Solo'd my to G-Rank and I don't feel like I've gotten as good as other people

Any civ game. More specifically civ 3 how the fuck can a spear man with no upgrades survive 3 bombs and 2 tanks? That is when i stopped playing civ 3.

Tekken. I'm able to pick up new fighters fairly easy, but for some reason I can never consistently do better in this game regardless of how much I practice. I always forget punishes, fall for obvious strings, and get hit while trying to backdash poorly at a bad time.

i found these games to be much more enjoyable when i was a child and all we did was button mash, or at the most know a combo that was 2-3 actions.

i don't have the time, nor do i feel like putting in the effort to learn a 6 button combo. i bought one of the newer street fighters and was excited to play it with my old room mate just to have some fun and fuck around like the good old days. after two matches of me barely beating him, he felt the need to go to the combo screen for every person he picked so he could beat me.

i have no problem with a game that's challenging, i just have a problem wit a game that is challenging for stupid reasons. or maybe i just have a problem with assholes who can't handling losing and suck the fun out of everything by reading strategy guides or staring at a character menu for 20 minutes.

Absolute shit is too strong a term but something about the aiming and movement in Natural selection 2 really throws me off. The sort of awkward, high-speed, jumping, encirclingness of it.

I really like fighting games because it looks fucking cool being able to do all the combos and shit, but I cannot for the life of me memorize all the combos

Seriously in RTS games I am absolutely awesome at the macro level. But woe is me come fight time, I am absolutely horrible at managing my units accordingly.

This is especially true for me in the total war games, where I am pretty gud on the campaign map. When I have to take command in a battle though, odds are that I will win, but lose more then half of my men if the odds are equal or worse.
