Not at all. My favourite arc is Hoenn but the original Kanto arc is my second favourite especially because of the emotion that was in that series. It being the first series has nothing to do with it, if it was the most recent series I'd feel the exact same way.

In fact it's because Kanto was so good that I got into Pokemon in the first place.
