B

C.

I can deal with Try-Hards. They're fun to beat online, and I like trying to go out of my way just to piss them off. Hilarious reactions.

Casuals aren't a problem to me. In fact, some of them can be fun. Like going to a friend's house and playing something casual on the Wii. Nothing really wrong with them.

I would have chosen fanboys, except I can't decide between just one fanboy group. They're all equally bad. Valvedrones, Biodrones, EA fanboys, Microsoft fanboys, even Sony fanboys. Besides, they're easy enough to ignore, and you don't even have to argue with them, that just stirs up more fire.

Femnazis are just hypocritical bitches who are trying to control everything. You can ignore them, but at some point or another they're gonna show up and yell shit or make the news or something. Plus, that whole Anita making 160k from begging thing is just bullshit and I'm just jelly because that's more than I've made in my entire lifetime. I could've bought a cheap house with that. I could've gone to college with that.

Episode 3 and/or Half Life 3 will be games of the same kind as Skyrim.
They will throw away anything that set out the previous games in favour of easier mechanics, more generic, standard enemies and levels, and pandering out the ass.

Don't forget the obligatory Doritos marketing campaign.

Half-Life 3 will most likely be a semi-open world game. At least that's what the rumors are saying.

And yeah, it will be focus group-tested to hell and back like HL2 and Portal 2 was. So many good things will be discarded from the game because Valve's idiotic testers can't cope with minimal problems. Valve will streamline HL3 badly.

Other than that, it will still be a very high quality game. If you're looking for AAA+, HL3 is that.

Can I chose to kill the whole totally business focused end of video games
Ironically those that continuously made better games would be better off
However I would also have to kill A as they are the closest thing I can blame to the variety drought that's affecting games
>>
>>180328331
I think you're thinking of Counter Strike while the other guy is thinking of a fun casual multiplayer flash game.
>>
>>180329716
Saying that won't cease you from being a pirate. You're too obvious. Normal gamers, i.e. buyers, don't whine about DRM all day long.

No, it's another type of copy protection. Not everything that involves piracy prevention is DRM you fucking stupid motherfucking goddamnit idiot eat shit Jesus Christ I'm sick of having this arguing with Valve defenders.
>>
>>180321636 (OP)
/v/, I like games like Dark Souls, the early Thief series, and whatnot. But I also enjoyed LoL, WoW, and other casual shit at one time or another.

Does this make me a B type gamer? Since despite playing to win I enjoy casual games and I try to be friendly?
>>
>>180329620
I was under the idea that DRM only affected people who actually bought the game. I mean the only people who were playing the new Sim City without problem were the pirates, the whole concept seems really backward to me
>>
Feminazis.
The games wins, the real feminism wins, nobody loses.

Valve hate has been around since fucking 2004, you were just too busy circlejerking about MUH SALES to notice it.
>>
>>180321636 (OP)
>A

I'm sorry tourneyfags are kids who can somehow turn a 100% co-op game into something competitive

And playing via meta... I fucking hate that shit
>Well, my character has supreme stats and is objectively better
Cool let's just play
>YOU CHEATER YOU BEAT ME BECAUSE YOU PLAYED CHEAP AND HAVE NO SKILL
Maybe you need to admit that you aren't all that great

And those fuckers that start a voteban or kick you from a server because you did one thing slightly wrong
>>
>>180329846
Well, Steam DRM quite clearly stops day 0 piracy.
>only people who were playing the new Sim City without problem were the pirates
I don't think they're still playing it.
>>
B of course, who gives a fuck what makes me mad? the only thing that matters is what is damaging the industry, and so far casuals are the primary offender.
>>
>>180329839
But you haven't been arguing. You learn in highschool the difference between a statement and an argument. You haven't made one argument. Just statements and curses and shitposts.
>>
C is the only option. A is annoying, B can be frustrating to play with, and D is just loud.

C is the only option truly toxic to vidya, and any other choice is merely self-serving, whiny bitching.
>>
>>180329961
Steam was actually pretty bad in 2004 though, so it was justified.
We're talking about the Valve appreciation on pre-/v/ga /v/
>>
>>180329961
Gabe threads didn't have too many shitposters in them. People made jokes about him being fat and how that would always delay HL3.
>>
>>180329961
True but it died around 2006 when steam stopped being as shitty. We then had nice Gabe threads and such.

There is a difference between not liking steam and going full shitpost hating valve and their fanbase.

>>
>>180329839
You should realize by now that labeling every other form of copy protection as DRM is a standard Valve fanboy tactic to make Steam seem more defensible. If you see someone do it, that's your cue to head for the hills while you can. They won't listen to reason.
>>
>>180329752
nah, without the market, why would the developers produce a game that will run a loss for them?

DRM refers to anything that stops a game being reproduced. At least you didn't say Valvedrone.
>>
>>180330090
Steam never stopped being shitty. The next generation of consumers who don't know how good people once had things just moved in.

>>180330391

Why? You can say anything is shitty without explaining it.

One post conjectures that it's newfags hating on Steam to fit in, yet steam has a dominant fanbase on /v/.

Another attacks steam and suggests that Rebbit; a large website which is well known for its love and valve and one had a recent overlap in userbases may be responsible.
>>
>>180330443
>The next generation of consumers who don't know how good people once had things
Like when? There was always DRM.
>>
>>180330510

Is this shit ever gonna stop? Sooner or later everyone on /v/ -must- get the picture on just how retarded this is... right?
>>
>>180330525
Leddit didn't exist when we had Gabe threads.
>>
A.
>sure are fun to watch when they snap, i dont want to get rid of that
B.

C.
>obviously the right answer
D.
>getting rid of one fanbase is useless, there will always be another fanbase that is worse

What exactly do you miss so much?
>Having to bust your ass hunting down patches for any old games
>Having to install shit like Xfire to talk to people while playing
>Draconian DRM that stops you from installing on multiple machines

I accept that we would all like to be able to give/swap Steam games to friends, but the positives far outweigh the negatives.
>>
>>180327171

>There was no puzzles in that game that required fast reflexes because otherwise gamepads couldn't keep up

Good. Puzzle games should be testing your problem-solving abilities, not your reflexes. I play puzzle games to be a bit more relaxed than playing a shooter or whatever.
