I only just finished dead space 3 the other day. What the fuck was that about? I was only scared legitimately about twice, and the repetitive, action heavy "hold this room" scenarios got boring fast.

Some of the weapon crafting was cool and no doubt the game is pretty well polished, as I have come to expect from Visceral, but in no way was that anything like the horror experience EA said it would still be.

As for the story, I didn't really read many logs as I went along, I should try and do that on my classic play through. Maybe that would have made the experience better. I thought the pacing was off and Danik wasn't a compelling bad guy. I was hoping for more creepy unitology stuff and conspiracies to do with EarthGov. And the ending was uhhh... well, I'm still not sure how I feel about that. Were there any comics or animated shorts leading up to DS3? I liked the animated comic for DS1.

Mostly agreed. Though after playing the co op you can tell they really used that to fill in some gaps gameplay wise which isn't good.
