I love Goosebumps. I read them avidly, until my third grade teacher tried to make me switch to Nancy Drew books, since she thought girls weren't supposed to read Goosebumps books.
She wasn't even a real teacher, she was just subbing for a few months.
After that year, I read them again.

I read it because there was nothing else to read.
From that point until about 5th grade, I read Goosebumps almost exclusively.
