Seriously? Hell, they haven't even figured out how to make FFXI private servers last time I checked.

They almost had ffxi private servers, but were shutdown by SE.

I heard that someone made a ffxiv private server where you could log in, and run around, but thats it.

Kind of like the alpha.

ProjectXI is not "dead", they simply say they are dead to get SE off their back. The IRC chan is still there.

The lead dev left because SE has all his personal info. He went to start his own game, and I have to say I followed. So did the other senior devs, as well as the major contributors. We do not plan on doing pXIV.

I have full sauce for any -real- devs who want to try their hand at finishing anything.

They have lead dev's personal info, as well as info on a couple of other senior devs. Also 'moonlight' in the IRC channel from time to time now is actually SE's California office monitoring us.

I was on the forums since early on and gave my POL account to the devs when they needed it.

I'm a developer, but some of that reverse engineering stuff was over my head. Would you really be willing to give it out? I mean I know it was open source, but I don't know how far you progressed after the last public release.
