No,the online is dead for a reason. Because it's a slow paced version of Guilty Gear and the only people who actually like it don't even play the game. They just fap to Taococksucker or whatever that furries name is.

I didn't give a shit about Rachel in CT because she was one dimensional and too good, but in CS she's got weaknesses, and takes a lot of skill and thought to play well. She's not my main now, but I can beat my Ragna/Bang friends with her after a good bit of practice, she's still competitive, you just have to get over your lack of effort and actually try.

Guilty Gear has a VICIOUS learning curve if you ever want to be considered 'decent' at it. Most the people still playing it are quite hardcore and took a lot of time to learn combos and matchups, and in a lot of cases, can easily take someone that doesn't know the game and reset combo them to death within 10 seconds of the round starting.

But, if you're just playing it for fun against the computer or something, you'll be fine. Just pick someone relatively simple to get into like Sol or Ky and let the good times roll with gatling combos into DP or something.

15% of health is say... 2000 damage, which is about right if you're getting a piecemeal combo off a random hit, but if you land a solid ground to ground 5B, you can pretty easily spend a wind or two and break 3000, and if you've got meter, break 4k without too much trouble, so long as you practice and know which characters require what at what distances (far 5B requires a bit of timing with the wind and the 5C for a frog combo to work right, or a dash 6A combo to work well).

She's certainly low tier in CS, she's no Ragna where every hit he lands in every situation will lead right into his ONE BNB if the player is good enough at reacting to landing a hit. But she can work.

I mained Tager as well and the problems with balance were real. They were also very simple problems that could have been fixed in a single patch. i.e. Tager's sledge is fully projectile invulnerable. There, I just fixed half of his problems right there.

The bigger problem with CT was that it was an extremely shallow game at higher levels of play. As in, even advanced mid levels of play.

Well, at a base level... Slayer? Slightly slower moving, high health, high single hit damage. As the game progresses though they don't really play anything alike. Haku doesn't have much of a GG parallel, aside from his C attacks being a little like Jin's HS attacks.

I work really fucking hard to get a Tager down to half health only to get caught by a Genesic Emerald Tager Buster and lose more than half of my fucking health.
