I don't care what everyone says. The ending was horribly paced, moved way to damn quick.

>>77474387As a non weeaboo I highly recomend it.If you watch a lot of anime I think you will lose interest half way trough, but I can assure you that it's worth watching all the way trough.
Changing this thread to vidya related if Cowboy bebop was to made into a game. How would it play. What are the mechanics. Would it be its own storyline or tide into original story.
not vidya
My favorite ep. was the one where Faye learned of her past and Ed left. Made me realize how much I actually liked the characters.Crew of the year, all years
>>77474438I think that's what made it what it was, you felt a sudden loss. You felt something for the character, the death coming suddenly left you in shick, reflective to how death usualy is in real life.
AMIGO!
You do me proud sometimes, /v/. Time to go smoke a cigarette in Spike's honor.
>>77474598There is a Cowboy Bebop vidya, google it. I can't remember.>>77474647>saging a CB thread, shoo newfag. Don't you have a get thread to attentd to?
episode 5 (when we meet Vicious for the first time)that episode about Faye's pastJupiter Jazz pt. 1 and 2Real Folk Blues part 1 and 2lots of great episodes.. I liked how the episodes in this series had almost nothing to do with the previous ones (except the two parters). I like anime that do this more than episodic ones.
this thread is now vidya related
>>77474598>Bandai released a Cowboy Bebop shoot 'em up video game in Japan for the PlayStation in 1998. A PlayStation 2 video game, Cowboy Bebop: Tsuioku no Serenade, was released in Japan, and the English version had been set for release in North America during the first quarter of 2006. However, in November 2007, GameSpot reported that the North American release had been canceled.
Cowboy Bebop is incredibly overrated.
Bebop will always have a place in my heart for bringing me into anime, but it's very overrated.
>>77474708shock*>>77474840My next drink is dedicated to it.
I still tear up occasionally when watching Cowboy Bebop stuff because of that damn ending.Bang indeed space cowboy, bang indeed.

>>77475028>Bebop>over rated>Evengelion pictureOh the irony
>>77474708It wasn't the whole death scene, it was those entire two episodes. Cowboy Bebop always had a good story structure for a 30 minute show, but it seemed like they were trying to cram 3 hours into 1 hour.
>>77474871The vidya was never released outside Japan, and it wasn't -that- good to be honest. We need a real Cowboy Bebop game. How about, free roaming bounty hunting? What do you roam around freely? The fucking Milky Way bitch. Some faggot ran murdered a whole family and ran off to Pluto? Hop in the Bebop and catch that bitch for a fat ass cash reward.Of course there will have to be some sort of story involved. Far as gameplay, fuck make it like the anime, amazing mixture of unarmed combat with gun play.Fuck I want this so bad.

>>77475090The director when asked whether spike was dead or not said "I don't know, but I feel that if I we to make sequel the fans would be upset."In other words he wanted to do a sequel and troll the fuck out of everyone by bring back spike but due to the unexpected popularity (much of which do to that ending) he decided against it.
>>77474989>>77475028it's not overrated.. the series is genuinely good. It's one of those anime that ANYONE can get into, even non-weeaboos. Because it's westernized and it's just good. The characters are all likable too.

>>77475317It's good AND overrated. That's how overrated works. It's good but it's not AS GOOD as people make it out to be.
>>77475267I can agree with that. It's definitely one of the few episodic anime I enjoyed a lot.
I love bebop but you still are making this board shittier by bumping actual vidya threads off page 0. You can say "I don't give a fuck" but you can't deny it.Also whether there is or isn't a Bebop game is irrelevant because this thread's not about it.
>>77475028>"Overrated" being used in the place of "famous" and "easily identified"You guys say the same thing about vidya games too.

>>77475317overrated =! badThe masses consider Bebop to be a masterpiece. 10/10 in other words. If I we to rank it I would say it was great and give it an 8.5 or 9. That is why it's overrated.

>>77475441nofun.jpgNon-content is more welcome than Console Wars.
>>77475480Nice strawman.
There honestly needs to be a prequel OVA.. it is doable. It could be about Spike's past when he was friends with Vicious and met Julia. Even about Faye's time in our present before she was (frozen? cant remember).I don't know, but it's doable.. a sequel obviously would not work and would ruin everything, but a prequel would be great. The director should seriously get on this.
People forget that Cowboy Bebop had it's share of boring, and almost borderline bad episodes.
>>77475198I'm guessing starfox-eque space battles. I hope they try and make a game out of this again. saw some of the ps2 game it does suck.
>>77475090It's true, but at the same time... I don't want him to be dead. I really don't.I usually hate the happy ending, but god damn it, when Julia died, oh my god I felt an incredible sense of loss. I don't even understand it, it was like a whole, happy lifetime had been taken away from me. I wanted them to survive, I wanted a syrupy, sweet, happy ending.Ahhhhhhh Spike, why'd you do it mate?
My favorite episode would have to be the one with Video games
>>77475511I was trying to post some of the forgotten songs, very few songs in the entire OST that I'll even consider skipping.---------------------------Hey faggots, stop arguing over is it overrated or not.It it overrated, and it is also amazing, now shut the fuck up and have a Cowboy Bebop thread!
Overrated is such a poor descriptor. It basically means "I didn't like it as much as other people." Its sole purpose is to draw attention to the speaker, who wants to be known for having a dissenting opinion that he parades about as fact.
I don't remember Spike dieing in the manga, very little in the manga was actually in the show at all.

I love Bebop, but one thing really annoys me. You know that episode where Faye gets that video from the past and it's a betamax? Wiki has Faye's birthdate as 1994. For her to have been the age she appears in the video (roughly 14-16), it would have to have been recorded around about now. Nobody uses betamax now, or VHS, or any physical media when recording things. Just sort of gets to me.

>>77476638But it's not about predictions, it's more about logic. In 2000 nobody was using betamax and the transition to digital storage was well under way. Surely an event that takes place several years after 2000 would also not use betamax, right? Unless of course, despite her birth date stating otherwise, they also wanted to give contemporary viewers the idea that Faye's life really is stuck in the past.
Hey guys, just throwing out a suggestion: If you liked Bebop you'll like Firefly. Character based episodic series revolving around a group of noble "degenerates" in space. Why this formula hasn't been used more often is beyond me.

>>77476972I liked Spokey Dokey. The harmonica is just awesome.Really I hated pretty much all the ones with vocals in it for some reason.
My favourite part of Cowboy Bebop was everything before Ed and Vicious shat it up.Prior to them: fuck yeah this stuff is awesome, feels like something a western company would make!Once they get added: oh boy, generic long-white-hair emo villain and SHRIEKING young "comic relief"* girl. Fuck you, Japanese culture, you ruined another good thing.*Cowboy Bebop was already lighthearted; it didn't need comic relief.

Cowboy Bebop is just about the only anime that's socially acceptable among non-weeaboos.
Does /v/ like Soul Eater?Worst ending of the year, all years.
>>77477153I respect your opinion, I love the jazz in it. Some of the songs that were just used in the backround of random scenes arn't that great to be listened to out of context though.
>>77477199Betamax was still long dead though. Just always gets me.
>>77477011Yeah, for most of the episode they had Jet and Spike trying to find a betamax player in the deepest corners of the Earth and space because it was so obsolete. Once they found one, they could finally watch Faye's video.. It was really heartwarming IMO.Although they could've done the same thing with a DVD.. I'm sure in 2070 or whenever CB takes place optical discs will be a thing of the past. But then again, CB was made in the VHS era, so yeah.
>>77477023>If you liked Bebop you'll like Firefly.No. Even when I stopped liking anime I still would tell people that CB is great, but I could not get into Firefly. I tried, but it tried too hard to be western and sci-fi at the same time, and just fucked up both.

Even Spike says himself that he walks through life as if living through a dream, and that dying is simply waking up from that dream. The tragic irony is, at the beginning of the show, the first scene is the fleeting moments from the end of the show, followed by spike waking up.The plot's cyclical, a fate worse than death.

>>77478388Uh... the first Mass Effect never really had a sense of urgency, I felt, personally.Sure, once you get to Virmire, it starts shifting into overdrive, and Ilos really does get into the whole sense of urgency, but the Ilos sequence was just so hauntingly beautiful - music, visual design, theme - that I didn't really mind. All in all Mass Effect is mostly just having fun exploring various uncharted worlds. This assumes, of course, that you enjoy the Mako sequences. I do, personally, and never had a problem with the controls.
>>77478061Don't know about space exploran but you should try Planetes or Outlaw Star. Diebuster and gunbuster are always relevant though they are nothing like Cowboy bebop.
