Asians have Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in May (I believe it's meant for all Asians, but it appears to be mostly Pacific Islanders) and Hispanics have Sept 15th to Oct 15th. I'm too lazy to look up Native Americans, but I'm sure there is one. The only thing is, Black Heritage month gets more play because African Americans are (as far as I know) the largest minority with Hispanics following closely behind.

It probably is. I graduated from a ritzy white kid prep school on the east coast and all the black people were either athletes that came from the hood or smart kids. All my friends were and still are primarily white and Asian, apart from my 5 billion "cousins" that are Nigerian.

Haven't seen the other two, but the protagonist in Training Day was an uncool loser that got his shit kicked in by Mexicans and black people. He couldn't satisfy his woman and was ignorant of "street smarts" and common sense. He looked strung out even before the botched joint. He was a pussy.

That said, I don't see any reason why a director should give 2-3 years of his career in service to people unlike him because movies are avenues used to express the personal experiences of the director, not some hurtburt demographic that he has nothing to do with.
