I
can't tell you the number of times I've been in a vidya thread that had
404'd unexpectedly, yet every shitty troll and shit thread from obvious
console war shit to "WHY DON'T YOU HAVE A GIRLFRIEND" to "YOU'LL NEVER
EXPERIENCE [insert here]" to "DERP DE DERP DERP DO" not gets hundreds of
posts, but they last for HOURS at a time.
Also, the sheer
number of threadshitting that takes place is astronomical. I mean, start
any thread, no matter the content, and you get everything from "VIRAL
SHIT DERP DERP DERP" to "WEEABOO SHIT DERP DERP DERP." If it's pokemon
people will threadshit, if it isn't pokemon they'll threadshit, if it's
any game that doesn't appeal to FUCKING EVERYONE people will threadshit.
And while that's always been common to a certain extent, it is WAY more
common now than it has been before. And considering we haven't even
ENTERED summer /v/ yet, I don't want to see how it will end up.
And
I've just scratched the surface of all the problems we have on /v/ that
could be solved with a couple good mods.
Ah well. You probably
won't even read this or anything, but it was worth a try to get this out
