As for my vote, I have to go with gbatemp. The forums are rife with Nintendo fan-wanking 14-year-olds that don't know shit about anything. If it weren't for the fact that the site had plenty of homebrew available from pretty good devs, I'd never visit it.

League of Legends by far. Followed by Street Fighter fans.

That forums dedicated to GTA. 13 year old mines.

I spent so much time on GameFAQs in my youth, I have a bit of a soft spot for it...but yeah, the community is fucking horrible and 13 year old me didn't make it any better.

I know the blizzard forums are pretty bad.

The vast majority of it is bronze league sc2 players whining about balance.

The TL forums are in my opinion over moderated (then again I'm a channer so almost any visible moderation feels like a lot) but it's still a hell of a lot better than blizzard's forums.

Gamespot, but this probably applies to most gaming communities. The people/kids there are fucking retarded beyond belief. Did you know that if it's against forum rules to talk about homebrew/programming on a forum, it must be illegal and you should be thrown in prison for doing it? I'd have to say League of Legends, I can only play if I'm playing with at least 3-4 other people I know aren't faggots, otherwise I can't tolerate it. I can't think of any other online game where I'm like that.

I guess what I hate the most if how much of tryhards they are. I think LoL is a fun game, but taking it seriously is as bad as taking Smash Bros or TF2 seriously. You'd think by level 30 people would notice that constantly bitching won't win them matches, but they haven't.

I went from totally browsing /v/, and thinking forums like SA were shit, to browsing SA mainly, and only browsing /v/ at night when people stopped posting because thats when the kiddies are asleep.

I'd rather talk about video games, and that doesn't happen on /v/ anymore except for certain time slots. If I have to deal with not posting like I'm 13 again for a few hours to be able to talk about video games, then sure, sounds reasonable.

I've lurked SA's game forums recently (fuck paying $10 just to talk to people I don't even know), and they have a relatively no-nonsense community and mindset. Maybe the key to good forums is charging a fee. I will say they are relatively clueless about the Wii homebrew/piracy scene. It's a pity, cause I would point out all the unnecessary stuff they install, but I just can't be assed to pay $10.
