I only played local multiplayer with my friends on the Nintendo 64 and (believe it or not) Xbox 360.

PS1 was only RPGs and fighters (but nobody wanted to play stuff like Gundam Battle Assault 2 or Ehrgeiz) and all of my multiplayer experiences with the DreamCast, PS2, GameCube, and Xbox were online. I only had a second GameCube controller for some sort of Action Replay shit or moving items between characters in PSO.

Though local multiplayer games are so rare this generation on the 360. A lot of them require you to have two copies of the fucking game (Saints Row 2 for example). So many times my roommate and I would rent something to play together, get home, then find out we had to go back and rent a second copy.

Split up, went to college, a couple marriages. We still play TF2 and WoW with each other, but it's never been the same as Goldeneye after school or marathon sessions of HoMM 3.

I have precious few friends who still play video games. And even fewer who still play them as much as we used to. I joined the military and got away from all of the parasites that I used to talk to on a daily/weekly basis who just do drugs and sit around all day. I don't even really like playing video games anymore, I just like to talk about them.

Occasionally something will come out that I'll have a ton of interest in Demon's Souls, before it even came out overseas, and I'll play the hell out of it and then there's nothing else to play for a long time. Feels bad man.

All of my friends who still play video games are incredibly casual compared to how I used to be.

Had a weird relationship with my friends. After they realized video games weren't popular in HS they dropped like it was a disease. I continued with it and then we just stop being friends. After college they've had a change of heart, eating up all the popular video games that was socially acceptable and mature. They've contacted me and for the first time in years. I've never felt so much contempt for them leaving me out of their lives simply because I kept doing something I enjoyed. I pretty much gave them a middle finger and now game with the people I went to college with and co workers.

Well he liked Baccano and Metal Gear Solid 3. I started him on 3 since the story is simple and the graphics are good enough to keep him from getting distracted by Shiny Objects. Turns out the MGS1 disk doesn't work on his PS2 for some reason, so we're playing 2 while I try to get the PC Version onto his laptop.

Now they're dating, and she'll probably move in with him.
