Happy Valentine's Day, 4chan! In celebration of Forever Alone Day,
I'm taking board requests and general site suggestions at moot@4chan.org and on AIM at MOOTCHAT.

A few small changes: You can now view the site while banned—bans only prohibit you from posting. This is a trial and we'll see how it goes, it might be reverted.
Also there is now a [Top] and [Bottom] link in threads to help you navigate the page more easily.

UPDATE: I just got done going through the ~2,000 e-mails I've received over the past 24 hours. The result is 15 new board ideas and over 20 immediate to-dos.

Keep an eye open for upcoming announcements, and thanks to everyone who wrote me.

4chan Chrome and Firefox extensions updated. Firefox extension is now compatible with Firefox 10+ and the Chrome update contains bug fixes.

We don't even know what we are merging with, why would we want that. "merger" is always just a friendly way of saying "we are going to replace you with new people, slowly. One new manager here, a few lay offs of oldfags, and replacing them with our newfags." We won't have any say because "Its not /vp/ anymore Pokemonfag, we get a say too" even if the only thread we get to keep is the wifi general it will be protested and trolled by whoever we are "merged" with.

And /vp/'s been nothing but generals and mad recently, because people can't ignore trolls and don't have a sense of humor. So getting their shit slapped will do them good. All the good, non-generals posters have been kinda shafted and ignored recently.

going to point out a few things
1 he did say that he'll probably merge with something
2 he did NOT say what, just that he has an idea in mind, and it won't be "/mon/" for all monsterish games
3 "a few weeks at the earliest" is his response to how long this is away

Though i am negative about this, i think it'll probably clear up some of the shit we have here, though i actually enjoy posting on a slow board, i can go to work and return without being afraid a funny thread will 404 or something

Well, if what >>8760121 says rings true (it'll be a few weeks+ until this happens) I guess the smart thing to do is leave the board for a day or two to avoid the flood of "OMG EVERYONE /veepee/ IS GONNA DIE OMG LET'S DO THIS ONE LAST TIME" posts...

The one thing I do regret, however, is after over a year of having a trip I only used to contribute to the board, I doubt very little people will remember my name. Tragic.
