Ok here's a run down
IN Kingdom Hearts 1, Sora stabs himself and becomes a heartless, reforming when Kairi hugs him.
His
old body, the one that was destroyed when he stabbed himself, became a
being known as a "Nobody". Nobodies are the Bodies and Souls of people
taken from the darkness while Heartless are powered by the disembodied
hearts of people. (yeah its stupid). So Roxas is born.
So Sora
goes through Chain of Memories and gets his memories screwed up so he's
put into a pod for a year. While in the pod, Xemnas gathers up some of
his latent memories or something and makes Xion out of it. Xion looks
like Kairi at first because she's so special to Sora or something.
Eventually Xion fuses with Roxas and he is able to use 2 keyblades.
Roxas is captured and is assimilated back into Sora so Sora can be a
complete being.
Meanwhile we find out that 10 years ago, there
was a keyblade weilder named Ventus who had an evil doppleganger named
Vanitas forged from him by the series big bad. VAnitas and Ventus fuse
together and Ventus is transformed into a ball of light at the end of
the game. A young sora finds this ball and absorbs it into himself, and
now he can use the keyblade |
