I was going to make this exact same thread but here it was waiting for me. I just finished writing down a list of GC games that I need to buy because so many series reached the heights of their potential on this system.

As I was writing shit down, I started to think about just how many Nintendo games that gen were really innovative and sort of redefined what the company and those series were all about about. Plus, they were almost all successful in pulling it off too.

I mean, you've got Mario Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Animal Crossing, Double Dash. To an arguable extent, even Star Fox Adventures and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, but that's not what this post is about.

Fuck I want all the Gamecube games so bad.

Ok so guys, how the fuck do I get my cube to look better on an HDTV?

I was thinking about getting an S-Video cable, anyone here have one? They're only $7 too.

I recently got WW again and I booted it up and I just hate how blurry it can be, I know the game looked better than this.

Also I get these lines on my TV when only using the cube, almost like a whole slightly transparent grid aross the whole screen, it's not always noticeable but when it is it's super annoying.

I really want to play my Cube and all the other games I have like REmake and Sunshine, Prime, ect.. But it all just looks like ass.

WW is decent enough to power on through, despite us getting an HD remake in Fall.

I think one of the best things about the gamecube is that it's aged really well. Where the controls feel a little awkward on the N64 or SNES today (at least to me), the gamecube still feels great. Same goes for the psone.

Component cables. I use component for my PS2, GCN, and Xbox on my HDTV (except for my Dreamcast, which uses glorious VGA) and it definitely helps boost the colors and definition even in 480i games.

About two years ago I thought I had "grown out" of video games and ended up selling about 1/2 of my GameCube games for ridiculously low prices. Only later did I see how stupid I was. Sure, I still kept most of the great games like Prime, Win Waker, and Melee, but I did end up getting rid of Paper Mario: TTYD and a few other gems.

Yeah progressive scan only works if you 1. have a component cable, the green and blue, I have a composite.

Also the only component cables for the Cube were made b Nintendo who don't make them anymore hence making them about $150 a pop for some.
