No, we had a slight great after-WW2 upturn in economy, England in the 50's and 60's was a booming place economy wise. Our docks and general job market had a case of people 'walking in and out of jobs' weekly.
    We had it sorted.
Thatcher came along, modernised the whole of Britain too fast. Forgetting about the labourers whose jobs she was cutting down upon.

Since you don't know about job renewal in bad economic climates. Let's think in basic terms.
You give students £10-£30 to keep them from taking up a part time job. More hours to STUDY, and a VACANCY to a person who isn't in further education.
Person not in further education then goes onto the job, and doesn't need as much benefits, thus saving about £5 roughly.

Hating on Thatcher is just like hating on the PS3. Any redeeming factors fall by the wayside because individuals are too retarded to have their own opinions and just go with the flow.

That said, I hate Thatcher because she stole my milk. No, seriously, she stopped the "free milk for school children" schemes we had going. Fuck the bitch.

Why not? More to the point, why do you go straight to 'Weed fund'. Since you obviously either have it cushy, or have had a biased view of a stduent life, then let's think properly and un-bias. The money given to a student will be spent on WHAT-THE-FUCK-EVER. Be it more 'nice' clothes, ale, weed, whatever and whatever. They are NOT gonna save it, atleast most aren't who QUALIFY for it. This then goes straight back into the economy. Boosting it.

    http://www.migrationwatchuk.org/Briefingpaper/document/3

    2. Government claims for the economic benefit of large scale migration do not survive critical examination. The calculation that immigrants contribute 2.5 billion annually to the Exchequer depends entirely on the period chosen and the assumptions made. The Home Office paper on which it was based describes the estimate as "tentative". Against that, the annual outflow of personal remittances amounts to 3-4 billion a year; the net outflow is about 1.1 billion per year. Claims that migrants add to economic growth ignore the fact that they also add to our population. Correcting for this gives a net benefit to the host community of less than 0.1% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per head per year - a result confirmed by major studies in United States, Canada and Holland. Even this benefit takes no account of the additional economic congestion costs.

    3. The claim that migrants contribute to pensions is dismissed by the UN as requiring "virtually impossible" rates of immigration. The House of Lords economic committee concurs. The labour market impact depends on the sector. To the extent that immigration holds down wages, it makes it more difficult to attract into the labour force the one million on incapacity benefit who would like to work.

    4. There are considerable social costs in terms of additional strains on housing, public services and social cohesion. A range of serious commentators have concluded that the issue cannot, and should not, be decided on economic grounds alone.

The Tories will damage the recovery further with their ridiculous economic plans, they will become immensely unpopular due to the sheer rabidity of their spending cuts, and the Lib Dems will hopefully safeguard the most important parts of government as well as get us a bit closer to proportional representation.

Cameron will be out on his ear after about two years and the Tories will spend another two decades out of power. It's going to be a tough old two years but I shouldn't worry too much lads, because that's as long as I think they'll last.

Conservative governments raise taxes after they create economic growth because it serves two purposes:
1: Prevents inflation getting out of control.
2: Allows them to pay off the huge national debt the Liberals run up spending money we don't have on anti-white "equality" quangos and taxpayer funded gender reassignments and abortions.

    >Huge national debt
I see you've been reading the Tory papers vigorously. The national debt is more than managable, with our working class wages on general rising quite well.
Taxation plans by the Tories are also laughable, why scrap the higher tax rates past a certain 'earning point' if they really wanna sort the economy? Don't bother bringing up 'all the rich people will leave the country due to too high taxes'. Let's get something solid here.

The earning point isn't the problem, it's the vast saving most of the wealthy do. If economy is booming, then you'll notice higher saving trends in the wealthy. This means money is being taken out of the economy rather than being 'recycled'. This is bad, really bad.
The tax merely softens the blow of saving problems, and helps 'SAVE THE ECONOMY WOO' in the terms of most Tories, although i could be paraphrasing the quote. Though it still holds truth.

From figures published February 18th 2010, UK public sector net debt was £848.5 billion. (or 59.9% of National GDP) – Source: Office National Statistics

So, 60% of GDP is only huge if read the "Tory papers"?
What the fuck are you smoking?
We shouldn't have a national debt at this point. The reason we do is that the government was pissing money away during the best boom the country has experienced in it's entire history.

Any monkey with a secondary school education can tell you that you save money when in a period of growth so you can spend your way out of a recession when it eventually rolls around.

Next year the debt will rise to 1 Trillion pounds sterling.
If we paid off 20 Billion pounds per year, it would take 50 years to pay that off, during which time we can expect to experience something along the lines of three or so recessions going by recent trends.

If you think the nationa debt is not huge then you're living in cloud cuckoo land.

It is managable, completely managable actually. If the Lib Dems proposed spurt of spending is allowed, with a huge investment into certain work areas, then gradual 'government profit' will increase. Taxes do not solve anything, you can only tax so much. Stealth taxing also will not solve NOTHING, as that is as clear as day. Industries will suffer is taxes are raised due to money being taken out of the general economy (WHICH IS A FUCKING PROBLEM, which a monkey would know, hohohoho).

Immigration has worsened unemployment, just look at the correlation between net immigration and the increase in persons listed as economically inactive.

Immigrants took something like 98.5% of all new jobs created in the private sector in the last 5 years or so.

Labour did some very good things with that money. A lot of stupid things as well admittedly, but there's little point denying that if the Tories were in power when the recession hit we'd be in an even worse state than we are now. Whilst Labour were seriously stupid not to save whilst the going was good, the people who should really be held responsible for the vast hole in our public expenses are sitting in the city, not Westminster.

The deficit is indeed very large, but to attempt to get rid of it all as fast as possible will badly hurt this country and is typical of modern Tory short-termism. Also, to take 6 billion pounds out of the economy when we are on the cusp of clambering out of the hole is borderline retarded. A long term plan to reduce the deficit over 15 years or so would be much, much better for all concerned.

I'm not saying they took our existing jobs, I'm saying that they took newly created jobs.

This keeps our young people out of work and undermines our future workforce. We can't be reliant on immigrant labour, especially not when we have millions of our own unemployed, most of whom are looking for work.
It's a short term sticking plaster solution to internal logistical issues that will hurt our economy in the long run.
