talking about this day for years and most recently months. We FINALLY got our Ghost/Steel in Monorpale. Granted I'm willing to bet this Pokemon has shit defense and it's unlikely it will evolve.

Will Gen VI be the gen of ghosts? Gen V was pretty nice but this is shaping up to be even better.
>>
There'll be a night weather effect to boost ghost, dark and bugs.

Hitotsuki will be an extremely offensive steel type with access to spikes and rocks, while also being a spinblocker
>>
With the famous catacombs in France, I hope so.
>>
>Will Gen VI be the gen of ghosts?
Doubtful - though, with Fairy type being introduced, there should hopefully be a slew of likewise supernatural entities that'll result in more Ghost types. So it should be a good gen for us, with luck.

I am also hoping that Monorpale/Hitotsuki evolves, but avoids the overly predictable development of becoming a knight, and instead remains as either a sword or some other sort of melee weapon.
>>
Do we know yet if fairy's weak to steel, or was ice the only one Smash kind of made seem likely?

Not sure why bugs would get the bonus - thematically, it suits Poison better.

That's why I don't think it will evolve, why would it evolve into a bigger sword kinda silly UNLESS there is a Ghost/Steel defense Pokemon like a empty armor with evolves WITH Monorpale.
>>

The rattled ability has solidified bug/dark/ghost as a pseudo type trio. They're also the three common fears.

Dont see how poison ties specifically to night

I was thinking more along the lines of Dark, Poison and Ghost generally being the more trickster associated typed - which ties in with the connotations of the night.

I still say Bronzong should have been Ghost/Steel all along. It's based on a bell forged with a haunted mirror, for god's sake. That being said, Hexcalibur will definitely have a welcome spot on my mono-ghost team, as long as its stats aren't sableye-tier.

>>
>>12887135 (OP)

Seeing as ghost type has the smallest number of pokemon (not including fairy or the other new type they're revealing just before release) and the reason they've introduced fairy type is to add more ballence, it is a safe bet to say there will be a higher proportion of ghost type, fairy type and the other new type making up the new pokedex this gen to get a more balanced national dex.
>>
>>12887642
I feel like Gamefreak should just take a break on water types until it's all balanced out.

>>
>>12887693

>>
>>12887730
With shit like that, maybe the metagame would get a little less hyper-offensive
>>
>>12887716
So we get a low priority move that deals damage based on either Defense or Special Defense which depends on the move used by the opponent. I suppose it fails if the opponent doesn't attack?
>>
>>12887741
when your opponent hits you, your attack stat is used instead of your defense stat

then, after the damage is taken, you deal 1.5X damage back
>>
Can someone post or link to the pictures that they took during the expo of Blade, here?
>>
>>12887741
it ensures you don't die, which then ensures you deal a lot of damage.
Only thing it wouldn't work on is something like Extremespeed or a strong Special attack.
>>
>>12887757

But say you boost its attack up- logical, considering it's a sword
doesn't that mean you're taking, and thus dealing less damage with Parry than you would with a less powerful attack stat?

Gen VI is the gen of steel types, OP. The evidence is everywhere.

THIS IS THE GEN FOR STEEL
>>
>>12887664

Masuda sort of accidentaly let slip about a time type possibly (you'd need to reed between the lines of what he said and employ wishful thinking to some degree though, but it is a possibility) and cosmos or gravity is another rumoured type.

Whereas those types mentioned might be taken with a grain of salt it is certain that they'll be saving something big for the last reveal before the games released to get everyone hyped up. There is also the fact that the mascot ledgendary pokemon STILL haven't had their types revealed, which will hurt pre-orders as people will be unsure of which one to order (I love Yveltal's design but it would be silly to get Y if it turns out it's a dark/flying type). The only reason they would be keeping that a secret still with only 3 reveals to go is that it is linked to their big final reveal in September. So that's why many people suspect there will be another new type or types relesed then.
>>
