No, not at all.

I've already put 23 hours in. Even if I quit now, I would have been worth about 3 times as much as most games.

Why? I'm about 25 hours in and I'm enjoying more than any traditional RPG of this console generation.

Not yet, just got the boat and am enjoying exploring the little islands whilst also getting destroyed at every turn by high level monsters.

But anon-kun, RPGs are all ABOUT the artstyle. That and the story / soundtrack. They've always been glorified visual novels, you somehow expected the gameplay for this one to be amazing somehow?
