Finished replaying the DX:HR prebuild 10 times and really in the mood for more cyberpunk/futurism?
Me too. Here's a list of futuristic/cyberpunk type games to pick and play while we await DX:HR.

If you have any more to suggest, please do.

    MY VISION IS AUGMENTED tier
    ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
    --Deus Ex (Multi, FPS/RPG)
play this FIRST if you haven't already. A MUST.
--Deus Ex: Invisible War (PC, FPS/RPG)
a lot easier to get into if you think of it as a sort of non-canon side-story spinoff game to the series. don't be so harsh on it.
--Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Multi, FPS/RPG)
despite it not even being out yet, it has proven itself to be a worthy successor to DX and an excellent game.

    BLADE RUNNER tier
    ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
    --Blade Runner (PC, Adventure)
point & click crime solving adventure game. based on the movie but has a totally new, original story and does the setting justice. way underrated.
    --Gemini Rue (PC, Adventure)
indie adventure game made in AGS. memorable story and lots of atmosphere.
    --Shadowrun (SNES/SMS, Action/Adventure)
two different versions, two very different games - both excellent in their own way.
    --Snatcher (Multi, Adventure)
charming Blade Runner-inspired cyberpunk detective adventure, designed by Hideo Kojima.

    END OF THE WORLD tier
    ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
--Fallout series (Multi, RPG and FPS/RPG)
fantastic RPG series that everyone should have gone and played by now.
the latest two games in the series are FPS/RPGs, while the first two are isometric turn-based RPGs.
--Beneath A Steel Sky (PC, Adventure)
highly atmospheric, gripping cyberpunk game that's well-loved and free to DL on GOG.
--I Have A Mouth, And I Must Scream (PC, Adventure)
post-apoc sci-fi based on a book, multiple endings and branching storylines. twisted and depressing.

    DISTANT FUTURE tier
    ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
--Wing Commander: Privateer (DOS, Space Sim)
space exploration and combat, great plot and very immersive, despite how dated it is.
    --Freespace 2 (PC, Space Sim)
both freespace games are great space combat games, but many feel 2 has the strongest plot and gameplay.
    --X-COM series (DOS, Strategy)
highly addicting isometric tactical combat, each game great and with their own pros and cons.
    --DOOM 3 (Multi, FPS)
took a lot of ideas straight out of the System Shock series. it's a lot slower paced from the previous games in the series and more immersive and involving on
a different level. lots of religious mythology.
    --Mass Effect series (Multi, Action/RPG)
rich lore, memorable characters and story, fun combat, beautiful visuals. both 1 and 2 are close enough in quality that I can list them as one entry.
    --System Shock series (DOS/PC, FPS/RPG)
innovative first-person shooter/RPG series that never truly got the attention it deserved, and should be played by anyone into the genre/themes present.
the first game has no mouselook, though, so beware.
    --Marathon 2: Durandal (DOS, FPS)
2D DOOM-like shooter with dense lore and an immersive world, developed by Bungie pre-Halo.
    --Dead Space (Multi, Action/Adventure)
memorable story, beautiful visuals. scary if screeching alien entities are what scare you. gameplay is like Resident Evil 4 in space.

    THE FUTURE, TODAY tier
    ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
    --Portal series (Multi, Action/Puzzle)
puzzle games with a lot of humor and character. both 1 and 2 are close enough in quality that I can list them as one entry, but Portal 2 has the strongest plot.
--Metal Gear Solid series (Multi, Action/Stealth)
known for its intense stealth gameplay and ridiculously complicated science fiction plot.
    --The Dig (PC, Adventure)
lucasarts point n' click, super atmospheric game about space discovery with a strong plot and lots of albeit illogical puzzles.

I guess this could've been a tier list image, but the descriptions wouldn't've fit on one properly and I felt like they needed some description.

would the star wars games qualify?
they're pure futurism, but they're pretty obligatory and nobody plays SW games when they're hankering for futuristic games really

I'd like to add The Longest Journey in the adventure genre. Half of it takes place in a cyberpunk world the other in a fantasy one.

Also Omnikron: The Nomad Soul that is if it still runs on anything.

And, going by that, there is a game Bungie made right before HALO called Oni, which is Ghost in the Shell : The Vidya Game

It's not particularly cyberpunk, though. :/

There are GitS games though. None are very good.

The ones that come closest to "good" would be the 3D shooter thing for PS1, called simply Ghost in the Shell, and the PS2 game by cavia (guys who would go on to make NieR) called Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex. It's not terrible, but it's not that great either. It does have the English dub cast of the TV series though, so that's cool.

Someone needs to do an openworld take on GitS with light RPG elements. Parkour movement ala Mirror's Edge. Make sure to have plenty of methods to do missions as well.
