I don't think getting the XL is really necessary. If you have the money for it, then sure but you should think about getting a special version one because they're usually much nicer.

I think we'll probably see one with XY with Yveltal or Xerneas outlines like the Reshiram/Zekrom ones, although its kind of up for debate if they'll be 3DS or XLs. Personally, I'd say they'll be having a 3DS version consoles.

I'm kind of tempted to buy an XL because how much better everyone's saying it is, but since it's already been a year since it released and I already have a regular 3DS I'm just going to wait another year or two for Nintendo to release another totally new 3DS.

I'll probably buy it next month if my family decides to give me money for my birthday. Other than that I will probably wait a week before X/Y comes out

I bought mine for MH3U, but probably not gonna get any more games for it until X. So not the best value for money but what you gonna do.

I have the Ocarino of Time 3DS, but my brother got an XL recently and that screen size is pretty fucking great.

If the Animal Crossing 3DS XL comes out over here I might have to buy it.

I couldn't bear to trade mine in for a discount. I just can't sell old handhelds for some reason.

Flame Red original 3DS here, just picked up Soul Hackers.

Waiting for colors I want to come out in the US before I even consider getting an XL, I'm fully satisfied with my original. Only reason I want to pick up an XL is because from trying the demo units, it's a lot more comfortable to hold and the buttons are better, but I'm fine with all that on the original already.
