While I'm totally down for anime conventions laying the banhammer down on homosuck faggotry, I really hope this whole "let's just quietly cancel things behind their backs" doesn't become an actual trend. Are they afraid that the homestuck fandom will lash out or something? It's not even their con. I was talking with a member of the board of directors for AX and they were contacted directly by Hussie himself to cancel all panels for Homestuck, saying that they didn't belong at AX.

The conversation was held on Monday after closing ceremonies, so there would be no actual reason to cover up the truth. We also asked why AX was so disorganized and everything, since in many senses it wasn't a good con this year.

What really hits home when you go to this con is that you can actually have intensive conversations about the subject of the con. Meh I didn't really feel AX this year. I wonder how much of that was attributed to the X Games. On the subject of the X Games, I didn't have a problem with them. All the guys I talked to were bros and wanted to come and check out AX. The only problem I had was a bunch of TERRIBLE pick up lines from guys on BMX bikes.
The cgl gathering was fun but I felt a tad awkard not being able to recognize everyone asap. Shout out to Desu, G, Kbro, Obasu, and all the other cool people who Venice and I hung around and made the con as fun as it was.
On another subject, I'm pretty butthurt about not being able to find photos of my costumes... I work hard on these things and I like having pictures to archive my struggle.
I think next year may be my last AX depending on where I move to.
