I think most people see it as just another variation of the DS, so they're hesitant to switch. In reality it's a whole new console, and the switch to X/Y's gameplay is a bigger step up than R/B to B2/W2 is.

And I'm so happy about it. Sableye has been one of my favorite pokes since I first caught one back in Sapphire. Such a cool guy, but his stats were downright terrible and he was relegated to NU. Then GF trolled me by giving him the absolutely worthless stall ability in Gen IV and giving us spiritomb, a dark/ghost that totally outclassed sableye.

I love that I'm able to use Sableye in Gen 5 with prankster, and this will truly be the story of the little engine that could if he gets an evolution and kickass new moves like parting shot in Gen 6.

Besides, Sableye is far from a wall. Look at its awful second-evolution-tier stats. Your Salamence would take a hit better 90% of the time.
