A Japanese 12 year old homosexual pacifistic Pokémon professor and new Pokémon designer was teaching a class on N, known Pokémon rights activist.

"Before the class begins, you must get on your knees and worship N and accept that he is the greatest Pokémon trainer the world has ever known, even greater than Red!"

At this moment, a brave, patriotic, old school retro champion who had played 1500 hours in RBY and understood the necessity of Pokémon battle and fully supported all military decision made by the Kanto region stood up and held up a Pokéball.

"What is this, pinhead?"

The arrogant professor smirked quite Jewishly and smugly replied “It's an enslavement device, you stupid nostalgiafag"

"Wrong. It’s been 15 years since RBY was released. If this ball is 15 years old and enslavement, as you say, is real… then this Charizard would've tried to break free by now."

The professor was visibly shaken, and dropped his chalk and copy of Black 2. He stormed out of the room crying those plasma crocodile tears. The same tears liberals cry for the “enslaved" (who today live in luxury and gets to enjoy battles every day) when they jealously try to claw justly earned Pokémon from the deserving trainers. There is no doubt that at this point our professor, M, wished he had pulled himself up by his bootstraps and become more than a plasma pokémon professor. He wished so much that he had a pokémon to kill himself with from embarrassment, but he himself had petitioned against them!

The students applauded and all bought old copies of RBY that day and accepted Mew as their lord and savior. A Pidgeot named “Original 151" flew into the room and perched atop the Kanto Flag and shed a tear on the chalk. The Pokédex for the first 151 was read several times, and Mew himself showed up and removed every Pokémon past the first 151.

The professor lost his tenure and was fired the next day. He died of the Pokérus for fucking his Pokémon and was tossed into the lake of fire for all eternity.

They weren't added due to lack of room. They had Pokemon designed in Gen 1 in Gen 3, but they only planned to make two, which means that only those introduced after G/S/C were failures, even by your logic.

Everything? Kanto could have variety in terrain if Gamefreak had remember with FRLG and HGSS that Kanto having monotonous environments in RGBY was because of hardware restrictions, not the product of how they actually envisioned it.
