Following the recently passed law against images of fictional minors in sexual situations, the UK government is now working on a new law that will result in Britons who kill enemies in video games being arrested for murder.

Our choices previously have been right-wing fascist pretend-leftists and right-wing fascists.

Now we have some middle of the road liberals as a possibility but the system is so skewed that they could conceivably get the most votes nationwide and still have no power. Like an extremely terrible version of the US electoral colleges system.

Plus Murdoch's right wing media has burnt truckloads of cash successfully convincing the racist middle-Englander public that the conservative party is progressive.

p.s. any other Britfags sometimes hear an edge in David Cameron's voice that sounds like President Eden from Fallout 3? Yeah.

Hi, you've obviously not studied law or politics.

The House of Lords hasn't had the power to strike down legislation since 1911 when the first Parliament Act was made law.

All they can do is amend and delay, and the Commons can always change the amendments. And since the second Parliament Act they can only delay for 1 year anyway. Have fun knowing exactly how fucked the system is!

    >>57767432
The country is divided into 'seats.' Every vote decides who gets a seat. Whoever gets the most votes at a seat wins that seat absolutely. Only 65% are likely to turn up at the election. Applied evenly, given there's usually 3 parties getting over 10%, it's highly likely that each seat will be won by someone who only 25% of the people in that area vote for.

Then, whoever gets at least 325 seats (I think that's the number) out of about 600 wins 100% of the executive power. They also (logically) have the majority of the legislative power, and the party leader can force every politician in a seat to vote in a certain way with what's called a 'whip', which means (tl;dr version) whoever wins the executive branch (cabinet office) has absolute power over legislation. There's no constitutional safeguards.

    >>57767803
    >whoever wins the executive branch has absolute power over legislation. There's no constitutional safeguards.

Which is how the Digital Economy Bill was passed when Lord Mandelson (famously corrupt homosexual jew) was invited by David Geffin, the head of dreamworks (a famously homosexual rich jew CEO) to a Rothschild villa (the famously corrupt and unscrupulous elite banking family). He came back, made the law 10x worse and likely illegal under EU law, and forced it through with a whip.

    >"WHAT! NO MORE FREE ILLEGAL STUFF?! BAWWW"
Sick of people saying this. Here's a hint:
    1) Torrent trackers insert randomly generated IP addresses to poison the well and add plausible deniability
    2) Your address could be one of the randomly generated ones without you even knowing what a torrent is
    3) Under the new law, the copyright holder of that torrent can get you cut off from the Internet and you need to take THEM to court to restore it, at your own expense, bearing their costs if you lose, because the burden of proof is reversed. You have to prove you DID NOT do something. How easy do you think it is to prove something IS NOT the case? (hint: look at the scientific method and why burden of proof exists at all)

What I'm trying to say is that just having a download tracked to a home ip address isn't enough, because anyone with Google culd work out how to get onto it and download what they want. You need actual evidence of that data being copied onto your hard-drive.

No, that's how a sane law would work, the Digital Economy Act just needs evidence infringement MAY have taken place or MIGHT TAKE PLACE IN THE FUTURE.

    Yes, really.

every time I read a thread about Britain its like shit is getting worse and worse over there

do you guys not notice the downhill slide? do you not care? am I imagining it because I do not live there?

It seems like you guys have a ton of undesirable immigrants streaming in, and lose more and more rights every day. And you guys just talk about it like its business as usual.

    >It's not homophobic, it's just opposed to the faggots demanding more rights like it's happening right now.

Well you completed the counter-point for me, thanks.

    >Yeah, it's never been in Parliament, because it's not a professional political party (read: pawns in the hands of the super rich).

I don't care about excuses for not being in Parliament, it's the fact that no one in the party has real political experience. And as someone said, the members are basically your typical working class guy who believes everything the rag says. Not exactly a good political force.

    >What other party plans to send the nigger/sandnigger scum leeches to the shithole they came from? And what about Afghanistan, you think Cameron won't just feed you with more lies about "terrorism" in there so that the troops will then stay there forever? The real terrorists are in Britain, and you faggots are the ones at fault. "Balanced" immigration system? Shiiiiit, nigga. British person moves out, sandnigger comes in. Two british people move out because said sandnigger came in. Two sandniggers come in, and the closed circle continues.

Yeah, and funnily enough the LibDems have stated they want to withdraw from Afghanistan, so if that's a concern for you they have that issue covered too. Likewise immigration is a very misreported issue: Migration is at its LOWEST in years, with IMMIGRANTS starting to leave the country. Things are getting better.

    >Anyone with any common sense will agree with me.

No, anyone with common sense will realise the BNP are a weak and inept party that will achieve nothing for an issue that doesn't matter. I mean, £50k for every foreigner who wants to leave the country? Where the hell is that money coming from? Did anyone sit down and think about this?

    You suck at rational thinking.
