This game isn't bad at all. /v/ was wrong once again

+ Amazing atmosphere
+ It looks great. The entire environment, the enemies, the characters.
+ Score is fantastic
+ Thank god for the use of different scenery. I don't get why people complain about it being on an ice planet. The first 10 chapters are in space for gods sake, it's good they changed it up a bit
+ Voice actors did a darn good job
+ The immersion into the story just feels so good
+ After you completed single-player, it IS actually fun to play it co-op
+ Gameplay is fun as always

- Unlimited ammo imo. You just find so much of it. Even on hard i had constantly 900 ammo for every weapon part.
-Human enemies. Luckily they don't appear that often so this isn't a major complaint
-Repetitive work. Find piece A, then B, then C, put them together x10
- Boss fights are a joke
-Horror is toned down a bit, but it's actually not that bad as some fags here complain about
-No fucking split screen but online you can co-op?? this is the worst thing about the game

/v/ about this game:
>NO HORROR, HUMAN ENEMIES, NOT ONLY IN SPACE
>MUH AUTISM

7.5/10

Final Fantasy XIII was really pretty. And the soundtrack was quite good.

It's not a good survival horror game.

It's not a good action game.

The only reason you'd ever pirate this is if you just had to see how the story ended. In which case you should just watch the cutscenes on youtube or watch a LP like the one Helloween4545 is doing now.
>>
I just don't get why they added the whole tumbling mechanic. You don't need it AT ALL - neither versus humans, nor versus necros (god forbid you try to do acrobatic stunts in the middle of a pack of necromorphs, they will rip you a new one).

As for medpacks, yes, it seems like you get too many of them - and then you have to use like 8-10 during a MEATGRINDER section of the game. I played on Impossible, and died quite a few times, to be honest - it is too easy to get overwhelmed by the monsters.

I gave DS3 a chance. I really honestly did. I really fucking honestly did.

I even gave DmC a chance and mostly enjoyed it.

I'm a very fucking forgiving player.

But DS3 is just -bad-. It's not "$5 bargain bin Noah's Ark on the NES" bad. But it's a terrible fucking game compared to the first two. The story's alright but the actual gameplay is all wrong. If they wanted to make this a shooty game they should have made it a shooty game. If they wanted to make it a 2spooky game they should have made it a 2spooky game.

But it doesn't feel like either. It just feels... meh. At best.

It's like they just threw a game together with EXPLODING SETPIECE EVENTS for the sake of cashing in on the popularity of the first two. It's a game that didn't need to fucking happen.

One question for those playing it.
I'm currently 6 chapters in.
Are there actually any more suit types without using the shitty DLC/paid for ones?
I've had this EVA suit for a while now...

The two Dead Space movies were pretty fucking good.

Partly because they told their own stories instead of trying to "retell" a video game story in movie format. They were just set in the same universe. Which could have been a much better way to end the Dead Space story.

Of course that wouldn't make them as much money which is the only reason why DS3 exists.

Retarded fun.
Kinda like the retarded resi movies.
They're full of retarded pointless fan service and bare almost no resemblance to the games, yet some how are entertaining in a really dumb way.

Prince of Persia wasn't a bad film in a "pretend this has nothing to do with the games" kinda way.

Obviously this does not apply to any Uwe Boll film.
Those are outright shit in its purest form.
>>
I can't really explain how the combat feels different than two but it is.

Two, while more action oriented, had moments of atmosphere. However, three seems to just throw wave after wave of necromorphs at you to the point where it becomes predictable.

While doing that one side mission, connor towers or whatever it was called, I reached the first room with vents and canisters all over and new exactly what was going to happen. Then it happened two more times in the same mission.

Also, I haven't beaten it so i don't know if my suspicions are correct, but I find it odd no one is having an issue going along with the plans of unitologists driven insane by the markers
>>
>>175468707
The initial bit on the snow planet is actually pretty tense and atmospheric.
Have to not freeze to death while keeping an eye out for necros charging at you while you're being blinded by a blizzard.

It really feels like they've kinda cheaped out on the suits this time around.
1 and 2 felt like you upgraded to a new suit far more regularly.

Now its just all DLC suits.

I mean I get they do not have the impact the suits had in the last 2 games, since you upgrade your rig seperately and the suit doesn't affect your inventory or anything anymore.

It's scarier than the second.

- Boss fights are a joke

I disagree. The last two had better ones no doubt, but these weren't terrible. At least we got a genuine fimal boss this time instead of fighting something inside your head.

>Unlimited ammo

Nope, I found myself constantly buying ammo from bench

>Human enemies

How is this actually a bad thing? Really, the three way fights were hilariously entertaining.

>No split screen

>>175468707
Dead Space 3 has diagonal strafing, that's the main difference. If you spin your camera while strafing diagonally, you'll notice they haven't even bothered animating it.

2 is my favourite one. 1 was great, but it kind of lacked polish and confidence. 2 had better story, better atmosphere, better combat, and the shift from horror to tension and suspense served the franchise better because the devs didn't know how to make a scary game, as evident by 1.
>>
Anyone feel like the game is just dragging on sometimes? I'm getting bored of it but really want to finish. But the same enemies over and over and everything getting more predictable as time goes on is making me not want to launch it.

You can even tell by the suits they give you that this game is going to be more generic action 3rd person shooter. From the iconic engineer suit from the first 2 to the generic killzone 3 mixed in with mass effect.

If you look at the first 2 game's suits alone, you can tell what series/games they were from, they were recognizable, unique. Whereas the 3rd game, its blatant generic.

+ graphics are decent

- combat is extremely primitive. no need to use half of features, including crouching, cover and rolls.
- QTE during battle is retarded. especially when you must QTE while two other monsters are hitting you in the back.
- stomping corpses and resource boxes becomes a headache after 5 minutes in game. boxes have small hitbox, you also need to hit right piece of that dismembered corpse. half of corpses disappear before stomping.
- story is fucking awful. It's like ME3, only worse. blandest story, accompanied by blandest characters and blandest villain I have ever seen.
- 90% of enemies are the same, only attack patterns differ a little. you will meet like 20 human soldiers across the whole game.
- 80% of environment is "those dark corridors with blood everywhere". rest is "snow level".
- energy pull gimmick you need to use every-fucking-where without any reason whatsoever
- weapons are overpowered. you can easily complete the game with weapon you make during your first mission. Mjolnir one-shots everything and can chain-kill humans and many monsters.
- these XBOX-huge audiorecorders with single voice record from Mass Effect
- that retarded trope where main villain talks, talks, talks, until main character hits him and runs away, repeated 3 (FUCKING THREE) times
- that boss battle, repeated 3 times
- whole implausibility of events. obelisks are brainwashing, but MC is unaffected. Church of Kill All Humans somehow received global support of humanity
- majority of characters only care about themselves and their own feelings, while humanity's existence is at stake.
- checkpoints
- no point in experimenting with guns, gathering resources, etc. I don't even know why you need those tickets from resource bots.
- isn't scary
- "scary" music always shows when monsters appear and are dead. which makes game even less scarier
- final boss is retardedly easy.
- >muh relashionship
- ramirez, do everything
- boring as fuck
- no point in second weapon

Read the article, there are multiple glitches which basically give you infinite resources. Really dumb ones, like

You know, like the duplication glitch in Pokémon red/blue/silver etc.

Somehow this might be theft because there are microtransactions involved.

They compare it to "getting too much change while realising this and still walk out the store".

I tried it at the start of the game and it felt much slower. Maybe because you need to press more buttons, I don't know.

Yeah, I found that kinda derp.
Specially when the start was kinda awesome when you fly into the mine field and Isaac is just all
"Fuck this, I am taking over. Do this you faggot"
Isaac should have been the one explained what he was gonna do, back to them.
Instead of them telling him how to do it.
Like he should have just asked them to locate the certain systems he needed access to.

If your character is an Engineer qualified enough to be the only one required to go out and fix an entire planet cracker, fucking utilize him.

>it's intentional

Glitches are not intentional. Are you a member of EA's damage control?
