Got put on probation twice and took me six years to graduate. First job took a while to get but since then not a single employer has even asked about my GPA.

Go for small businesses. They are normally less picky and if your friendly you become a part of the "family". I interned(paid) at a small business and after the intern was done they didn't have the money on hand to hire me as a full employee, so the owner actually took out a loan so they could keep me around.

She really is. She studied to be a lawyer then worked as in criminal defense for 8 years. Got a client she had to defend that she knew was guilty so she quit her job, sold her house, moved to the beach and opened up a employer consulting agency with no way to support herself if things went down hill. It's a hard economy, and frankly getting a job is hard right now. You can get experience from volunteer work, however, and there's many organizations who need your help.

That's not what I mean. The whole point behind a criminal justice system is that everyone gets a fair trial, and that the only group of people allowed to decide whether the defendant is innocent or guilty is the jury. That means that every trial needs a prosecutor, but also that every defendant needs a defense attorney. When I hear "I think you're guilty, so I refuse to defend you", I take that less as meaning "I refuse to help you weasel your way out of this" and more as meaning "I'm denying you your basic human right to a fair trial."
