Join the armed forces for 3 years with your degree as an officer, get tons of experience - security clearances, leadership positions, deploy as an officer to an area that is incredibly unlikely to ever receive any attack - come back get yo dick sucked by USAjobs.com

Fuck internships working for free so i can get a job and work for money. Fuck that shit but you know whats worse paying for school so i can earn a stupid paper so i can get a job which i will spend most of the money earned on paying back the loan that i took out so that i could earn the stupid paper that i needed to get the job in the first place.

Fucking whatever happened to the good old days of doing stuff of just getting a job and starting at square one and slowly working your way up the ladder and eventually retiring after putting 20+ years in said job.
Nowadays unless you were born into a family that could put you into a nice school or are just lucky/have a shitton connections you will never be able to retire.

Go for small businesses. They are normally less picky and if your friendly you become a part of the "family". I interned(paid) at a small business and after the intern was done they didn't have the money on hand to hire me as a full employee, so the owner actually took out a loan so they could keep me around.

I never understood this. Isn't the whole point of being a defense lawyer to uphold the principle that *everyone* gets a defense? It's not her job to care whether he's innocent or guilty, it's her job to defend him and let the jury decide one way or the other.

That's not what I mean. The whole point behind a criminal justice system is that everyone gets a fair trial, and that the only group of people allowed to decide whether the defendant is innocent or guilty is the jury. That means that every trial needs a prosecutor, but also that every defendant needs a defense attorney. When I hear "I think you're guilty, so I refuse to defend you", I take that less as meaning "I refuse to help you weasel your way out of this" and more as meaning "I'm denying you your basic human right to a fair trial."

She was fine defending people and presenting the facts but her higher ups (she didn't have her own firm) were asking her to do some pretty scummy stuff like getting DNA evidence thrown out because the person that found the body touched it and things like that. She says a lot of people go into criminal defense to make sure criminals get put in jail, but it is more profitable for the firm to keep them out. But I don't know anything other than what she tells me.

But that shouldn't matter. It's the principle. EVERYONE gets a fair trial with competent representation, even people who go on top of a building and scream "I RAPED AND KILLED HER!" If he really is guilty, then it show in the results of the trial, it's not supposed to be her place to decide who is and who isn't worthy of representation.
