I never played that game despite the fact that my cousin gave me a whole drawer full of the cards.

I still don't get the point of it
    >> Anonymous 09/12/11(Mon)18:07 No.7873815
Is it still an open beta version? When's the full game coming out?
    >> Psyduck 09/12/11(Mon)18:11 No.7873844

Yeah I thought of it like that, Then I played it on here. It's pretty damn fun.
    >>7873815
Not sure. But they added a lot of features since I was last on. Like you can play online now I think.
But there are still more features to come it seems.

Current 'Play Online!' Interface. Looks promising
    >> Anonymous 09/13/11(Tue)02:48 No.7877921
right now you can play online with a basic electric deck. You can unlock fire, water and grass decks from doing some single player thing. You can trade and deck build too, but you have to buy real life cards to get a booster code first. Right now the mods are teasing that later you can buy online boosters with online currency, but they havent done it yet.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/11(Tue)03:03 No.7877986
It's okay, I'll probably play more when they add a friends list and being able to play those friends and not get a random matchup. I like being able to go out and buy cards for the real game then go home and get some cards in the online game too. A good opportunity to try out different deck ideas since you don't usually get the same cards in the online game that you do in the real card game (due to being able to get a different booster than the one you bought for the code and the random nature of booster packs anyway).

It'd be hard to implement (due to there being a dickload of sets and a currently limited amount of ways to get codes) but I'd like to see an unlimited format someday online.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/11(Tue)03:07 No.7877998
Deck building menu is a major clusterfuck from what I've seen.

Otherwise, the whole thing is godly. Surprised Game Freak would do something like this.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/11(Tue)03:20 No.7878054
Just a little tidbit of info on the code cards for those that actually get them. So far I've seen four different types:

-The booster pack ones, which gives you a booster credit for any booster (the first HGSS and up is what they have)
-The theme deck ones, which give you the theme deck you bought (I know the two newest ones have it, and I think the first three for B/W have them too)
-One you find in the extra pack in the 3 pack sets that include 3 packs, the extra pack, a promo (Zorua or Pansage), and a bronze Reshiram/Zekrom coin. It's shit, it just gives you a hat in game, and it's always the same hat. You can get this set in game too for 3 booster credits.
-A promo card code that you get in the set that has a collectors album with Virizion/Cobalion/Terrakion and Thundurus/Tornadus on it. Gives you a promo (I assume it's the Darumaka the set comes with) and a customization item I'm not sure of since I haven't entered the code I have yet.

It feels like they're going all in for this, and it's not just a minor thing on the side of the real game, with all the different code cards there are. It looks like every new booster/theme deck/gift set will have codes from now on. Looks like it's going to be a very nice supplement to the TCG.

Yep, wouldn't be surprised if there's more codes for cosmetic shit coming down the line. And as a kick in the balls the extra pack that had the code sucked dick too. 3 shitty basics.

At the very least Reshiram/Zekrom won't be hard to come by online if the box sets for them coming later on have an extra code too. I'll be getting a bitchin' Zekrom fig regardless though.

You just have to drag them from your deck list to your card list and vice versa.
Or use the wizard. Drop an energy card into the wizard and instant deck.
    >> Anonymous 09/13/11(Tue)04:13 No.7878202
Man, why'd they have to reset what everyone had? I had a bitching electric deck going. Two Ampharos Primes, two Lanturn Primes, and two Zekroms.

Now I'm stuck with jack shit.

That does look nice. It kind of sucks that the fig is the same one that was in the tins earlier in the year, but since I never got one of those tins (I got back into the game a couple of weeks before Emerging Powers came out) it'll be nice to get one.

The Zoroark set looks like it'll be the better deal. The jumbo card is the same as the promo card and it has a Call of Legends booster too. More Call of Legends is always nice.
