The more I look at it, the more I hate it...
I can't help myself but it just seems like it don't fit in the Pokéworld. This is the first time that something like this happended to me. I just can't like it... Maybe cuz it's so lifeless and looks like a Equipment from a random RPG (Poémon excluded), like Kingdom Heats or something. Okay... Its a ghost Pokémon... Its allowed to be look lifeless...

I would really enjoy the idea if this would be just a form and not the pokémon himself. The true Pokémon would be a foggy something with the Type ghost. The sword would be an item that need to be wear. Or a place in a cave that need to be vistied with a sword hidden somewhere. Like the Moss/Ice Rock.
If it would be like this, i could reconcile with this Pokémon :<

I can get people not liking it, because people are bound not to like some Pokemon. I do think it fits in the Pokemon world though, it's design gives me some Brozong motifs and we've seen ghost types made to resemble objects like Chandelure. It has a "face" and an "arm" too so I don't think it's "just a sword either." A sword isn't much of a stretch and if we can have other inanimate objects why not a sword? Plus it fits the whole fairy/magic aspect of Kalos I guess.

Two unused circles? They're fake eyes, The white "eyes" and "mouth" are holes in the scabbard and the lines in those areas are the lines that are on the sword itself. It appears to be a face, but it isn't.

the two unused circles and the shape below it make faux-eyes and mouth with the shape of the blade. they are holes in the sheath, so you see through to the blade underneath.
I think it's a clever design choice and only add to the charm of this guy.

I love the design. I haven't hated a single Gen VI design yet, which is weird because I needed time for the Gen V designs to grow on me.

The only problem I have with Honedge is that it's a sword, but it weight four and a half pounds.

If it has an evolution I'd like to see it as a "beefy", shadowy figure with some armour barely covering it (just a helmet and a breast plate), carrying around the sword it once possesed in its "hand".
